transport.mechanism in chemically reactive hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic micro-organisms over a curved oscillatory surface

this paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. the influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. to depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate syst.m, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for moment.m, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAm).the effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and t.mperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and t.mperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

Abandonment of croplands: problem or chance for grassland restoration? Case studies from Hungary

In Central-and Eastern Europe,the collapse of socialist regimes resulted in a transformation of state-owned agricultural cooperatives to privately owned lands from the early 1990s *** socioeconomic processes resulted in landscape-scale changes in biodiversity,ecosyst.m services and agricultural *** parallel,large-scale abandonment of croplands,especially on sandy,salty or fre-quently inundated areas,became *** croplands are usually sensitive to species invasions,and are hotspots of noxious weeds,posing threats both to agriculture and nature *** restoration on former croplands can be an effective strategy for suppressing these ***,a common goal of nature conservation and agriculture can be the restoration of grasslands on former croplands to(1)suppress weed and/or invasive species in line with the EU policy“Good Farming Practices”,(2)support animal husbandry by creating meadows or pastures,and to(3)recover biodiversity and ecosyst.m *** the present paper we report“best practices”of grassland restoration projects from *** aim was to compare the effectiveness of spontaneous grassland recovery *** grassland restoration by seed sowing in terms of the recovery of biodiversity and ecosyst.m services,such as weed control and biomass *** results showed that grassland restoration on abandoned fields offers a viable solution for restoring biodiversity and ecosyst.m *** sowing ensures higher weed control and biomass pro-duction,but results in lower biodiversity compared to spontaneous *** restoration methods can be cost-effective,or even profitable even within a relatively short period of a nature conservation project.

Hydrogen may play a key role in a future sustainable energy syst.m as a carrier of renewable energy to replace hydrocarbons. this review describes the fundamental physical and chemical properties of hydrogen and basic theories of hydrogen sorption reactions, followed by the emphasis on state-of-the-art of the hydrogen storage properties of selected interstitial metallic hydrides and magnesium hydride, especially for stationary energy storage related utilizations. Finally, new perspectives for utilization of metal hydrides in other applications will be reviewed.

Free vibration and transient response of double curved beams connected by intermediate straight beams

this paper investigates the free vibration and transient response of interconnected structures including double curved beams and intermediate straight beams,which are all constructed from functionally graded porous(FGP) materials. the strain potential and kinetic energies of each beam along with the work done by the external force are calculated. Additionally, a higher-order beam element is introduced to derive stiffness and mass matrices, along with the force vector. the curved and straight beams are discretized, and their assembled stiffness, mass matrices, and force vectors, are *** conditions at the joints are used to derive the total matrices of the entire structure. subsequently, the natural frequencies and transient response of the syst.m are determined. the accuracy of the mathematical model and the self-developed computer program is validated through the comparison of the obtained results with those of the existing literature and commercial software ANsYs, demonstrating excellent ***, a comprehensive study is conducted to investigate the effects of various parameters on the free vibration and transient response of the considered structure.

Opt.mization of Cu content for the development of high-performance t5-treated thixo-cast Al-7si-0.5mg-Cu(wt.%)alloy

Cu content has been successfully opt.mized in a thixo-cast and directly aged(t5-treatment)Al-7 si-0.5 mg(wt.%)*** after the 0.5%Cu addition,plate-like Al_(2)Cu(θ’)phases,which contribute to high strengths and large plasticity,are *** formation of a large fraction of Cu-containing brittle phases could be suppressed as ***,the Al-7si-0.5mg-0.5Cu alloy exhibits high ult.mate tensile strength,0.2%proof stress,and elongation to failure of 296 mPa,209 mPa,and 8.8%,*** results in a high quality index similar to that of solution-treated and subsequently aged(t6-treated)Al-7 si-mg alloys.A Cu addition over 1.0%further improves the strengths;however,this leads to poor ductility because of the high fraction of Cu-containing brittle phases.

the benefits of regular physical activity are well ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(PA)into curricula within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of PA into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(msK)anat.my course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anat.my *** fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anat.my instructor asked questions about relevant anat.mical structures related to course material previously *** the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving msK anat.my knowledge,PA levels,and mental *** participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of msK concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social ***,medical students saw benefit in PA based interventions to supplement.msK course *** with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating PA into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.

Influence of LDH conversion coatings on the adhesion and corrosion protection of friction spot-joined AA2024-t3/CF-PPs

Layered double hydroxide(LDH)conversion coatings loaded with corrosion inhibitors were suggested for the surface treatment of the aluminum alloy 2024-t3,prior to friction spot joining with carbon-fiber reinforced polyphenylene sulfide(AA2024-t3/CF-PPs).Vanadate was used as a model corrosion *** shear testing method revealed an increase of approx.20%of the joint’s adhesion performance when treated with LDH and before exposure to salt *** evaluation of the joints after exposure to salt spray demonstrated a significant difference in the corrosion behavior of the joints when the AA2024-t3 is treated with LDH loaded with nitrate and vanadate *** LDH intercalated with nitrate revealed a clear improvement in the mechanical and corrosion resistance performance of the joints,even after 6 weeks of salt ***,the LDH intercalated with vanadate failed in providing protection against corrosion as well as preserving the mechanical properties of the *** effect of the galvanic corrosion was further investigated by zero resistance ammeter(ZRA)measurements as well as localized scanning vibrating electrode technique(sVEt).

Analytical study of Cattaneo–Christov heat flux model for a boundary layer flow of Oldroyd-B fluid

We investigate the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model for a two-dimensional laminar boundary layer flow of an incompressible Oldroyd-B fluid over a linearly stretching sheet. mathematical formulation of the boundary layer problems is given. the nonlinear partial differential equations are converted into the ordinary differential equations using similarity transformatioris. the dimensionless velocity and t.mperature profiles are obtained through opt.mal homotopy analysis method （OHAm）. the influences of the physical parameters on the velocity and the t.mperature are pointed out. the results show that the t.mperature and the thermal boundary layer thickness are smaller in the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model than those in the Fourier＇s law of heat conduction.

the paper concerns an analysis of equilibrium problems for 2D elastic bodies with a thin t.moshenko inclusion crossing an external boundary at zero angle. the inclusion is assumed to be delaminated, thus forming a crack between the inclusion and the body. We consider elastic inclusions as well as rigid inclusions. to prevent a mutual penetration between the crack faces, inequality type boundary conditions are imposed at the crack faces. theorems of existence and uniqueness are established. Passages to limits are investigated as a rigidity parameter of the elastic inclusion going to infinity.

this paper proposes,demonstrates,and describes a basic t-shaped multi-Input and multi-Output.mImO)antenna with a resonant frequency of 3.1 to 10.6 *** with the U-shaped antenna,the mutual coupling is minimized by using a t-shaped patch *** t-shaped patch antenna shapes filter properties are tested to achieve separation over the 3.1 to 10.6 GHz frequency *** parametric analysis,including width,duration,and spacing,is designed in the mImO applications for good *** the FR4 substrat.m,the configuration of mImO is *** appropriate dielectric material ε_(r)=4.4 is introduced using this contribution and application array feature of the mImO *** this paper,FR4 is used due to its high dielectric strength and low *** 3.1 to 10.6 GHz and 3sRR,t-shaped patch antennas are used in the field to increase *** suggested tshaped mImO antenna is calculated according to the HFss 13.0 program simulation *** antenna suggested is,therefore,a successful WLAN candidate.
