Dislocation density-me diate d creep ageing behavior of an Al-Cu-Li alloy

Creep aging is well-known to be a time-dependent,coupled process of deformation and precipitation strengthening for age-hardening *** existing mechanisms are mainly attributed to those interac-tions between atomic diffusion and dislocation ***,an understanding of the relationship between dislocation density and a special multistage creep behavior,i.e.,double steady creep feature,is still far *** we investigate the effect of various dislocation density levels on such an abnormal multistage creep of an Al-Cu-Li *** find that the increased dislocation densities enable an apparent time decrease(from 6.2 h to 0.8 h)of their first steadyⅡ-*** yield strength of post-aged sam-ples increases from 425.0 MPa to 580.0 MPa while the corresponding elongation decreases from 12.3%to 7.3%for the creep-aged samples#1 to#*** results also reveal that a great difference in dislocation configuration,tailored by various density levels,results in varying creep processes of theⅡ-*** stage is closely related to the nucleation and early growth of t_(1)*** number densities(maximum:2.9×10^(19)m^(-3))and the average length(maximum:21.3 nm)of t_(1)precipitates are much smaller than those of the stable peak-aged t_(1)phases,suggesting that creepⅡ-stage of all three creep-aged samples is dominant by the nucleation and initial growth of those t_(1)*** study provides valuable insights into the dislocation density-mediated creep deformation of an Al-Cu-Li alloy.

Digital twin is currently undergoing a significant transformation from the conceptual and theoretical research phase to the implementation and application ***,a universally adaptable research and development platform for digital twin is critically needed to meet the development ***,a publicly accessible simulation,testing,and validation platform which can support digital twin model building,data processing,algorithm design,configuration,etc.,is urgently required for ***,for developers from the industry,a lowcode development platform that can offer a customizable suite of functions such as model creation,data management,protocol configuration,and visualization is urgently ***,for enterprise users,there is a lack of an application management platform that can be configured and migrated for various application scenarios,functions,and ***,based on the system research of digital twin theories and key technologies by the authors(such as the five-dimension digital twin model,digital twin modeling and digital twin data theory,digital twin standards,and so on),a digital twin software platform reference architecture,namely make twin,is proposed and designed,as well as its ten core *** workflow of the make twin and the interaction mechanisms among its core functions are ***,a digital twin application system for a chemical fiber textile shop floor(CFtS)which was developed according to make twin,is introduced,which validates the proposed reference architecture.

Dynamic COVID Zero Strategy triggered a significant increase of chlorine-based disinfectant

Chlorine-based disinfectants(CBDs)have been widely used to prevent and control the spread of the COVID-19,which may lead to the formation of carcinogenic *** China,strict disinfection strategies by local governments/communities or volunteering by residents have been implemented to meet the Dynamic COVID Zero(DCZ)***,the amount of CBDs used has not been *** author proposed an urban-scale disinfectant consumption estimation(ALICE)model to quantify weekly CBD *** results show that the CBD consumption for the urban region of Beijing during the DCZ strategy was 3704.0 t(0.43 kg/(cap-yr)),equivalent to a monthly increase of 15 g/cap(70.5%)in CBD consumption compared with that in *** to the scenario analysis,a stricter strategy with a shorter response time toward new cases will decrease the total CBD consumption by 1.2% compared with the baseline estimation.A more precise prevention strategy with a smaller delineation of risk area and a less stringent strategy with a longer response time will lower the total CBD consumption by 0.42% and 0.35%,***,the more precise prevention strategy will reduce CBD consumption of close off and lockdown area(COLD area)by 16.9%,and the stricter strategy will reduce this consumption by 37.7%.this study highlights the impact of pandemic prevention and control strategies on chlorine-based disinfectant consumption and some implications for future environmental pollution and risk assessments.

Kinetic scale magnetic holes in the terrestrial magnetosheath:A review

Magnetic holes at the ion-to-electron kinetic scale(KSMHs)are one of the extremely small intermittent structures generated in turbulent magnetized *** recent years,the explorations of KSMHs have made substantial strides,driven by the ultra-high-precision observational data gathered from the Magnetospheric Multiscale(MMS)*** review paper summarizes the up-to-date characteristics of the KSMHs observed in Earth’s turbulent magnetosheath,as well as their potential impacts on space *** review starts by introducing the fundamental properties of the KSMHs,including observational features,particle behaviors,scales,geometries,and distributions in terrestrial *** have discovered that KSMHs display a quasi-circular electron vortex-like structure attributed to electron diamagnetic *** electrons exhibit noticeable non-gyrotropy and undergo *** occurrence rate of KSMH in the Earth’s magnetosheath is significantly greater than in the solar wind and magnetotail,suggesting the turbulent magnetosheath is a primary source ***,KSMHs have also been generated in turbulence simulations and successfully reproduced by the kinetic equilibrium ***,KSMHs have demonstrated their ability to accelerate electrons by a novel non-adiabatic electron acceleration mechanism,serve as an additional avenue for energy dissipation during magnetic reconnection,and generate diverse wave phenomena,including whistler waves,electrostatic solitary waves,and electron cyclotron waves in space *** results highlight the magnetic hole’s impact such as wave-particle interaction,energy cascade/dissipation,and particle acceleration/heating in space *** end this paper by summarizing these discoveries,discussing the generation mechanism,similar structures,and observations in the Earth’s magnetotail and solar wind,and presenting a future extension perspective in this active field.

Performance Assessment and Improvement of Photovoltaic-thermal System based on Energy,Exergy,Economic and Environment Analysis

A photovoltaic thermal（PV/t） system with parallel cooling channels was designed in this work to decrease the PV panel temperature and improve its photoelectric conversion efficiency.A 4E analysis method（includes energy,exergy,economic,and environmental aspects） was formulated to comprehensively evaluate the performances of the PV/t system,combining experimental and simulation ***,the experiment was performed using water as the cooling *** show that the PV/t system can reduce daily CO2emissions by 1682.47-1705.98 g,and compared to the PV system,the added cooling module can increase electrical efficiency and environmental performance by 12.19% and 6.2%,*** the mass flow of water rose from 0.017 kg/s to 0.023 kg/s,the electrical,thermal,and overall efficiencies were improved by 3.82%,11.36%,and 8.27%,***,a numerical simulation model was constructed based on the experimental results to predict operations of the presented PV/t system using nanofluids as the cooling medium,including Ag,Al2O3,and *** results show that the Al2O3-nanofluid-based PV/t system has a higher application value,enabling an electrical efficiency of up to 15.13%.Its thermal efficiency can be enhanced by5.43% when the volume fraction of Al2O3increases from 1% to 5%.

Effects of orientation on the fatigue crack growth behaviors of the ZK60 magnesium alloy in air and PBS

Strong anisotropic corrosion and mechanical properties caused by specimen orientations greatly limit the applications of wrought magnesium *** investigate the influences of specimen orientation,the corrosion tests and(corrosion)fatigue crack growth tests were *** rolled and transverse surfaces of the materials show distinct corrosion rate differences in the stable corrosion stage,but the truth is the opposite for the initial stage of *** air,specimen orientations have a significant influence on the plastic deformation mechanisms near the crack tip,which results in different fatigue fracture surfaces and cracking *** with R-t specimens,N-t specimens show a slower fatigue crack growth(FCG)rate in air,which can be attributed to crack closure effects and deformation twinning near the crack *** corrosion environment will not significantly change the main plastic deformation mechanisms for the same type of ***,the FCG rate in phosphate buffer saline(PBS)is one order of magnitude higher than that in air,which is caused by the combined effects of hydrogen-induced cracking and anodic *** to the similar corrosion rates at crack tips,the specimens with different orientations display close FCG rates in PBS.

Experimental Study on Consolidation Properties of Hydrate-Bearing Fine-Grained Sediments Collected from the Shenhu Area of the Northern South China Sea

Mechanical properties of hydrate-bearing fine-grained sediments are crucial to effectively mitigate environmental risks caused by artificial and natural decomposition of natural gas hydrates,and the decomposition can induce laterally confined *** explore the effect of natural gas hydrates on laterally confined compression properties,consolidation tests are conducted on remolded hydrate-free and hydrate-bearing samples by using natural fine-grained sediments collected from the northern South China Sea as the host sediments,and empirical equations are developed based on the analyses of consolidation *** results show that vertical loading induces a reduction in void ratio,and the reduction increases with decreasing hydrate saturation when samples are subjected to the same vertical stress *** compression index of samples is about 0.53 whether there is hydrate or not,but the yield stress of samples increases sharply with increasing hydrate saturation once beyond the critical *** coefficient of volume compression and the coefficient of consolidation of hydrate-bearing samples both increase firstly and then decrease to a relative stable level with increasing vertical stress,and the transition occurs at 200 *** average consolidation degree with elapsed time increases rapidly under low vertical stresses,slowly under median vertical stresses,and under high vertical stresses,the consolidation increases a little faster but still slower than those under low vertical stresses.

With the increasing demand for homoallylic silanes and allylic silanes,the highly efficient and regioselective hydrosilylations of conjugated dienes are urgently ***,we developed a Ni-catalyzed regiodivergent hydrosilylation of aromatic conjugated dienes by adjusting the temperature and *** low temperature(-30℃),an eternal-ligand-free system(Ni/t-BuOk)can efficiently facilitate the 3,4-anti-Markovnikov hydrosilylation to provide homoallylic silanes via electrophilic activation process;under room temperature(25℃),a ligand-controlled system(Ni/t-BuOk/PPh3)can eventuate the 3,4-Markovnikov hydrosilylation to produce allylic silanes via Chalk-Harrod *** systems are compatible with various conjugated dienes and primary silanes in excellent yields andregioselectivities.
