the purpose of this article is to characterize symplectic and Hamiltonian circle actions on symplectic manifolds in terms of symplectic embeddings of Riemann *** precisely, it is shown that(1) if(M, ω) admits a Hamiltonian S^1-action, then there exists a two-sphere S in M with positive symplectic area satisfying c1(M, ω), [S] > 0,and(2) if the action is non-Hamiltonian, then there exists an S^1-invariant symplectic2-torus t in(M, ω) such that c1(M, ω), [t] = 0. As applications, the authors give a very simple proof of the following well-known theorem which was proved by Atiyah-Bott,Lupton-Oprea, and Ono: Suppose that(M, ω) is a smooth closed symplectic manifold satisfying c1(M, ω) = λ· [ω] for some λ∈ R and G is a compact connected Lie group acting effectively on M preserving ω. then(1) if λ then G must be trivial,(2) if λ = 0, then the G-action is non-Hamiltonian, and(3) if λ > 0, then the G-action is Hamiltonian.

In this study,we prepared GdZn_(2)by mechanical alloying method and measured its magnetization to reveal the magnetic and magnetocaloric *** a milling time(Mt)≥10 and 20 h,the GdZn_(2)phase was confirmed by X-ray diffraction *** Mt=40 and 60 h,amorphous like patterns are *** Mt=10 and 20 h,magnetization(M)as a function of temperature below 80 K shows ferromagnetic-like *** observed values of M are 4.5μ_(B) at 5 K for Mt=10 and 20 h,which is smaller than that of the theoretical expected value of 7μ_(B).For Mt=40 and 60 h,the long-range ferromagnetic order collapses because there is no spontaneous *** value ofΔt,whereΔt is the full width at half maximum of the magnetic entropy change(ΔS_(m)(t)),increases significantly for Mt≤20 h because of the gradual release of magnetic entropy by the milling *** M decreases with increasing Mt,the maximum values of|ΔS_(m)|,the relative cooling power,and the refrigerant capacity also decreases.

Li-S batteries have attracted considerable interest as nextgeneration energy storage devices owing to high energy density and the natural abundance of ***,the practical applications of Li-S batteries are hampered by the shuttle effect of soluble lithium polysulfides(LPS),which results in low cycle ***,a functional interlayer has been developed to efficiently regulate the LPS and enhance the sulfur utilization using hierarchical nanostructure of C3 N4(t-C3 N4)embedded with Fe304 nanospheres.t-C3 N4 exhibits high surface area and strong anchoring of LPS,and the Fe3 O4/t-C3 N4 accelerates the anchoring of LPS and improves the electronic *** combination of these materials leads to remarkable battery performance with 400%improvement in a specific capacity and a low capacity decay per cycle of 0.02%at 2 C over 1000 cycles,and stable cycling at 6.4 mg cm-2 for high-sulfur-loading cathode.

BACKGROUND transverse myelitis(tM)is characterized by sudden lower extremity progressive weakness and sensory impairment,and most patients have a history of advanced viral infection symptoms.A variety of disorders can cause tM in association with viral or nonviral infection,vascular,neoplasia,collagen vascular,and iatrogenic,such as *** has become common through the global implementation against coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and reported complications like herpes zoster(HZ)activation has *** SUMMARY this is a 68-year-old woman who developed multiple pustules and scabs at the t6-t9 dermatome site 1 wk after vaccination with the COVID-19 vaccine(Oxford/AstraZeneca([ChAdOx1S{recombinant}]).the patient had a paraplegia aggravation 3 wk after HZ symptoms *** magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)showed transverse myelitis at the t6–t9 *** was acyclovir with steroids combined with physical *** neurological function was slowly restored by Day *** HZ developed after COVID-19 vaccination,which may lead to more severe ***,HZ treatment itself should not be *** neurological complications worsen after appropriate management,an immediate diagnostic procedure,such as magnetic resonance imaging and laboratory tests,will start and should treat the neurological complications.

the large size of the crystallites in poly（L-lactide） and the low growth rate enable detailed time- and temperaturedependent X-ray scattering studies of the ordering processes to be carded out. A layer located intermediate between crystals and melt-like regions is observed which finally takes on crystalline order. Recrystallization processes during heating change the complete stack structure rather than the crystallites individually and produce voids in the stacks, Establishment of a new stable structure after a temperature jump in the melting range can be followed in time. DSC experiments indicate times of melting of the order of minutes.

AIM: to examine the protective effect of green tea extract (Gt) on hepatic fi brosis in vitro and in vivo in dimethylnitrosamine (DMN)-induced ***: HSC-t6, a rat hepatic stellate cell line, was used as an in vitro assay system. Cell proliferation, collagen content, and type 1 collagen expression were examined in activated HSC-t6 cells. Collagen was determined by estimating the hydroxyproline content. In rats with DMN-induced hepatic fi brosis, serum aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase concentrations, liver hydroxyproline and lipid peroxides were determined. Pathologic changes were examined by hematoxylin & eosin ***: Gt administration prevented the development of hepatic fibrosis in the rat model of DMN-induced liver fi brosis. these results were confi rmed both by liver histology and by quantitative measurement of hepatic hydroxyproline content, a marker of liver collagen deposition. Accordingly, inhibition of proliferation, reduced collagen deposition, and type 1 collagen expression were observed in activated HSC-t6 cells following Gt treatment. these results imply that Gt reduced the proliferation of activated HSC and down regulated the collagen content and expression of collagen type 1, thereby ameliorating hepatic ***: this study demonstrates that greentea administration can effectively improve liver fibrosis caused by DMN, and may be used as a therapeutic option and preventive measure against hepatic f ibrosis.

We demonstrate a silicon electronic–photonic integrated 25 Gb/s nonreturn-to-zero transmitter that includes driver circuits,depletion-type Si ring modulator,Ge photodetector,temperature sensor,on-chip heater,and temperature controller,all monolithically integrated on a 0.25μm photonic BiCMOS technology *** integrated transmitter successfully provides stable and optimal 25 Gb/s modulation characteristics against external temperature fluctuation.

to evaluate the influence of Ni substitution on electrical transport properties, the thermoelectric transport properties of the p-type skutterudites RyFe3NiSb12 （R = Ba, Nd and Yb） are systematically investigated from 2.5 K to 800 K. By carefully modifying the filling fractions of the three fillers, Ba, Nd and Yb, the carrier concentration is precisely adjusted, which changes proportionally to the nominal value calculated by valence counting rule. the carrier concentration dependences of mobility and Seebeck coefficient represent two band contribution in the valence band, and the optimized carrier concentration for thermoelectric performance is between （5-9） × 10^20 cm^-3. the lattice thermal conductivity of samples filled with rare-earth elements （Nd and Yb） are significantly lower as compared to Ba-filled, due to the lower resonant frequency and partial filling. Compared with Co substitution, Ni substitution tends to close the band gap, which results in heavier bipolar diffusion at high temperature for RyFe3NiSb12. However, due to state, when the carrier concentrations are similar, RyFe3NiSb12 possess higher thermal power and thus higher power factor than RyFe2Co2Sb12 in the lower temperature range. A Zt value of 0.73 is obtained for Yb0.77Fe3NiSb12 at 660 K.
