Skin colour is an important criterion in determining the aesthetic appeal of ornamental fishes,and thus their market *** the pigment enhancement in ornamental fishes has been the subject of extensive research by using various synthetic as well as natural pigment *** composition is one of the most important elements that influence the development of pigmentation in *** study is an attempt to assess the possibility of using carotenogenic marine yeast as pigment enhancer in fish diet for Koi carp,Cyprinus *** 60 days feeding experiment was done by using feed incorporated with mangrove associated marine yeast Rhodotorula paludigena *** pigmentation in the scales of fishes fed with experimental feed was observed than that fed with the control diet(normal pellet feed).Furthermore the improved growth rate and general wellbeing in fishes fed with experimental feed provides scope for further studies in this field with respect to the growth and survival of fishes.

Introduction:Nonmetric dental traits have a crucial role in ethnic classification of populations that help in forensic racial *** studies have demonstrated the differences in the expression and frequency of dental traits between various ethnic groups for ancestry determination in the context of forensic dental *** present study is an attempt to assess the frequency and variation in nonmetric traits for establishing ethnicity in the Vidarbha ***:the aim of the study was to assess the frequency and variation of nonmetric traits in permanent teeth for establishing ethnicity in the Vidarbha *** and Methods:Participants of the Vidarbha subpopulation were selected by random sampling ***,premolars,and incisors were evaluated for frequency of nonmetric traits,and variations were graded according to Dentoanthropological System of State University of Arizona *** statistics,Chi-square test,and Student’s t-test were used for analysis of ***:the most common occlusal morphology in mandibular first and second molar was 5 cusp and 4 cusp,respectively,with the“+”groove *** 3 and cusp 4 were observed frequently in the maxillary *** lingual cusp was most commonly seen in mandibular premolars show while incisors showed faint ***:Our study concludes that nonmetric traits were present and showed variation in permanent maxillary and mandibular teeth among the Vidarbha *** 5 and Cusp 4 in first and second mandibular molars,respectively,groove pattern“+”and grade 1 protostylid were the most frequent grades observed in permanent mandibular *** lingual cusp was most commonly seen in mandibular premolars and faint shoveling was a notable feature in incisors of this population.

Excess molar volumes Vm^E and kinematic viscosities v have been measured as a function of composition for binary mixtures of propylene glycol monomethyl ether （1-methoxy-2-propanol）, MeOCH2CH（OH）Me, propylene glycol monoethyl ether （1-ethoxy-2-propanol）, EtOCH2CH（OH）Me, propylene glycol monopropyl ether （1-propoxy-2-propanol）, PrOCH2CH（OH）Me, propylene glycol monobutyl ether （1-butoxy-2-propanol）, BuOCH2CH（OH）Me, and propylene glycol tert-butyl ether （1-tert-butoxy-2-propanol）, t-BuOCH2CH（OH）Me with 1-butanol, and 2-butanol, at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. the excess molar volumes are negative across the entire range of composition for all the systems with 1-butanol, and positive for the systems 2-butanol＋ 1-methoxy-2-propanol, and ＋1-propoxy-2-propanol, negative for the systems 2-butanol＋1-butoxy-2-propanol, and change sign for the systems 2-butanol＋ 1-ethoxy-2-propanol, and ＋ 1-tert-butoxy-2-propanol. From the experimental data, the deviation in dynamic viscosity η from ∑χiηi has been calculated. Both excess molar volumes and viscosity deviations have been correlated using a Redlich-Kister type polynomial equation by the method of least-squares for the estimation of the binary coefficients and the standard errors.

因零膨胀材料在工程上的潜在应用,近10多年来,对材料的热膨胀特性得以深入了解。本文对ZrW2O8的负热膨胀现象的研究进展进行了简要回顾,并特别指出理解非简谐振动的重要性。讨论了ZrV2O7的声子特性和非简谐振动,其负热膨胀的高温相和具有正的热膨胀的低温相特征。此外,还比较了ZrV2O7和ZrW2O8的热膨胀特性。

A multiwavelength view of a classical t tauri star CV Cha

Using long-term optical, ultraviolet(UV) and X-ray data, we present a study of a classical t tauri star CV Cha. the V-band light curve obtained from the All Sky Automated Survey(ASAS) shows short as well as long-term variability. the short-term variability could be due to rotational modulation of CV Cha. We derive the rotational period of 3.714 ± 0.001 d for CV Cha. UV light curves obtained from Swift also show the variations. X-ray light curves from XMM-Newton and Swift do not show any significant short as well as long-term variability. However, the light curve from Chandra appears to be variable, which could be due to the emergence of flaring activities. X-ray spectra from all observations are explained well by the single temperature plasma of 0.95 keV with X-ray luminosity of 1030.4erg s-1in the 0.5–7.5 keV energy band. It appears that variability in optical and UV bands could be due to the presence of both hot and cool spots on the surface, while X-ray emission is dominated by magnetic processes.

Andrographolide inhibits chikungunya virus infection by up-regulating host innate immune pathways

Objective: to investigate the therapeutic efficacy of andrographolide, a plant derived compound, against chikungunya virus(CHIKV) infection. Methods: Using flow cytometry and immunoblotting assay, in vitro viral protein expression was studied in tHP-1 cells line. In Balb/c mouse neonates, viral RNA copy number was determined by real time PCR. Results:the results showed reduced CHIKV protein expression on andrographolide treatment in CHIKV-infected human peripheral blood mononuclear cells, Vero cells and tHP-I cell *** vivo, andrographolide treatment to CHIKV-infected neonates reduced viral RNA copy number. Further. andrographolide also increased cytotoxic t lymphocytes both in vitro and in vivo. Andrographolide also activated host innate immune pathways, viz., protein kinase *** eukaryotic initiation factor 2 α, retinoic acid inducible gene-Ⅰ and interferon regulatory factor 3/7, thereby increasing IFN-a secretion. CHIKV-induced nuclear factor κlight chain enhancer of activated B cells and tumor necrosis factor-a was also reduced on andrographolide treatment. Conclusion: Andrographolide inhibits CHIKV by suppressing viral protein expression and up-regulating host innate immunity and hence could be an effective therapeutic agent against CHIKV infection.

Mesenchymal stem cells(MsCs)play diverse roles ranging from regeneration and wound healing to immune *** investigations have indicated the crucial role of these multipotent stem cells in regulating various aspects of the immune *** express unique signaling molecules and secrete various soluble factors that play critical roles in modulating and shaping immune responses,and in some other cases,MSCs can also exert direct antimicrobial effects,thereby helping with the eradication of invading ***,it has been demonstrated that MSCs are recruited at the periphery of the granuloma containing Mycobacterium tuberculosis and exert"Janus"-like functions by harboring pathogens and mediating host protective immune *** leads to the establishment of a dynamic balance between the host and the *** function through various immunomodulatory factors such as nitric oxide(NO),IDO,and immunosuppressive ***,our group has shown that *** uses MSCs as a niche to evade host protective immune surveillance mechanisms and establish *** also express a large number of ABC efflux pumps;therefore,dormant *** residing in MSCs are exposed to a suboptimal dose of ***,it is highly likely that drug resistance is coupled with dormancy and originates within *** this review,we discussed various immunomodulatory properties of MsCs,their interactions with important immune cells,and soluble *** also discussed the possible roles of MsCs in the outcome of multiple infections and in shaping the immune system,which may provide insight into therapeutic approaches using these cells in different infection models.

Background: Neurocysticercosis (NCC) and central nervous system (CNS) tuberculomas often overlap in clinical presentation and imaging. though the aetio-pathology entirely differs in both the scenarios but there is great confusion in their clinico-radiological evaluation as the findings and appearances are similar in many ways. the stress should be laid out over the salient features of each entity in the background of their presentation. the study was conducted to highlight the differentiation of the clinico-radiological findings in both the entities. Material and Methods: ten patients between 5 - 15 years (mean age 10.4 years) with complaints of headache and with or without seizures had undergone MRI alone or with Ct examinations. Basic sequences of t1W, t2W, t2W FLAIR and t1W contrast studies were carried out in all the cases. Ct was carried out in only three cases and contrast was given in two cases. Results: Eight patients were having ring enhancing lesions in post contrast studies in MRI and two had only cystic lesions ranging from 1 - 3 cm in diameter. Conclusion: Seven cases having tuberculomas were confirmed by both the modalities with one case inconclusive. two cases were diagnosed as neurocysticercosis as per the results. the reasonable achievable target was the goal to differentiate between NCC and tuberculomas in the brain and it was achieved. Contrast MRI and spectroscopy brought out many findings for the distinct features in many cases.

the entrance region flow of a Herschel-Bulkley fluid in an annular cylinder has been investigated numerically without making prior assumptions on the form of velocity profile within the boundary layer region. this velocity distribution is determined as part of the procedure by cross sectional integration of the momentum differential equation for a given distance z from the channel entrance. Using the macroscopic mass and momentum balance equation, the entrance length at each cross section of the entrance region of the annuli and pressure distribution have been calculated for specific values of Herschel-Bulkley number and various values of aspect ratio and flow behavior index. the effects of non-Newtonian characteristics and channel width on the velocity profile, pressure distribution and the entrance length have been discussed.
