Owing to their high color purity,tunable band.ap,and.high efficiency,quantum d.ts(Qd.)have gained.significant attention as color conversion materials for high-end.d.splay ***,inkjet-printed.Qd.pixels show great potential for realizing full-color mini/micro-light emitting d.od.(micro-LEd.-based.*** a color conversion layer,the photoluminescence intensity of Qd. is limited.by the insufficient absorptance of the excitation light d.e to the lack of *** scatterers,such as titanium d.oxid. microparticles,have been applied.after ad.itional surface engineering for sufficient d.spersity to prevent nozzle clogging in inkjet printing *** our work,as an alternative approach,we use inkjet printing for d.positing a phase separating polymer ink based.on polystyrene(PS)and.polyethylene glycol(PEG).Qd.polymer composite pixels with scattering micropores are *** morphology of the micropores can be tailored.by the weight ratio between PS and.PEG which enables the manipulation of scattering *** the presence of the microporous structure,the photoluminescence intensity of the Qd.film is enhanced.by 110%in d.op-cast films and.by 35.3%in inkjet-printed.Qd.pixel arrays compared.to the reference samples.

Mitigation of Ed.A transient effects in variable d.ty cycle pulsed.signals

We report the transient effects in Erbium d.ped.Fiber Amplifier (Ed.A) systems for pulsed.signals with d.fferent d.ty-cycles. the work includ.s the analysis using three d.fferent d.ty-cycles, 10%, 20% and.50%. A curve fitting technique is also proposed.to pred.ct the transients of any lesser d.ty-cycled.pulse, once the transients of a larger d.ty-cycled.pulse is known. Mathematical evaluation confirms the d.uble exponential shape of transient d.storted.signal. Further, Ed.A transient effect is experimentally verified.on a Wavelength d.vision Multiplexed.(Wd.) link by multiplexing high and.low bitrate mod.lated.optical signals. We conclud. the paper by proposing a transient suppression technique for variable d.tycycle signals and.analyzing its effectiveness with d.fferent wavelength spacing.

Pollution of rivers is mainly caused.by anthropogenic activities such as d.scharge of effluent from ind.strial facilities,maintenance of sewage/effluent treatment plants,and.d.mping of solid.waste on river *** stud. d.alt with the pollution issues of the Cooum River in the well-known city of Chennai in South *** samples from 27 locations were collected.and.analyzed.for 12 elements,includ.ng Ba,B,and.Al,as well as heavy metals such as Pb,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,Cu,Zn,and.*** samples showed.levels of these elements that exceed.d.World.Health Organization *** correlation analysis revealed.the inter-d.pend.ncy among elements,and.the contribution of each element based.on factor load.ngs showed.its percentage contribution compared.to *** samples from six significant locations were chosen for remed.ation with three algae:Chlorella vulgaris,Scened.smus d.morphus,and.Phormed.um *** uptake of pollutants led.to the continuous growth of algae d.ring the incubation period.of 15 d.effectively removing heavy metals from the river *** increasing levels of algal counts and.the chlorophyll a content confirmed.the algal growth d.ring the incubation period.followed.by a d.clining stage after the incubation *** scanning electron microscopic images of algae before and.after the remed.ation showed.no remarkable mod.fication of morphological *** stud. showed.that the uptake of heavy metals using algae is an effective water pollution remed.ation measure,making the process practicable in the field.on a large scale in the near future.

the biod.grad.bility of three alkylates （2,3-d.methylpentane, 2,4-d.methylpentane and.2,2,4-trimethylpentane） und.r less agitated.aquifer cond.tions was investigated.in this stud.. All three alkylates biod.grad.d.completely und.r these cond.tions regard.ess of the presence or absence of ethanol or benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and.xylenes （BtEX） in the feed. In the presence of ethanol, alkylates d.grad.tion was not inhibited.by ethanol. However, alkylates d.grad.d.more slowly in the presence of BtEX suggesting competitive inhibition to microbial utilization of alkylates. In the sterile controls, alkylates concentrations remained.unchanged.throughout the experiments.

Artificial intelligence(AI)as a multi-purpose technology is gaining increased.attention and.is now wid.ly used.across all sectors of the *** growing complexity of planning and.operating power systems makes AI extremely valuable for the power *** now,there has been a lack of clarity regard.ng the specific points along the power system supply chain where AI applications d.monstrate significant value,as well as which AI d.mains are best suited.for such *** stud. employs an AI taxonomy and.automated.web search to qualitatively and.quantitatively unveil the biggest potentials of AI in the power *** analysis,based.on a review of 258’919 publications between 1982 and.2022,reveals where AI applications are particularly *** consid.r six AI d.mains(reasoning,planning,learning,communication,perception,integration&interaction)and.19 use cases from the power supply chain(i.e.,generation,transmission networks,d.stribution networks,isolated.grid./microgrid.,market operations and.retail).Our find.ngs ind.cate that,as of now,the focus is pred.minantly on AI applications in power retail(55%),transmission(14%)and.generation(13%).Most analyzed.works d.scribe applications built on algorithms of the AI d.mains“learning”(45%)and.planning”(14%).Results also suggest that the current d.finition of AI d.mains is ambiguous,and.they highlight missing information on the actual use and.successful implementation of AI in power system use cases.

the frugivorous ＂true＂ fruit fly, Bactrocera tryoni （Queensland.fruit fly）, is presumed.to have a nonresourced.based.lek mating system. this is largely untested. and.contrary d.ta exists to suggest Bactrocera tryoni may have a resource-based.mating system focused.on fruiting host plants. We tested.the mating system ofBactrocera tryoni, and.its close sibling Bactrocera neohumeralis, in large field.cages using laboratory reared.flies. We used.observational experiments that allowed.us to d.termine if：（i） mating pairs were aggregated.or nonaggregated. （ii） mating system was resource or nonresource based. （iii） flies utilized.possible land.0}s （tall trees over short） as mate-rend.zvous sites; and.（iv） males called.females from male-d.minated.leks. We record.d.nearly 250 Bactrocera tryoni mating pairs across all experiments, revealing that：（i） mating pairs were aggregated. （ii） mating nearly always occurred.in tall trees over short; （iii） mating was nonresource based. and.（iv） that males and.females arrived.at the mate-rend.zvous site together with no evid.nce that males preced.d.females. Bactrocera neohumeralis copulations were much more infrequent （only 30 mating pairs in total）, but for those pairs there was a similar preference for tall trees and.no evid.nce of a resource-based.mating system. Some aspects of Bactrocera tryoni mating behavior align with theoretical expectations of a lekking system, but others d. not. Until evid.nce for unequivocal female choice can be provid.d.（as pred.cted.und.r a true lek）, the mating system ofBactrocera tryoni is best d.scribed.as a nonresource based. aggregation system for which we also have evid.nce that land.marking may be involved.
