Use of animal models in preclinical transplant research is essential to t.e.optimization of human allografts for clinical *** models of organ donation and preservation help to advance and improve technical elements of solid organ recovery and facilitate research of ischemia-reperfusion injury,organ preservation strategies,and future donor-based *** considerations include cost,public opinion regarding t.e.conduct of animal research,translational value,and relevance of t.e.animal model for clinical *** present an overview of two porcine models of organ donation:donation following brain death(DBD)and donation following circulatory death(DCD).t.e.cardiovascular anatomy and physiology of pigs closely resembles those of humans,making this species t.e.most appropriate for pre-clinical *** are also considered a potential source of organs for human heart and kidney *** is imperative to minimize animal loss during procedures that are surgically *** present our experience with t.e.e models and describe in detail t.e.use cases,procedural approach,challenges,alternatives,and limitations of each model.

Meridional and vertical wind velocit.e. of t.e.free atmosphere were observed continuously in mid-latitude summer of 1981 by using Plat.e.ille St radar in t.e.eastern Colorado plains in order to obtain t.e.mesoscale spectra. Power spectra were obtained for both meridional and vertical components at heights of 3.3-7.9 km for meridional and 3.3-17.7 km for vertical. Results show that t.e."-5/3 law" is a good fit to "meridional" spectra for wave periods ranging from3hr to 2 days which are consistent with ot.e. published observations and give furt.e. evidence to t.e.existence of a universal -5/3 law in mesoscale atmospheric motions. Results also show that for wave periods shorter than 3 hr （to about 10 min）, t.e.spectra obviously depart from t.e.-5/3 law and reflect t.e.significant contribution of thunderstorm activit.e. which frequently happen in t.e.mid-latitude summer. Mesoscale spectra of vertical velocity show some characteristics of gravity waves. t.e.mechanism of t.e.observed spectra is discussed.

t.e.uterus is transiently receptive for embryo *** remains to be understood why t.e.uterus does not reject a semi-allogeneic embryo(to t.e.biological mot.e.)or an allogeneic embryo(to a surrogate)for *** gain insights,we examined uterine early response genes approaching embryo attachment on day 3 post coitum(D3)at 22 hours when blue dye reaction,an indication of embryo attachment,had not manifested in mice.C57BL/6 pseudo-pregnant(control)and pregnant mouse uteri were collected on D3 at 22 hours for microarray *** self-assembling-manifold(SAM)algorithm identified 21,858 unique *** component analysis indicated a clear separation bet.e.n t.e.pseudo-pregnant and pregnant *** were 106 upregulated and five downregulated protein-coding genes in t.e.pregnant uterus with fold change(fc)>1.5 andq valueene ontology(GO)analysis of t.e.106 upregulated genes revealed 38 significant GO biological process(GOBP)terms(Pt.e. were associated with immune responses,with a dominant natural killer(NK)cell activation *** t.e.top eight upregulated protein-coding genes,Cyp26a1 inactivates retinoic acid(RA)whileLrat promotes vitamin A storage,both of which are expected to at.e.uate RA bioavailability;Atp6v0d2 andGjb2 play roles in ion transport and transmembrane transport;Gzmb,Gzmc,andIl2rb are involved in immune responses;andtdo2 is important for kynurenine *** of t.e.e genes or t.e.r related pathways have functions in immune *** signaling has been implicated in immune tolerance and immune homeostasis,and uterine NK cells have been implicated in immunotolerance at t.e.maternal-fetal interface in t.e.*** mechanisms of immune responses approaching embryo attachment remain to be *** coordinated effects of t.e.early response genes may hold t.e.keys to t.e.question of why t.e.uterus does not reject an implanting embryo.

HI in High Gas-phase Metallicity Dwarf Galaxy WISeA J230615.06+143927.9

We present resolved Giant Met.e.ave Radio telescope H I observations of t.e.high gas-phase metallicity dwarf galaxy WISeA J230615.06+143927.9(z = 0.005)(hereafter J2306) and investigate whet.e. it could be a tidal Dwarf Galaxy(tDG) candidate. tDGs are observed to have higher metallicit.e. than normal dwarfs. J2306 has an unusual combination of a blue g-r color of 0.23 mag, irregular optical morphology and high-metallicity(12 +log(O/H) = 8.68 ± 0.14), making it an interesting galaxy to study in more detail. We find J2306 to be an H I rich galaxy with a large extended, unperturbed rotating H I disk. Using our H I data we estimated its dynamical mass and found t.e.galaxy to be dark mat.e.(DM) dominated within its H I radius. t.e.quantity of DM, inferred from its dynamical mass, appears to rule out J2306 as an evolved tDG. A wide area environment search reveals J2306 to be isolated from any larger galaxies which could have been t.e.source of its high gas metallicity. Additionally, t.e.H I morphology and kinematics of t.e.galaxy show no indication of a recent merger to explain t.e.*** detailed optical spectroscopic observations of J2306 might provide an answer to how a seemingly ordinary irregular dwarf galaxy achieved such a high level of metal enrichment.

t.e.Combination of two Control Strategies for Series Hybrid electric Vehicles

With most countries paying at.e.tion to t.e.environment protection, hybrid electric vehicles have become a focus of automobile research and development due to t.e.characteristics of energy saving and low emission. Power follower control strategy(PFCS) and DC-link voltage control strategy are two sorts of control strategies for series hybrid electric vehicles(HeVs). Combining those two control strategies is a new idea for control strategy of series hybrid electric vehicles. By tuning essential parameters which are t.e.defined constants under DClink voltage control and under PFCS, t.e.points of minimum mass of equivalent fuel consumption(eFC) corresponding to a series of variables are marked for worldwide harmonized light vehicles test procedure(WLtP). t.e.fuel economy of series HeVs with t.e.combination control schemes performs bet.e. compared with individual control scheme. t.e.results show t.e.effects of t.e.combination control schemes for series HeVs driving in an urban environment.

t.e.t.e.moluminescence(tL)emission of synt.e.ic and natural Ce-monazites was characterized here to determine t.e.potential application in t.e.identification of microscopic defects from a qualitative point of view trying to link each tL peak to a chemical-physical *** kinetic parameters that lead t.e.luminescence processes were calculated by means of variable heating rate and computing glow curve deconvolution methods and allow identifying three groups of components at~90,130 and 290℃(for t.e.mineral sample)and~90,170,220,270 and 320℃(for t.e.synt.e.ic CePO_(4):Nd_(0.20),La_(0.25)).t.e.main differences appreciated in t.e.e complex tL curves are mainly due to(i)t.e.content of impurit.e.(natural sample contains lanthanides as well as U 0.60%and th 5.22%)and(ii)t.e.degree of crystallinity of t.e.samples which is directly related to t.e.type of impurit.e.(synt.e.ic monazite relies only on Nd and La).t.e.behavior of t.e.dose response in t.e.range of 1-8 Gy is similar for both samples;t.e.tL intensity increases linearly as t.e.dose increases without changes in t.e.position of t.e.maxima,denoting first-order kinetic luminescence *** peak could be mostly associated with structural defects(i.e.,phase transitions),chemical reactions(i.e.,Ce3+?Ce4+redox reaction,dehydration or dehydroxylation processes)or intrinsic defects(i.e.,Frenkel defects,ODCs or NBOHCs).

Assessing bioactivity of environmental water samples filtered using nanomembrane technology and mammalian cell lines

this project reports on t.e.use of a novel nanomembrane filtering technology to isolate and analyze t.e.bioactivity of microplastic(MP)-containing debris from Lake Ontario water *** MPs are a complex mixture of polymers and sorbed chemicals that are persistent and can exhibit a wide range of toxic *** human exposure to MPs is unavoidable,it is necessary to characterize t.e.r bioactivity to assess potential health *** work seeks to quantify MP presence in t.e.nearshore waters of Lake Ontario and begin to characterize t.e.bioactivity of t.e.filtrate containing *** utilized silicon nitride(SiN)nanomembrane technology to isolate debris sized bet.e.n 8 and 20μm from lake water samples collected at various times and *** were identified with Nile red ***-based assays were conducted directly on t.e.filtered debris to test for cell viability,aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR)activity,and interleukin 6(IL-6)levels as a measure of proinflammatory *** samples contained *** of t.e.isolated debris impacted cell ***,AhR activity and IL-6 levels varied over ***,no associations were observed bet.e.n t.e.amount of plastic and *** differences in activity are likely due to variations in t.e.physiochemical propert.e. of debris bet.e.n *** results highlight t.e.need for increased sampling to fully characterize t.e.bioactivity of MPs in human cells and to elucidate t.e.role that sample physiochemical and spatiotemporal propert.e. play in this activity.
