We study the multisubband electron mobility in a barrier delta doped AlχGal-χAs parabolic quantum well structure under the influence of an applied electric field perpendicular to the interface plane. We consider the alloy fraction χ = 0.3 for barriers and vary x from 0.0 to 0.1 for the parabolic well. Electrons diffuse into the well and confine within the triangular like potentials near the interfaces due to Coulomb interaction with ionized donors. the parabolic structure potential, being opposite in nature, partly compensates the Coulomb potential. the external electric field further amends the potential structure leading to an asymmetric potential profile. Accordingly the energy levels, wave functions and occupation of subbands change. We calculate low temperature electron mobility as a function of the electric field and show that when two subbands are occupied, the mobility is mostly dominated by ionised impurity scattering mediated by intersubband effects. As the field increases transition from double subband to single subband occupancy occurs. A sudden enhancement in mobility is obtained due to curtailment of intersubband effects. thereafter the mobility is governed by both impurity and alloy disorder scatterings. Our analysis of mobility as a function of the electric field for different structural parameters shows interesting results.

the development of the Internet of things(Iot) technology is leading to a new era of smart applications such as smart transportation,buildings,and smart ***,these applications act as the building blocks of Iot-enabled smart *** high volume and high velocity of data generated by various smart city applications are sent to flexible and efficient cloud computing resources for ***,there is a high computation latency due to the presence of a remote cloud *** computing,which brings the computation close to the data source is introduced to overcome this *** an Iot-enabled smart city environment,one of the main concerns is to consume the least amount of energy while executing tasks that satisfy the delay *** efficient resource allocation at the edge is helpful to address this *** this paper,an energy and delay minimization problem in a smart city environment is formulated as a bi-objective edge resource allocation ***,we presented a three-layer network architecture for Iot-enabled smart ***,we designed a learning automata-based edge resource allocation approach considering the three-layer network architecture to solve the said bi-objective minimization *** Automata(LA) is a reinforcement-based adaptive decision-maker that helps to find the best task and edge resource *** extensive set of simulations is performed to demonstrate the applicability and effectiveness of the LA-based approach in the Iot-enabled smart city environment.

the flow and heat transfer of an electrically conducting non-Newtonian second grade fluid due to a radially stretching surface with partial slip is considered. the partial slip is controlled by a dimensionless slip factor, which varies between zero （total adhesion） and infinity （full slip）. Suitable similarity transformations are used to reduce the resulting highly nonlinear partial differential equations into ordinary differential equations. the issue of paucity of boundary conditions is addressed and an effective numerical scheme is adopted to solve the obtained differential equations even without augmenting any extra boundary conditions. the important findings in this communication are the combined effects of the partial slip, magnetic interaction parameter and the second grade fluid parameter on the velocity and temperature fields. It is interesting to find that the slip increases the momentum and thermal boundary layer thickness. As the slip increases in magnitude, permitting more fluid to slip past the sheet, the skin friction coefficient decreases in magnitude and approaches zero for higher values of the slip parameter, i.e., the fluid behaves as though it were inviscid. the presence of a magnetic field has also substantial effects on velocity and temperature fields.

In the present study, Zn-doped CatiO_3 nanocrystalline was synthesized to study the thermistor behavior with temperature. the X-ray powder diffraction analysis showed the formation of a single-phase orthorhombic structure at room temperature. the electrical resistance of the Zn-doped CatiO_3 increased with increasing doping concentration and decreased at higher measuring temperature, showing a negative temperature coefficient of resistance(NtCR) behavior. Different thermistor parameters were calculated using Steinhart–Hart equations, whilst time domain analysis confirmed faster response towards applied voltage.

Drying characteristics in terms of diffusivity were studied for mushrooms and different vegetables in a fluidized bed dryer. Drying characteristics with falling rate regime were computed for all the sampi^z. Effective diffusivity of each sample was calculated. Mass transfer coefficients were determined. Mass transfer kinetics for drying of different samples was also found out. Correlations for the diffusivity of samples were developed by relating the experimentally observed data with the different system parame- ters on the basis of regression analysis. the developed correlations for effective moisture diffusivity of the samples are validated by artificial neural network （ANN） modeling. Finally calculated values of diffusivity obtained through both the methods are compared with the experimentally measured values which show a very good approximation thereby indicating the wide applicability of the developed correlations for industrial uses.
