Further numerical investigation on concrete dynamic behaviors with considering stress non-equilibrium in ShPB test based on the waveform features

In this study,with the meso-scale model reliably validated in our previous work(Construction and Building Materials,2018),the waveform features of plain concrete under various loading conditions and especially with considering stress non-equilibrium are reliably reproduced and *** with waveform features,the violation indicator of the specimen stress equilibrium in the split hopkinson pressure bar test is identified for concrete-like damage softening *** concrete material behaviors for stress non-equilibrium are further analyzed,*** dynamic increase factor(DIF)and damage development,*** conception of“damage failure volume”is introduced,and a new method of defining the development of concrete dynamic damage is given in the nimierical ***’s more,the“compression wave”and“double peak”phenomena observed in the experiment are further interpreted based on the means of numerical *** features how to reflect the concrete material properties is also *** results show that,the disappearance of the“double peak” phenomenon of reflection curve under high strain rate can be regarded as the indicator of the violation of stress *** the violation of the stress equilibrium,the relevant DIFs of the concrete specimen will not change ***,the concrete specimen will turn into structural response from material *** conception of“damage failure volume”can well explain the generation of the“double peak”phenomenon of the reflection *** “compression wave” phenomenon of reflection curve under lower strain rates is derived from the unloading expansion recovery of the concrete ***,under the same loading condition,the amplitude of the first peak of the reflection curve can be used as the evaluation standard of the bonding quality between mortar and aggregates.

Co-production of hydrogen, oxygen, and electricity via an integrated solar-driven system with decoupled water electrolyzer and Na-Zn ion battery

Combining water electrolysis and rechargeable battery technologies into a single system holds great promise for the co-production of hydrogen （h2） and ***,the design and development of such systems is still in its ***,an integrated hydrogen-oxygen （O2）-electricity co-production system featuring a bipolar membrane-assisted decoupled electrolyzer and a Na-Zn ion battery was established with sodium nickelhexacyanoferrate （NaNihCF） and Zn2+/Zn as dual redox *** decoupled electrolyzer enables to produce h2and O2in different time and space with almost 100%Faradaic efficiency at 100 mA ***,the charged NaNihCF and Zn electrodes after the electrolysis processes formed a Na-Zn ion battery,which can generate electricity with an average cell voltage of 1.75 V at 10 m A *** connecting Si photovoltaics with the modular electrochemical device,a well-matched solar driven system was built to convert the intermittent solar energy into hydrogen and electric energy with a solar to hydrogen-electricity efficiency of 16.7%,demonstrating the flexible storage and conversion of renewables.

A mild, configurable, flexible CoNi-LDh（v）/Zn battery based on h-vacancy-induced reversible Zn2+ intercalation

Flexible Zn-based batteries have attracted increasing research interest as essential components of wearable energy storage ***,the advancement of flexible aqueous Zn-based batteries based on Co-Ni layered double hydroxide （CoNi-LDh） as the cathode material is hampered by their poor cycling stability and the corrosiveness of alkaline ***,CoNi-LDh nanosheets enriched with h vacancies (CoNi-LDh（v）) were constructed on a flexible carbon cloth （CC） substrate via electrochemical deposition and *** Zn-based battery comprising CoNi-LDh（v）@CC as the cathode exhibited highly reversible conversion reactions and stable operation in 3 M ZnSO4electrolyte （ph=4）.the battery delivered an excellent specific capacity (225 mA h g-1,0.26 mA h cm-2),acceptable cycling stability（53.9%,900 cycles）,and high discharging *** abundant h vacancies served as active sites for the reversible intercalation of Zn2+and the extravasation of NO3-generated channels and space for Zn2+transport and storage,together enabling an excellent Zn2+storage ***,a sandwich-structured solid-state CoNi-LDh（v）@CC//Zn@CC battery was fabricated and was found to exhibit a noteworthy electrochemical performance and mechanical *** a proof of concept,the unencapsulated battery powered a digital watch under various deformation conditions and operated stably for 80 ***,the flexible battery displayed outstanding customizability,maintaining an open-circuit voltage of 1.42 V even after being cut *** proposed engineering strategy contributes to the realization of textiles with truly wearable energy-storage devices.

Free vibration and transient response of double curved beams connected by intermediate straight beams

this paper investigates the free vibration and transient response of interconnected structures including double curved beams and intermediate straight beams,which are all constructed from functionally graded porous(FGP) materials. the strain potential and kinetic energies of each beam along with the work done by the external force are calculated. Additionally, a higher-order beam element is introduced to derive stiffness and mass matrices, along with the force vector. the curved and straight beams are discretized, and their assembled stiffness, mass matrices, and force vectors, are *** conditions at the joints are used to derive the total matrices of the entire structure. Subsequently, the natural frequencies and transient response of the system are determined. the accuracy of the mathematical model and the self-developed computer program is validated through the comparison of the obtained results with those of the existing literature and commercial software ANSYS, demonstrating excellent ***, a comprehensive study is conducted to investigate the effects of various parameters on the free vibration and transient response of the considered structure.

this paper highlights the crucial role of Indonesia’s GNSS receiver network in advancing Equatorial Plasma Bubble(EPB)studies in Southeast and East Asia,as ionospheric irregularities within EPB can disrupt GNSS signals and degrade positioning *** by the Indonesian Geospatial Information Agency(BIG),the Indonesia Continuously Operating Reference Station(Ina-CORS)network comprises over 300 GNSS receivers spanning equatorial to southern low-latitude ***-CORS is uniquely situated to monitor EPB generation,zonal drift,and dissipation across Southeast *** provide a practical tool for EPB research,by sharing two-dimensional rate of total Electron Content(tEC)change index(ROtI)derived from this *** generate ROtI maps with a 10-minute resolution,and samples from May 2024 are publicly available for further scientific *** preliminary findings from the ROtI maps of Ina-CORS are ***,the Ina-CORS ROtI maps reveal that the irregularities within a broader EPB structure persist longer,increasing the potential for these irregularities to migrate farther ***,we demonstrate that combined ROtI maps from Ina-CORS and GNSS receivers in East Asia and Australia can be used to monitor the development of ionospheric irregularities in Southeast and East *** have demonstrated the combined ROtI maps to capture the development of ionospheric irregularities in the Southeast/East Asian sector during the G5 Geomagnetic Storm on May 11,*** observed simultaneous ionospheric irregularities in Japan and Australia,respectively propagating northwestward and southwestward,before midnight,whereas Southeast Asia’s equatorial and low-latitude regions exhibited irregularities *** sharing ROtI maps from Indonesia and integrating them with regional GNSS networks,researchers can conduct comprehensive EPB studies,enhancing the understanding of EPB behavior across Southeast and East Asia and contributing significantly to ionosphe

toxicological effects of PBDEs on carassius aurats

In this study the effects of polybrominated diphenyl ether compounds (PBDEs), BDE-47 and BDE-99 on carassius aurats were discussed. the reproductive capacity viability and proliferation percent decreased with in-creasing BDE-47and BDE-99 concentrations (pting a dose-dependent manner. Physiological bio-markers such as cholesterol (ChL), acetylcholinesterase (AChE), ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase (EROD) and vitamin were studied to reveal the toxicological effects of BDE-47 and BDE-99 exposure. ChL levels generally decrease with increasing BDE-47 exposure. however, there were no significant differences between the samples and the con-trol. As to BDE-99, the ChL level decreased as compared with the control level when the BDE-99 concentrations reached 20 μg/L (pthe degree of inhibition of the AChE increased with the increase of DE-47and BDE-99 concentrations. the EROD activity during 72 hours' exposure significantly increased to 20 μg/L for BDE-47 (phowever, EROD activity was not significantly different at different concentrations of BDE-99 (pts hepatocytes reacted to the BDE-47 exposure with increasing EROD activities in the dose depend-ent manner. Although at lower concentrations, the induced effects of BDE-47 and BDE-99 were not significantly different, though BDE-47 showed strong induced effects on the EROD activity with increasing concentrations in carassius aurats hepatocytes. In contrast, BDE-99 did not influence EROD activity consistently. the VA level of carassius aurats was significantly different from that of the controls for BDE-99 (pthe VA level was significantly lower of carassius aurats than the controls for BDE-47 (phL, AChE, EROD, and VA levels in carassius aurats were differently affected by BDE-47 and BDE-99 exposures, therefore, they would be good indicators for exposure.

In situ tEM investigation of electron irradiation and aging-induced high-density nanoprecipitates in an Mg-10Gd-3Y-1Zn-0.5Zr alloy

In-situ electron irradiation and aging are applied to introduce high-density precipitates in an Mg-10Gd-3Y-1Zn-0.5Zr(GWZ1031K,wt.%)alloy to improve the *** results show that the hardness of the Mg alloy after irradiation for 10 h and aging for 9 h at 250℃ is 1.64 GPa,which is approximately 64% higher than that of the samples before being *** is mainly attributed to γ'precipitates on the basal plane after irradiation and the high-density nanoscale β'precipitates on the prismatic plane after aging,which should be closely related to the irradiation-induced homogenous *** latter plays a key role in precipitation *** result paves a way to improve the mechanical properties of metallic materials by tailoring the precipitation through irradiation and aging.

In situ polymerization of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)protective layer towards stable zinc anode

Aqueous zinc-ion devices are considered promising candidates for energy storage due to their high safety,low cost and relatively high energy ***,the dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution reaction(hER)and corrosion of the zinc anode significantly limit the development of Zn-ion ***,an inexpensive poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOt)protective layer was constructed in situ on the Zn surface using electropolymerization to suppress dendrite growth and side reactions,thereby enhancing the reversibility of *** and theoretical calculations revealed that this hydrophilic protective layer promotes the desolvation process of hydrated Zn^(2+)and facilitates the transport of zinc ions,thus improving the thermodynamic and kinetic properties of Zn^(2+)deposition and inhibiting interfacial side ***,the optimized PEDOt@Zn symmetric battery exhibited a cycling stability exceeding 1250 h at 0.5 mA·cm^(-2)and 0.25 mAh·cm^(-2),with a significantly reduced overpotential(from 91.8 to 35 mV).With the assistance of the PEDOt protective layer,the PEDOt@Zn//Cu battery maintained approximately 99.5%Coulombic efficiency after 450 ***-situ scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and in situ optical microscopy characterizations further confirmed that the PEDOt protective layer can effectively suppress the growth of zinc ***,the Zn-ion capacitors assembled by the PEDOt@Zn and activated carbon also demonstrated outstanding cycling stability.

Modeling the measurement precision of Fringe Projection Profilometry

three-dimensional(3D)surface geometry provides elemental information in various sciences and precision *** Projection Profilometry(FPP)is one of the most powerful non-contact(thus non-destructive)and non-interferometric(thus less restrictive)3D measurement techniques,featuring at its high ***,the measurement precision of FPP is currently evaluated experimentally,lacking a complete theoretical model for *** propose the first complete FPP precision model chain including four stage models(camera intensity,fringe intensity,phase and 3D geometry)and two transfer models(from fringe intensity to phase and from phase to 3D geometry).the most significant contributions include the adoption of a non-Gaussian camera noise model,which,for the first time,establishes the connection between camera’s electronics parameters(known in advance from the camera manufacturer)and the phase precision,and the formulation of the phase to geometry transfer,which makes the precision of the measured geometry representable in an explicit and concise *** a result,we not only establish the full precision model of the 3D geometry to characterize the performance of an FPP system that has already been set up,but also explore the expression of the highest possible precision limit to guide the error distribution of an FPP system that is yet to *** theoretical models make FPP a more designable technique to meet the challenges from various measurement demands concerning different object sizes from macro to micro and requiring different measurement precisions from a few millimeters to a few micrometers.

Effects of heat treatment and Additive LiF on the Properties of Solid-State Electrolyte of Li_(1.5)Al_(0.5)Ge_(1.5)(PO_(4))_(3)

A solid electrolyte of LAGP[Li_(1.5)Al_(0.5)Ge_(1.5)(PO_(4))_(3)]contained 0.5 wt%Li F was prepared by using low-volatile raw *** effects of different heat treatment conditions(750–900°C,4–10 h)and additive(Li F)on the ionic conductivity,structural morphology,and crystal transformation process were investigated in ***(electrochemical impedance spectroscopies)showed that the ionic conductivity of LAGP contained 0.5 wt%Li F had a highest value of 3.17×10^(-4)S cm^(-1)with low activation energy(0.31 e V)after treating 825°C for 6 h,more than LAGP of 2.45×10^(-4)S cm^(-1).DSC analysis and SEM images indicated that adding a small amount of Li F to LAGP not only can lower the glass transition temperature(from 513°C to507°C)and crystallization temperature(from 622°C to 605°C),but also can modify the grain boundary and increase the relative density of LAGP(from 95.8%to 97.7%).
