the insensitivity of semiconductors to visible and infrared light is a key constraint on the utilization of light energy in photocatalytic *** photocatalysts with full-spectrum absorption through surface engineering is an effective approach to fully harnessing light energy in semiconductor ***,a novel stable ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x)MXene/CdS heterojunction catalyst is obtained by in-situ epitaxial growth of two-dimensional(2D)CdS nanosheets on 2D MXene interface via a solvothermal *** exceptional light absorption properties of MXene confer outstanding full-spectrum driven photocat-alytic hydrogen evolution capability upon the heterogeneous *** unique 2D/2D structure effectively mitigated the recombination of photogenerated carriers,enhancing the photocatalytic performance of the ***,the composite catalyst exhibits a significantly higher surface temperature of 80.4℃under visible light irradiation at an intensity of 0.1 W/cm^(2),which is 1.84 times higher than that of *** irradiation of visible and near infrared light,the composite catalyst with photothermal ef-fect demonstrates a remarkable hydrogen evolution rate of 65.4 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1),which is 7.2 times higher than that of CdS *** study introduces a novel approach for constructing full-spectrum absorption catalysts and expands the application of the photothermal effect in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution research.

A mathematical model coupling the momentum, energy and species conservation equa-tions was proposed to calculate the macro--segregation of Fe--C alloy ingot during solid-ification. the corresponding simulation software which concurrently solves the macro-scopic mass, momentum, energy and species conservation equations has been developedby applying the SIMPLE algorithm.the thermo--solutal convection in a NH_4 Cl--H_2O ingot is verified and the result showsgood agreement with that reported. then macro--segregation in a steel ingot is simu-lated by using the developed program. the steel ingot is in a rectangular mold with ariser. the fluid flow is mainly induced by the temperature field and the solid fraction.the macro--segregation pattern is mainly affected by the thermo--induced convectionin the mushy zone. the negative segregation forms along the walls of the casting.the positive segregation forms at the top center of the casting into the riser. thespecies concentration reaches the peak in the center of the ingot where solidificationends lastly.

Following our earlier work on tomographic reconstruction of the magnetosheath soft X-ray emissions with superposed epoch analysis of many images recorded from a single spacecraft we now explore the instantaneous reconstruction of the magnetosheath and magnetopause using a few images recorded simultaneously from a few *** work is motivated by the prospect of possibly having two or three soft X-ray imagers in space in the coming years,and that many phenomena which occur at the magnetopause boundary,such as reconnection events and pressure pulse responses,do not lend themselves as well to superposed epoch *** the reconstruction is successful-which we demonstrate in this paper that it can be-this collection of imagers can be used to reconstruct the magnetosheath and magnetopause from a single image from each spacecraft,allowing for high time resolution *** this paper we explore the reconstruction using,two,three,and four *** show that the location of the subsolar point of the magnetopause can be determined with just two satellites,and that volume emissions of soft X-rays,and the shape of the boundary,can be reconstructed using three or more satellites.

Microstructure and Internal Friction Behavior of Laser 3D Printed Fe-Based Amorphous Composites

Laser 3D printing,also known as laser additive manufacturing(LAM),is favored for its ability to form bulk metallic glass(BMG)and its composite materials(BMGcs)with freeform *** this work,two different kinds of Fe_(41)Co_(7)Cr_(15)Mo_(14)C_(15)B_(6)y_(2)amorphous coatings(A and B)were prepared by using LAM technology under air-and water-cooled conditions,respectively;meanwhile,to reduce the cracks generated due to the residual thermal stresses,coating C obtained by air-sweep annealing of B with a low energy-density *** morphology and amorphous content and microstructure of the coatings were investigated,the results show many cracks in coating B deposited under water-cooled conditions,and its microstructure shows an amorphous-crystal-nanocrystalline mixed *** was suppressed in coating C,obtained by air-sweep annealing based on coating B,but the amorphous content was reduced from 32.6 to 13.4%.And the hardness and corrosion resistance of the coating will increase with the increase in the amorphous ***,the internal friction behavior of a BMGcs was prepared on the basis of the process of sample C is compared with that of as-cast amorphous *** results show that the low temperature internal friction behavior of BMGcs is affected by the defects produced during printing,and the high temperature internal friction behavior is affected by the precipitated hard phase.

the effect of evolutionary history on wood density variation may play an important role in shaping variation in wood density,but this has largely not been *** a comprehensive global dataset including 27,297 measurements of wood density from 2621 tree species worldwide,we test the hypothesis that the legacy of evolutionary history plays an important role in driving the variation of wood density among tree *** assessed phylogenetic signal in different taxonomic(e.g.,angiosperms and gymnosperms)and ecological(e.g.,tropical,temperate,and boreal)groups of tree species,explored the biogeographical and phylogenetic patterns of wood density,and quantified the relative importance of current environmental factors(e.g.,climatic and soil variables)and evolutionary history(i.e.,phylogenetic relatedness among species and lineages)in driving global wood density *** found that wood density displayed a significant phylogenetic *** density differed among different biomes and climatic zones,with higher mean values of wood density in relatively drier regions(highest in subtropical desert).Our study revealed that at a global scale,for angiosperms and gymnosperms combined,phylogeny and species(representing the variance explained by taxonomy and not direct explained by long-term evolution process)explained 84.3%and 7.7%of total wood density variation,respectively,whereas current environment explained 2.7%of total wood density variation when phylogeny and species were taken into *** angiosperms and gymnosperms were considered separately,the three proportions of explained variation are,respectively,84.2%,7.5%and 6.7%for angiosperms,and 45.7%,21.3%and 18.6%for *** study shows that evolutionary history outpaced current environmental factors in shaping global variation in wood density.

the application of deep learning is fast developing in climate prediction,in which El Ni?o–Southern Oscillation(ENSO),as the most dominant disaster-causing climate event,is a key *** studies have shown that deep learning methods possess a certain level of superiority in predicting ENSO *** present study develops a deep learning model for predicting the spatial pattern of sea surface temperature anomalies(SStAs)in the equatorial Pacific by training a convolutional neural network(CNN)model with historical simulations from CMIP6 *** with dynamical models,the CNN model has higher skill in predicting the SStAs in the equatorial western-central Pacific,but not in the eastern *** CNN model can successfully capture the small-scale precursors in the initial SStAs for the development of central Pacific ENSO to distinguish the spatial mode up to a lead time of seven months.A fusion model combining the predictions of the CNN model and the dynamical models achieves higher skill than each of them for both central and eastern Pacific ENSO.

Discovery potential of the Glashow resonance in an air shower neutrino telescope

the in-ice or in-water Cherenkov neutrino telescope,such as IceCube,has already proved its power in measuring the Glashow resonance by searching for the bump around E_(ν)=6.3PeV arising from the W-boson *** are many proposals for the next few decades for observations of cosmic tau neutrinos with extensive air showers,also known as tau neutrino *** air shower telescope is,in principle,sensitive to the Glashow resonance via the channel W→τν_(τ)followed by the tau decay in the air(e.g.,tAMBO,which has a geometric area of approximately 500km^(2)).Using a thorough numerical analysis,we find that the discovery significance can be up to 90%with a tAMBO-like setup if PeV neutrinos primarily originate from neutron decays,considering the flux parameters measured by IceCube as the *** presence of new physics affecting the neutrino flavor composition can also increase the ***,if ultrahigh-energy neutrinos are dominantly produced from meson decays,it will be statistically difficult for an advanced proposal such as tAMBO to discriminate the Glashow resonance induced byν¯e from the intrinsicντ/ν¯_(τ)*** have identified several limitations for such advanced telescopes,in comparison with the in-ice or in-water telescope,when measuring resonances:(i)a suppressed branching ratio of 11%for the decay W→τν_(τ);(ii)the smearing effect and reduced acceptance because the daughter neutrino takes away(y)∼75%of the energy from the W decay;and(iii)a large attenuation effect for Earth-skimming neutrinos with the resonance.

Let G be a finite group generated by S and C(G,S) the Cayley digraphs of G with connection set *** this paper,we give some sufficient conditions for the existence of hamiltonian circuit in C(G,S),where G=Zm×H is a semiproduct of Zmby a subgroup H of *** particular,if m is a prime,then the Cayley digraph of G has a hamiltonian circuit unless G=Zm×*** addition,we introduce a new digraph operation,called φ-semiproduct of Γ1by Γ2and denoted by Γ1×Γ_φΓ2,in terms of mapping φ:V(Γ2)→{1,-1}.Furthermore we prove that C(Zm,{a})×_φ C(H,S) is also a Cayley digraph if φ is a homomorphism from H to{1,-1} ≤ Zm~*,which produces some classes of Cayley digraphs that have hamiltonian circuits.
