A size-dependent computational approach for bending,free vibration and buckling analyses of isotropic and sandwich functionally graded(FG)microplates is in this study *** consider both shear deformation and small scale effects through the generalized higher order shear deformation theory and modified couple stress theory(MCSt).the present model only retains a single material length scale parameter for capturing properly size effects.A rule of mixture is used to model material properties varying through the thickness of *** principle of virtual work is used to derive the discrete system equations which are approximated by moving Kriging interpolation(MKI)meshfree *** examples consider the inclusions of geometrical parameters,volume fraction,boundary conditions and material length scale *** and effectiveness of the present method are confirmed through numerical results.

BACKGROUNd:traumatic cardiac arrest(tCA)is a major contributor to mortality and morbidity in all age groups and poses a significant burden on the healthcare *** there have been advances in treatment modalities,survival rates for tCA patients remain *** narrative literature review critically examines the indications and eff ectiveness of current therapeutic approaches in treating ***:We performed a literature search in the PubMed and Scopus databases for studies published before december 31,*** search was refi ned by combining search terms,examining relevant study references,and restricting publications to the English *** the search,943 articles were retrieved,and two independent reviewers conducted a screening ***:A review of various studies on pre-and intra-arrest prognostic factors showed that survival rates were higher when patients had an initial shockable *** were conflicting results regarding other prognostic factors,such as witnessed arrest,bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR),and the use of prehospital or in-hospital *** thoracotomy was found to result in more favorable outcomes in cases of penetrating trauma than in those with blunt *** endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta(REBOA)provides an advantage to emergency thoracotomy in terms of occupational safety for the operator as an alternative in managing hemorrhagic *** implemented in the setting of aortic occlusion,emergency thoracotomy and REBOA resulted in comparable mortality ***-venous extracorporeal life support(V-V ECLS)and veno-arterial extracorporeal life support(V-A ECLS)are viable options for treating respiratory failure and cardiogenic shock,*** the context of traumatic injuries,V-V ECLS has been associated with higher rates of survival to discharge than V-A ***:tCA remains a signifi cant challenge for emergency medical services due to its high m

Radiative decays d((s))*→d((s))γare revisited in light of new experimental data from the BaBar and BESⅢ*** radiative couplings gd*dγencoding nonperturbative QCd effects are calculated in the framework of the covariant confined quark model developed by *** compare our results with other theoretical studies and experimental *** couplings(in GeV-1)|g(d*+d+γ)|=0.45(9)and|g(d*0d0γ)|=1.72(34)calculated in our model agree with the corresponding experimental data|g(d*+d+γ)|=0.47(7)and|g(d*0d0γ)|=1.77(16).the most interesting case is the decay ds*→dsγ,for which a recent prediction based on light-cone sum rules at next-to-leading order|gds*dsγ|=0.60(19)deviates from the first(and only to date)lattice QCd result|gds*dsγ|=0.11(2)at nearly3σ.Our calculation yields|gds*dsγ|=0.29(6),which falls somehow between the two mentioned results,although it is larger than those predicted in other studies using quark models or QCd sum rules.

New analyses of earlier ALMA observations of oxygen-rich AGB star EP Aquarii are presented,which complete a previously published analysis and offer a different interpretation of the morpho-kinematics of the circumstellar *** birth of the equatorial density enhancement(EdE)is shown to occur very close to the star where evidence for rotation has been *** to the star and where outflows have been observed:their interaction with the gas of the nascent EdE is seen to play an important role in the development of the wind and the evolution of its radial velocity from 8 to 10 km s^(-1) on the polar symmetry axis to~2 km s^(-1) at the *** implies complex morpho-kinematics:making reliable interpretations with reasonable confidence is *** particular,it questions an earlier interpretation implying the presence of a white dwarf companion orbiting the star at an angular distance of -0″4 from its *** proposes instead an interpretation in terms of a standard mass ejection associated with a shock wave leaving a void of emission in its *** doppler velocity wings are seen to consist of two components,the upper velocity end of the global wind,reaching above±12 km s^(-1),and an effective line broadening,confined within 200 mas from the center of the star,reaching above±20 km s^(-1) and interpreted as caused by the pattern of shock waves resulting from the interaction between stellar pulsation and convective cell partition.

this study presents the Chebyshev polynomials-based Ritz method to examine the thermal buckling and free vibration characteristics of metal foam *** analyses include three models for porosity distribution and two scenarios for thermal *** material properties are assessed under two conditions,i.e.,temperature dependence and temperature *** theoretical framework for the beams is based on the higher-order shear deformation theory,which incorporates shear deformations with higher-order *** governing equations are established from the Lagrange equations,and the beam displacement fields are approximated by the Chebyshev *** simulations are performed to evaluate the effects of thermal load,slenderness,boundary condition(BC),and porosity distribution on the buckling and vibration behaviors of metal foam *** findings highlight the significant influence of temperature-dependent(td)material properties on metal foam beams'buckling and vibration responses.

Urea-assisted natural seawater electrolysis is an emerging technology that is effective for grid-scale carbon-neutral hydrogen mass production yet *** scaling relations is an effective strategy to break through the bottleneck of natural seawater ***,by dFt calculation,we demonstrated that the interface boundaries between Ni2P and MoO2play an essential role in the selfrelaxation of the Ni-O interfacial bond,effectively modulating a coordination number of intermediates to control independently their adsorption-free energy,thus circumventing the adsorption-energy scaling *** this conceptual model,a well-defined 3d F-doped Ni2P-MoO2heterostructure microrod array was rationally designed via an interfacial engineering strategy toward urea-assisted natural seawater *** a result,the F-Ni2P-MoO2exhibits eminently active and durable bifunctional catalysts for both HER and OER in acid,alkaline,and alkaline sea water-based *** in-situ analysis,we found that a thin amorphous layer of NiOOH,which is evolved from the Ni2P during anodic reaction,is real catalytic active sites for the OER and UOR ***,such electrode-assembled urea-assisted natural seawater electrolyzer requires low voltages of 1.29 and 1.75 V to drive 10 and600 mA cm-2and demonstrates superior durability by operating continuously for 100 h at 100 mA cm-2,beyond commercial Pt/C || RuO2and most previous reports.

We report the design, fabrication, and characterization of a universal silicon PN junction ring resonator for C band error-free communication links operated up to 50 Gb/s with co-designed optical modulation and detection performance. the universal p-n junction ring device shows co-designed detection responsivity up to 0.84 A/W, in conjunction with a modulation efficiency of -4 V·mm and>8 d B optical modulation extinction ratio, enabling C band 50 Gb/s NRZ communication link with a bit error rate≤3×10^(-12).

BACKGROUNd Smartwatches have become readily accessible tools for detecting atrial fibrillation(AF).there remains limited data on how they affect psychosocial outcomes and engagement in older *** examine the health behavior outcomes of stroke survivors prescribed smartwatches for AF detection stratified by *** We analyzed data from the Pulsewatch study,a randomized controlled trial that enrolled patients(≥50 years)with a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack and CHA2dS2-VASc≥*** participants were equipped with a cardiac patch monitor and a smartwatch-app dyad,while control participants wore the cardiac patch monitor for up to 44 *** evaluated health behavior parameters using standardized tools,including the Consumer Health Activation Index,the Generalized Anxiety disorder questionnaire,the 12-Item Short Form Health Survey,and wear time of participants categorized into three age groups:Group 1(ages 50-60),Group 2(ages 61-69),and Group 3(ages 70-87).We performed statistical analysis using a mixedeffects repeated measures linear regression model to examine differences amongst age *** Comparative analysis between Groups 1,2 and 3 revealed no significant differences in anxiety,patient activation,perception of physical health and wear *** use of smartwatch technology was associated with a decrease in perception of mental health for Group 2 compared to Group 1(β=-3.29,P=0.046).CONCLUSION Stroke survivors demonstrated a willingness to use smartwatches for AF ***,among these study participants,the majority did not experience negative health behavior outcomes or decreased engagement as age increased.
