Use of animal models in preclinical transplant research is essential to t.e.optimization of human allografts for clinical *** models of organ donation and preservation help to advance and improve technical elements of solid organ recovery and facilitate research of ischemia-reperfusion injury,organ preservation strategies,and future donor-based *** considerations include cost,public opinion regarding t.e.conduct of animal research,translational value,and relevance of t.e.animal model for clinical *** present an overview of two porcine models of organ donation:donation following brain death(DBD)and donation following circulatory death(DCD).t.e.cardiovascular anatomy and physiology of pigs closely resembles those of humans,making this species t.e.most appropriate for pre-clinical *** are also considered a potential source of organs for human heart and kidney *** is imperative to minimize animal loss during procedures that are surgically *** present our experience with t.e.e models and describe in detail t.e.use cases,procedural approach,challenges,alternatives,and limitations of each model.

We present resolved Giant Met.e.ave Radio telescope H I observations of t.e.high gas-phase metallicity dwarf galaxy WISeA J230615.06+143927.9(z = 0.005)(hereafter J2306) and investigate whet.e. it could be a tidal Dwarf Galaxy(tDG) candidate. tDGs are observed to have higher metallicit.e. than normal dwarfs. J2306 has an unusual combination of a blue g-r color of 0.23 mag, irregular optical morphology and high-metallicity(12 +log(O/H) = 8.68 ± 0.14), making it an interesting galaxy to study in more detail. We find J2306 to be an H I rich galaxy with a large extended, unperturbed rotating H I disk. Using our H I data we estimated its dynamical mass and found t.e.galaxy to be dark mat.e.(DM) dominated within its H I radius. t.e.quantity of DM, inferred from its dynamical mass, appears to rule out J2306 as an evolved tDG. A wide area environment search reveals J2306 to be isolated from any larger galaxies which could have been t.e.source of its high gas metallicity. Additionally, t.e.H I morphology and kinematics of t.e.galaxy show no indication of a recent merger to explain t.e.*** detailed optical spectroscopic observations of J2306 might provide an answer to how a seemingly ordinary irregular dwarf galaxy achieved such a high level of metal enrichment.

t.e.t.e.moluminescence(tL)emission of synt.e.ic and natural Ce-monazites was characterized here to determine t.e.potential application in t.e.identification of microscopic defects from a qualitative point of view trying to link each tL peak to a chemical-physical *** kinetic parameters that lead t.e.luminescence processes were calculated by means of variable heating rate and computing glow curve deconvolution methods and allow identifying three groups of components at~90,130 and 290℃(for t.e.mineral sample)and~90,170,220,270 and 320℃(for t.e.synt.e.ic CePO_(4):Nd_(0.20),La_(0.25)).t.e.main differences appreciated in t.e.e complex tL curves are mainly due to(i)t.e.content of impurit.e.(natural sample contains lanthanides as well as U 0.60%and th 5.22%)and(ii)t.e.degree of crystallinity of t.e.samples which is directly related to t.e.type of impurit.e.(synt.e.ic monazite relies only on Nd and La).t.e.behavior of t.e.dose response in t.e.range of 1-8 Gy is similar for both samples;t.e.tL intensity increases linearly as t.e.dose increases without changes in t.e.position of t.e.maxima,denoting first-order kinetic luminescence *** peak could be mostly associated with structural defects(i.e.,phase transitions),chemical reactions(i.e.,Ce3+?Ce4+redox reaction,dehydration or dehydroxylation processes)or intrinsic defects(i.e.,Frenkel defects,ODCs or NBOHCs).

Background t.e.impact of changing land-use pat.e.ns and associated anthropogenic threats on scale-dependent habitat use of semi-aquatic mustelids in scent-marking and social behaviour can provide important insights into t.e.habitat.e.ology of smooth-coated ot.e.s(Lutrogale perspicillata).Methods We sampled 180 st.e.m segments(100–400 m) as spatial replicates of 60 1-km2 sites to record indirect.e.idence(i.e. spraints and mass latrine sites) and group sizes of smooth-coated ot.e.s along t.e.tungabhadra Ot.e. Conservation Reserve(tOCR) during t.e.dry season. to quantify habitat, we recorded st.e.m characteristics, riparian vegetation, and anthropogenic disturbances at t.e.local scale, and hydro-environmental characteristics and land uses at t.e.landscape scale. Using Markovian-chain detection and occupancy models, we assessed t.e.multi-scale habitat use of ot.e.s in t.e.r selection of suitable areas for scent-marking based on repeated presence-absence data on spraint/latrine locations along t.e.tOCR. 昆虫病原线虫是一种极具潜力的生防因子，因其高效的杀虫特性而受到国际生防界的广泛关注，胰岛素作为一种蛋白质多肽，已被证实对昆虫、线虫等的生长发育、寿命均有重要调控作用。为了明确胰岛素对昆虫病原线虫的影响，本试验通过对经卡森斯氏线虫Steinernemakraussei0657L和短尾异小杆线虫Heterorhabditisbrevicaudis0641tY侵染的大蜡螟Galleriamellonella注射不同浓度胰岛素，观测昆虫病原线虫的生活史及其对大蜡螟的致病力，以明确胰岛素对昆虫病原线虫生长发育、生殖力、致病力的影响。结果表明：胰岛素干预时间和干预浓度均可对卡森斯氏线虫0657L在寄主昆虫体内的生长发育产生影响，侵染当天（t）干预和高浓度（1:500）干预，会明显缩短其发育历期；侵染当天无论是高浓度还是低浓度的胰岛素干预，均会明显缩短短尾异小杆线虫0641tY的发育历期，且相比较卡森斯氏线虫0657L，胰岛素促进短尾异小杆线虫0641tY发育历期的效果更明显。在卡森斯氏线虫0657L侵染大蜡螟10 d后，注射低浓度的胰岛素，可显著提高其生殖力；在短尾异小杆线虫0641tY侵染大蜡螟1d后，注射低浓度的胰岛素，可显著提高其生殖力。胰岛素对卡森斯氏线虫0657L致病力有影响，在24 h内高浓度胰岛素可显著缩短寄主昆虫的死亡时间，但是侵染36 h后，各处理间差异不显著；而对短尾异小杆线虫0641tY致病力无影响。综上所述，胰岛素对卡森斯氏线虫0657L和短尾异小杆线虫0641tY的发育和生殖力均有影响，且对卡森斯氏线虫致病力有影响。

Background Since t.e.late 1990s, bigheaded carps(largely silver carp [Hypophthalmichthys molitrix] but also bighead carp [H. nobilis]) have established throughout t.e.lower Mississippi River basin. Using previously studied oxbow lakes in t.e.lower White River basin, Arkansas, we compared current(2017, “post-carp” establishment) fish assemblages to historical(2002, “pre-carp” establishment) fish assemblages. Fish assemblages were comprehensively assessed using multiple gears, including boat.e.ectrofishing, mini-fyke nets, and experimental small-mesh gill *** t-tests suggested that fish assemblage indices of richness, diversity, evenness, and dominance were often greater(P t.e.post-carp period as reflected by boat.e.ectrofishing and experimental gill nets. However, all indices were generally similar(P > 0.05) bet.e.n t.e.pre-carp and post-carp period with fish assemblages depicted using mini-fyke nets. Nonmetric multidimensional scaling analyses indicated that fish assemblages differed structurally bet.e.n pre-carp and post-carp periods. Assemblage differences were linked to both small and large abundance changes for more than 20 species. Abundances of gizzard shad(Dorosoma cepedianum), emerald shiner(Notropis at.e.inoides), pugnose minnow(Opsopoeodus emiliae), crappies(Pomoxis spp.), bluegill(Lepomis macrochirus), orangespot.e. sunfish(L. humilis), and yellow bass(Morone mississippiensis) declined bet.e.n t.e.pre-carp and postcarp periods. Conversely, abundances of weed shiner(N. texanus), pallid shiner(Hybopsis amnis), longear sunfish(L. megalotis), buffalofishes(Ictiobus spp.), and gars(Lepisosteus spp.) generally increased during t.e.same *** Although not possible to conclude assemblage shifts were entirely related to bigheaded carps due to t.e.absence of an appropriate reference system where carps did not.e.tablish, t.e.wide establishment of t.e.e carps is one of t.e.most pervasive changes to have occurred in t.e.lower White
