this paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. the influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. to depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAm).the effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

AIm to assess nutritional recovery,particularly regarding feeding jejunostomy tube(FJt)utilization,following upper gastrointestinal resection for malignancy. mEtHODS A retrospective review was performed of a prospectively-maintained database of adult patients who underwent esophagectomy or gastrectomy(subtotal or total)for cancer with curative intent,from January 2001 to June 2014. Patient demographics,the approach to esophagectomy,the extent of gastrectomy,FJt placement and utilization at discharge,administration of parenteral nutrition(PN),and complications were evaluated. All patients were followed for at least ninety days or until *** the 287 patients underwent upper GI resection,comprised of 182 esophagectomy(n=107 transhiatal,58.7%; n=56 Ivor-Lewis,30.7%)and 105 gastrectomy [n=63 subtotal(SG),60.0%; n=42 total(tG),40.0%]. 181 of 182 esophagectomy patients underwent FJt,compared with 47 of 105 gastrectomy patients(99.5% vs 44.8%,P m most had undergone tG(n=39,92.9% vs n=8 SG,12.9%,P median length of stay was similar between esophagectomy and gastrectomy groups(14.7 d vs 17.1 d,P=0.076). Upon discharge,87 esophagectomy patients(48.1%)were taking enteral feeds,with 53(29.3%)fully and 34(18.8%)partially dependent. meanwhile,20 of 39 tG patients(51.3%)were either fully(n=3,7.7%)or partially(n=17,43.6%)dependent on tube feeds,compared with 5 of 8 SG patients(10.6%),all of whom were partially dependent. Gastrectomy patients were significantly less likely to be fully dependent on tube feeds at discharge compared to esophagectomy patients(6.4% vs 29.3%,P=0.0006). PN was administered despite FJt placement more often following gastrectomy than esophagectomy(n=11,23.4% vs n=7,3.9%,P=0.0001). FJt-specific complications requiring reoperation within 30 d of resection occurred more commonly in the gastrectomy group(n=6),all after tG,compared to 1 esophagectomy patient(12.8% vs 0.6%,P=0.0003). Optical pulses are fundamentally defined by their temporal and spectral *** ability to control pulse properties allows practitioners to efficiently leverage them for advanced metrology,high speed optical communications and attosecond ***,we report 11×temporal compression of 5.8 ps pulses to 0.55 ps using a low power of 13.3 *** result is accompanied by a significant increase in the pulse peak power by 9.4×.these results represent the strongest temporal compression demonstrated to date on a complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor(CmOS)*** addition,we report the first demonstration of on-chip spectral compression,3.0×spectral compression of 480 fs pulses,importantly while preserving the pulse *** strong compression achieved at low powers harnesses advanced on-chip device design,and the strong nonlinear properties of backend-CmOS compatible ultra-silicon-rich nitride,which possesses absence of two-photon absorption and 500×larger nonlinear parameter than in stoichiometric silicon nitride *** demonstrated work introduces an important new paradigm for spectro-temporal compression of optical pulses toward turn-key,on-chip integrated systems for all-optical pulse control.

the dynamic magnetic behavior of the kinetic metamagnetic spin-5/2 Blume-Capel model is examined, within a mean-field approach, under a time-dependent oscillating magnetic field. to describe the kinetics of the system, Glauber- type stochastic dynamics has been utilized. the mean-field dynamic equations of the model are obtained from the master equation. Firstly, these dynamic equations are solved to find the phases in the system. then, the dynamic phase transition temperatures are obtained by investigating the thermal behavior of dynamic sublattice magnetizations. moreover, from this investigation, the nature of the phase transitions （first- or second-order） is characterized. Finally, the dynamic phase diagrams are plotted in five different planes. It is found that the dynamic phase diagrams contain the paramagnetic （P）, antiferromagnetic （AF5/2, AF3/2, AF1/2） phases and five different mixed phases. the phase diagrams also display many dynamic critical points, such as tricritical point, triple point, quadruple point, double critical end point and separating point.

In a deuterium operation on the Large Helical Device, the measurement and control equipment placed in the toms hall must survive under an environment of radiation, to study the effects of gamma-ray irradiation on the equipment, an irradiation experiment is performed at the Cobalt-60 irradiation facility of Nagoya University. transient and permanent effects on a personal computer, media converters, programmable logic controllers, isolation amplifiers, a web camera, optical flow meters, and water sealing gaskets are experimentally surveyed. transient noise appears on the web camera. Offset of the signal increases with an increase of the integrated dose on the programmable logic controller. the DeviceNet module on the programmable logic controller is broken at the integrated dose of 72 Gy, which is the expected range of the integrated dose of the toms hall. the other equipment can survive under the gamma-ray field in the toms hall.

CIFER software is used to identify steering and roll dynamics of a container ship. In this software, advanced features such as the Chirp-Z transform(CZt) and composite window optimization are applied to the time history of steering and roll dynamics to extract high quality frequency responses. From the extracted frequency responses, two linear transfer functions of Nomoto model are fitted for yaw and roll dynamics of the vessel. Based on the identified Nomoto model, a PID heading controller and a Kalman filter observer are constructed. the simulation results of heading controller for line of sight(LOS) waypoint guidance show excellent tracking of pilot inputs in the presence of wave induced motions and forces.

the evolutionary algorithm, a subset of computational intelligence techniques, is a generic population-based stochastic optimization algorithm which uses a mechanism motivated by biological concepts. Bio-inspired computing can implement successful optimization methods and adaptation approaches, which are inspired by the natural evolution and collective behavior observed in species, respectively. Although all the meta-heuristic algorithms have different inspirational sources, their objective is to find the optimum(minimum or maximum), which is problem-specific. We propose and evaluate a novel synergistic fibroblast optimization(SFO) algorithm, which exhibits the behavior of a fibroblast cellular organism in the dermal wound-healing process. Various characteristics of benchmark suites are applied to validate the robustness, reliability, generalization, and comprehensibility of SFO in diverse and complex situations. the encouraging results suggest that the collaborative and self-adaptive behaviors of fibroblasts have intellectually found the optimum solution with several different features that can improve the effectiveness of optimization strategies for solving non-linear complicated problems.

Herein, we present an approach to look for the best phenomenon to measure quantum correlation. the system of two isolated qubits each interacting with a single-mode cavity was theoretically created to study the quantum correlation. Some of the phenomena, such as the quantum discord and concurrence, were generated through such a system. the influences of initial state purity, qubit motion, and detuning parameters were discussed for the phenomena. these parameters for a specific value show that the behavior of phenomena are analogous. It is interesting to mention that some values of detuning undergo a sudden death of phenomena, and the quantum discord still captures the qubits quantum correlation. We predict that the quantum discord may be a better measure of quantum correlation than concurrence.

the mobility of clusters on a semiconductor surface for various values of cluster size is studied as a function of temperature by kinetic monte Carlo method. the cluster resides on the surface of a square grid. Kinetic processes such as the diffusion of single particles on the surface, their attachment and detachment to/from clusters, diffusion of particles along cluster edges are considered. the clusters considered in this study consist of 150-6000 atoms per cluster on average. A statistical probability of motion to each direction is assigned to each particle where a particle with four nearest neighbors is assumed to be immobile. the mobility of a cluster is found from the root mean square displacement of the center of mass of the cluster as a function of time. It is found that the diffusion coefficient of clusters goes as D = A（t）Na where N is the average number of particles in the cluster, A（t） is a temperature-dependent constant and a is a parameter with a value of about -0.64 〈 a 〈 -0.75. the value of a is found to be independent of cluster sizes and temperature values （170-220 K） considered in this study. As the diffusion along the perimeter of the cluster becomes prohibitive, the exponent approaches a value of -0.5. the diffusion coefficient is found to change by one order of magnitude as a function of cluster size.
