Coupled simulation of BES-CFD and performance assessment of energy recovery ventilation system for office model

thermal comfort and indoor air quality as well as the energy efficiency have been recognized as essential parts of sustainable building assessment. this work aims to analyze the energy conservation of the heat recovery ventilator and to investigate the effect of the air supply arrangement. three types of mixing ventilation are chosen for the analysis of coupling ANSYS/FLUENt （a computational fluid dynamics （CFD） program） with tRNSYS （a building energy simulation （BES） software）. the adoption of mutual complementary boundary conditions for CFD and BES provides more accurate and complete information of indoor air distribution and thermal performance in buildings. A typical office-space situated in a middle storey is chosen for the analysis. the office-space is equipped with air-conditioners on the ceiling. A heat recovery ventilation system directly supplies flesh air to the office space. Its thermal performance and indoor air distribution predicted by the coupled method are compared under three types of ventilation system. When the supply and return openings for ventilation are arranged on the ceiling, there is no critical difference between the predictions of the coupled method and BES on the energy consumption of HVAC because PID control is adopted for the supply air temperature of the occupied zone. On the other hand, approximately 21% discrepancy for the heat recovery estimation in the maximum between the simulated results of coupled method and BES-only can be obviously found in the floor air supply ventilation case. the discrepancy emphasizes the necessity of coupling CFD with BES when vertical air temperature gradient exists. Our future target is to estimate the optimum design of heat recovery ventilation system to control CO2 concentration by adjusting flow rate of flesh air.

Relationship between Primary Crystal temperature and Carbon Equivalent in Cast Iron

CE （=%C＋（1/3）x（%Si）） does not suit experiment results in many cases. In this work, the effect of alloy elements on primary crystal temperature was measured and the relationship between primary crystal temperature （tc） and carbon equivalent （CEL） was investigated. the results show that tc （Celsius degree） = 1650-110 × （%C） -25 × （%Si）＋3 × （%Mn） -35 × （%P） -71 × （%5）-2 × （%Ni） -7 × （%Cr）; CEL=%C ＋ 0.23×（%Si）-0.03× （%Mn）＋0.32×（%P）＋0.64×（%S）＋0.02×（%Ni）＋0.06×（%Cr）. that is, in hypo eutectic composition, carbon equivalent should be calculated with CEL=%C＋ 0.23×（%Si）, not with CE=%C＋（1/3） x（%Si）.

Effects of gamma-ray irradiation on electronic and non-electronic equipment of Large Helical Device

In a deuterium operation on the Large Helical Device, the measurement and control equipment placed in the toms hall must survive under an environment of radiation, to study the effects of gamma-ray irradiation on the equipment, an irradiation experiment is performed at the Cobalt-60 irradiation facility of Nagoya University. transient and permanent effects on a personal computer, media converters, programmable logic controllers, isolation amplifiers, a web camera, optical flow meters, and water sealing gaskets are experimentally surveyed. transient noise appears on the web camera. Offset of the signal increases with an increase of the integrated dose on the programmable logic controller. the DeviceNet module on the programmable logic controller is broken at the integrated dose of 72 Gy, which is the expected range of the integrated dose of the toms hall. the other equipment can survive under the gamma-ray field in the toms hall.

Effect of Water Vapor on the Oxidation of Pt-modified Ni-22Al Alloys

Cyclic oxidation behavior of two-phaseγ+γ'-Ni-22Al-5 and -10 Pt alloys in air with and without 30 vol.%H_2O at 1000℃was *** oxidation of 5 and 10 Pt alloys in air was initially rapid and followed by a slow steady-state *** oxidation during this steady-state stage was followed the parabolic rate law,and the parabolic rate constants for the two different Pt content alloys were *** the mass change of 5 Pt alloy during the initial rapid oxidation stage was much higher than that of 10 Pt,and it resulted in higher oxidation mass gain on 5 Pt alloy after 500 *** oxidation behavior,initial rapid followed by slow steady-state,was observed when the alloys were oxidized in air+30%H_2O,however the initial oxidation mass change in the wet atmosphere was much higher for both alloys than in ***,the oxidation rate constants for both alloys during the steady-state stage significantly decreased in the atmosphere with water ***,oxidation mass gain on the 5 Pt alloy was not observed after about 100 cycles of oxidation.

Asymptotics for the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers Equation

We study large time asymptotics of solutions to the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers equation ut＋uux-uxx＋uxxx=0,x∈R,t〉0. We are interested in the large time asymptotics for the case when the initial data have an arbitrary size. We prove that if the initial data u0 ∈H^s （R）∩L^1 （R）, where s 〉 -1/2, then there exists a unique solution u （t, x） ∈C^∞ （（0,∞）;H^∞ （R）） to the Cauchy problem for the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers equation, which has asymptotics u（t）=t^-1/2fM（（·）t^-1/2）＋0（t^-1/2） as t →∞, where fM is the self-similar solution for the Burgers equation. Moreover if xu0 （x） ∈ L^1 （R）, then the asymptotics are true u（t）=t^-1/2fM（（·）t^-1/2）＋O（t^-1/2-γ） where γ ∈ （0, 1/2）.

人类活动导致的泥沙变化已成为全球水库和河流的主要问题,研究大坝建设对泥沙沉积的影响具有重要的意义。本研究基于水文站水沙数据、利用DEM提取大坝水库信息等多种数据,研究黄河、长江、珠江和湄公河等亚洲大河大坝建设对泥沙沉积的影响。本研究基于亚洲大河大坝研究过去数十年土壤侵蚀动态变化,探讨其潜在的环境风险。主要研究结果如下:（1）研究表明,河流泥沙中仅很少的一部分被输移至大坝以下。亚洲大河大坝/水库的泥沙拦截对输沙减少起明显作用,例如黄河小浪底水库自1999年运行以来,对泥沙输移起极大的作用,在2001~2010年间,黄河下游河道侵蚀13.79×10~8m~3,并且黄河三角洲2000年开始表现出侵蚀的特征;自2003年开始,三峡大坝的运行成为长江输沙减少的主要因素。与1950—2002年相比,2003—2015年长江上游（宜春站）和入海口（大通站）输沙量分别减小0.49×10~8 t/yr（9.9%）和1.43×10~8 t/yr（33.5%）。在2003—2015年间,泥沙输入量的剧减导致中下游河道发生侵蚀,侵蚀速率为61×106 t/yr;20世纪90年代之后,珠江河道和三角洲地貌演化发生演化,例如西河、北河和东河河床分别降低0.59—1.73 m、0.34—4.43 m和1.77—6.48 m。（2）大河输沙量的减少导致海岸带生态、地貌等环境发生变化。本研究中的几大河流由于来自流域的输沙量减少导致三角洲处于危险状态,其表现为减缓三角洲形成速率或增加海岸侵蚀,同时导致相对海平面上升、海岸洪水发生的可能性增加。由于泥沙供应的持续减少使三角洲萎缩,同时增加该区域洪水发生的风险。过去6000年间,长江三角洲在中国东海向前推进累计超过200km,但是,在过去60年,人类活动已经超过季风气候,成为入海输沙量减少的主要因素。因此,长江三角洲在潮汐带之间的海岸和侵蚀湿地减小;珠江三角洲人口密集,主要受到渠道屏障和海岸的保护,但是由于输沙量减少引起三角洲下沉和收缩,导致三角洲相对海平面的上身速度大于全球海平面的上升速度;湄公河三角洲开始形成于公元前8000年,在全新世时期形成从柬埔寨到越南的大三角州平原（62520—93781 km~2）。在过去3000年间,三角洲平均每年向前推进10—20 m。在千年尺度上湄公河流域的输沙量是稳定的,但是,海岸的退缩已成为目前的主要问题。湄公河大多数的三角洲海岸线分布具有相似的特征,表现为由冬季强烈的海浪使在东北区域侵蚀、西南区域沉积。（3）大坝/水库将大量泥沙拦截于河道或沟道中,表现出人工水库在减沙方面的巨大效益。由于梯田、水库或大坝拦截在河流或沟道中的泥沙占进入河道中的比例超过80.0%。与其他流域类似,黄河流域由于整个流域上的人类活动使大坝建设对输沙减少贡献率达95.2%。根据输沙量的差值,1950—1970每年沉积在河道中的泥沙量高达2.48 Gt。值得注意的是,随着水库/大坝建设和库容的变化,泥沙拦截量基本上是固定的。目前,每年水库/大坝泥沙拦截量是0.59 Gt,相当于减沙量的47.6%。总体上,截至2010年河道中已拦截泥沙19.32 Gt,其中5.90 Gt拦截于上世纪,其余沉积于本世纪。人工大坝/水库在减沙中具有巨大作用,淤地坝将40.32 Gt泥沙拦截于河道或沟道内。得出的结论是,近年来,亚洲大河的输沙量减少与全流域和三角洲地区人为活动加剧有关,水土保持工程也是水沙减少的主要原因。因此,如果大坝建设继续进行,河流中部分泥沙会被继续拦截,造成下游更大的环境影响。确定大坝积极的影响也是十分必要的,同时需考虑其产生的问题。在未来的研究中,需重点评估大坝建设对三角洲和冲积平原的影响。

Statistical manipulation of material data was conducted for probabilistic life assessment or risk-based design and maintenance for high temperature components of power plants. to obtain the statistical distribution of material properties, dominant parameters affecting material properties are introduced into normalization of statistical variables. those parameters are hardness, chemical composition, characteristic micro structural features and so on. Creep and fatigue properties are expressed by normalized parameters and the unified statistical distributions are obtained. these probability distribution functions show good coincidence statistically with the field database of steam turbine components. It was concluded that the unified statistical baseline approach is useful for the risk management of components in power plants.

this study investigated the effect of Israel grass in feed formulation on growth performance of local *** study was conducted from October 2023 until January 2024 in Kampong Chheutel Institute of *** CRD(Completely Randomized Design)was used with 4 treatments and 4 *** local chicks were purchased from local famer at 1 day old and kept in whole pen by feeding commercial *** 21 days old the total 320 chicks were allocated into experimental *** 4 feed formulas based on the level of Israel grass added such as 0,5%,7%and 9%,were called t1(control),t2,t3 and t4 *** result showed that body weight gain,feed intake,ADG(Average Daily Gain)and FCR(Feed Conversion Ratio)in all treatments were not significantly different(p>0.05).However,there was strong correlation between living weight with carcass of al treatments,but no difference among carcass percentage of local chicken for all different diet in this *** conclusion,the Israel grass did not affect growth performance of local chickens and can be used to replace some expensive feed ingredient,such as rice bran.

Predictors of kidney tubular dysfunction induced by adefovir treatment for chronic hepatitis B

AIM:to investigate the predictors of proximal kidney tubular dysfunction(PKtD)induced by adefovir dipivoxil(ADV)treatment for chronic hepatitis ***:Seventy-nine patients(age at the evaluation of PKtD:56.9±10.7 years)with chronic hepatitis B undergoing long-term oral antiviral nucleos(t)ide analogue treatment were consecutively *** was defined by the presence of at least two of the following five abnormalities:phosphate diabetes,nondiabetic glucosuria,metabolic acidosis,β2-microglobulinuria,or renal *** single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)in the SLC22A6 gene encoding human organic anion transporter 1(h OAt1)and ABCC2 encoding multidrug resistance protein 2(MRP2)were analyzed using the taq Man Allelic Discrimination Demonstration ***:Nine(30.0%)of the 30 ADV-treated patients were diagnosed with PKtD,while no patients without ADV developed PKtD(Pthree patients with ADV were diagnosed with symptomatic *** the patients who took ADV,those with PKtD were of higher age at initiation,had significantly longer treatment duration,and had a significantly lower body mass index than those without *** incidence of PKtD dramatically increased after 96 mo from the start of ADV *** contrast,the SNPs were not correlated with *** regression analysis extracted older age at initiation(OR=5.0,95%CI:1.1-23.4;P=0.040)and longer treatment duration(OR=3.2,95%CI:1.2-8.6;P=0.020)as significant factors associated with ***:Our results suggest that the tubular function of the kidney of older patients undergoing longterm ADV treatment should be carefully evaluated.
