Higher order rnultipole potentials and electrostatic screening effects are introduced to incorporate the dan gling bonds on the surface of a metallic nanopaticle and to modify the coulornb like potential energy terms, respectively. the total interaction energy function for any rnetallic nanoparticle is represented in terms of two- and three-body potentials. the two-body part is described by dipole-dipole interaction potential, and in the three-body part, triple-dipole （DDD） and dipole-dipole-quadrupole （DDQ） terrns are included. the size-dependent cohesive energy and bulk modulus are observed to decrease with decreasing sizes, a result which is in good agreement with the experimental values of Mo and W nanoparticles.

BACKGROUND At our academic tertiary care medical center, we have noted patients referred for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) who increasingly require advanced cannulation techniques. this trend is noted despite increased endoscopist experience and annual ERCP volume over the same *** to evaluate this phenomenon of perceived escalation in complexity of cannulation at ERCP and assessed potential underlying *** Demographic/clinical variables and records of ERCP patients at the beginning(2008), middle(2013) and end(2018) of the last decade were reviewed retrospectively. Cannulation approaches were classified as "standard" or "advanced" and duodenoscope position was labeled as "standard"(short position) or "non-standard"(e.g., long, semi-long).RESULtS Patients undergoing ERCP were older in 2018 compared to 2008(69.7 ± 15.2 years vs 55.1 ± 14.7, P tortion and peri-ampullary diverticula were noted in 2018(P th a non-standard duodenoscope position, from 2.2%(2008) to 5.6%(2013) and 16.1%(2018)(P tilization of more than one advanced cannulation technique for a given ERCP increased from 0.7%(2008) to 0.9%(2013) to 6.6%(2018)(P 4 cm, pancreatic uncinate mass, and bilirubin > 10 mg/d L predicted use of advanced cannulation techniques(P ty of cannulation at ERCP has sharply increased over the past 5 years, with an increased proportion of elderly patients and those with malignancy requiring advanced cannulation approaches. these data suggest that complexity of cannulation at ERCP may be predicted based on patient/ampulla characteristics. this may inform selection of experienced, high-volume endoscopists to perform these complex procedures.

Co-precipitation method and conventional solid-state reaction technique were used to synthesize BaSnO3 nanoparticles and (BaSnO3)x/Bi1.6Pb0.4Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+δ (0≤x≤ 1.50w t％) samples,respectively.X-ray powder diffraction (XRD),scanning electron microscopy (SEM),and electrical resistivity data were used to characterize BiPb-2223 phase added by BaSnO3 *** relative volume fraction and superconducting transition temperature tc of BiPb-2223 phase were enhanced by increasing BaSnO3 addition up to 0.50 wt％.these parameters were decreased with further increase of *** resistive transition broadening under different applied DC magnetic fields (0.29-4.40kG) was analyzed through thermally activated flux creep (tAFC) model and Ambegaokar-Halperin (AH) *** of the derived flux pinning energy U,critical current density Jc (0) estimated from AH parameter C(B),and upper critical magnetic field Bc2 (0),were recorded by adding BaSnO3 nanoparticles up to 0.50 wt％,beyond which these parameters were *** magnetic field dependence of the flux pinning energy and critical current density decreased as a power-law relation,which indicated the single junction sensitivity between the superconducting grains to the applied magnetic ***,the increase in the applied magnetic field did not affect the electronic thermal conductivity Ke above the superconducting transition temperature and suppressed it below tc.

BACKGROUND Biliary dilation is frequently related to obstruction;however,non-obstructive factors such as age and previous cholecystectomy have also been *** the past two decades there has been a dramatic increase in opiate use/dependence and utilization of cross-sectional abdominal imaging,with increased detection of biliary dilation,particularly in patients who use *** to evaluate associations between opiate use,age,cholecystectomy status,ethnicity,gender,and body mass index utilizing our institution’s integrated informatics *** One thousand six hundred and eighty-five patients(20%sample)presenting to our Emergency Department for all causes over a 5-year period(2011-2016)who had undergone cross-sectional abdominal imaging and had normal total bilirubin were included and *** Common bile duct(CBD)diameter was significantly higher in opiate users compared to non-opiate users(8.67 mm vs 7.24 mm,Ptients with a history of cholecystectomy compared to those with an intact gallbladder(8.98 vs 6.72,Ptients with an intact gallbladder who did not use opiates(n=432),increasing age did not predict CBD diameter(r^2=0.159,P=0.873).Height weakly predicted CBD diameter(r^2=0.561,P=0.018),but weight,body mass index,ethnicity and gender did *** Opiate use and a history of cholecystectomy are associated with CBD dilation in the absence of an obstructive *** alone is not associated with increased CBD *** findings suggest that factors such as opiate use and history of cholecystectomy may underlie the previously-reported association of advancing age with increased CBD *** prospective study is warranted.

the addition of magnetic Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles to the superconducting Cu0.5tl0.5-1223 phase has been used to investigate the electrical resistivity behavior of the composite above the superconducting transition temperature tc. this was studied according to the opening of spin gap and fluctuation conductivity. the results indicated that the pseudogap temperature (t*) and superconducting fluctuation temperature (tscf) change by increasing the addition of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles. It was found that t* is related to hole carrier concentration P and it also depends on the antiferromagnetic fluctuation affected by magnetic nanoparticles. the excess-conductivity analysis showed four different fluctuation regions started from high temperature up to tc, and they were denoted by short wave (sw), two-dimensional (2D), three-dimensional (3D), and critical (cr) fluctuations. the crossover temperature between 3D and 2D (t3D-2D) in the mean field region was decreased by increasing the addition of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles, in accordance with the decrease in tscf with x. the coherence length at 0 K along c-axis ξc(0), effective layer thickness of the 2D system d, and inter-layer coupling strength J were estimated as a function of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticle addition. Moreover, the thermodynamics, lower and upper critical magnetic fields, as well as critical current density have been calculated from the Ginzburg number NG. It was found that the low concentration of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles up to x = 0.08 wt% improves the superconducting parameters of Cu0.5tl0.5-1223 phase. Egyptian beach ilmenite occurs in a relatively high content in the naturally highly concentrated superficial black sand deposits at specific beach zones in the northern parts of the Nile Delta at Rosetta. Microscopic study shows that the ilmenite occurs as fresh homogeneous black or heterogeneous multicoloured altered grains and exhibits three types （homogeneous, exsolved and altered） of ilmenite varieties. XRD data of ilmenite indicates their association with minor hematite and quartz, whereas leucoxene shows its association with Nb-rutUe, pseudorutile and hematite. Grain size distribution suggests a very fine sand size of 〉89% and 80% and a fine sand size of 10.5% and 18.3% for fresh and altered ilmenites, respectively. the density of fresh, altered ilmenite and leucoxene concentrates varies from 2.70, 2.50 to 2.40 ton/m^3, suggesting a gradual decrease from high grade fresh to leucoxene and consistent with variation in magnetic susceptibility as a consequence of the leaching of iron. Mass magnetic susceptibility reveals 97.6% of ilmenite and 92% of the altered form are obtained at 0.20 and 0.48 ampere. Fresh iimenite exhibits variable tiO2 （47.18%） and Fe2O3^t （46.10%） with minor MnO, MgO and Cr2O3 （1.22, 1.10 and 0.51%）. the altered ilmenite is higher in tiO2 （76.16%） and SiO2 （4.68%） and lower in Fe2O3^t （14.45%）, MnO, MgO and Cr2O3 （0.39, 0.52 and 0.11%） compared with the fresh form. three concentrates of ilmenites （G1, G2 and G3） were prepared from crude ore using a Reading cross belt magnetic separator under different conditions, revealing a gradual increase of tiO2, SiO2, Al2O3 and CaO accompanied by a decrease of Fe2O3^t, MgO and Cr2O3 with repetition of the separation processes. Several ore dressing techniques were carried out to upgrade the iimenite concentrate.

Effect of <i>trichoderma harzianum</i>in Combination with Fungicides in Controlling Gray Mould Disease (<i>Botrytis cinerea</i>) of Strawberry

the effects of biofungicide formula containing the biocontrol agent trichoderma harzianum (Jn14) as wettable powder in combination with the fungicides pyrimethanil and a mixture of cyprodinil and flydioxonil on Botrytis cinerea of strawberry in vitro, in vivo and in greenhouse were studied. the pathogen B. cinerea was more affected in vitro by low concentrations of the fungicides tested above 0.4 μg·ml-1 than the bioagent t. harzianum (Jn14). the later was almost insensitive to pyrimethanil. In the same direction, gray mould disease severity on strawberry detached leaves and whole plants was reduced up to 89% by the tested fungicides, compared to the control, while the application of t. harzianum (Jn14) alone reduced disease severity up to 45% on strawberry detached leaves, compared to the control. In the integrated control approach, the combination of t. harzianum (Jn14) with higher concentrations of the tested fungicides (ED50) completely inhibited strawberry gray mould disease severity in pots and the greenhouse.

Characteristics, management, and outcome of squamous carcinoma of the conjunctiva in a single tertiary cancer center in Jordan

AIM： to evaluate the features and outcome of management of malignant conjunctival squamous tumors in King Hussein Cancer Center（a referral tertiary cancer center in the Middle East）. MEtHODS： Retrospective case series of 31 eyes for 31 patients with conjunctival squamous neoplasia. Main outcome measures included： age, gender, laterality, tumor location, pathological features, tumor stage, treatment modality, and outcome. RESULtS： twenty（65%） patients were males and median age was 58 y. twenty-two（71%） eyes had the tumor in the nasal quadrant. tumor invasion to nearby structures was seen in 19（61%） eyes, including the cornea, fornix, eyelid, and orbit in 17（55%）, 1（3%）, 2（6%）, and 3（10%） eyes, respectively. Eye salvage was achieved by surgical excision with cryotherapy followed by topical chemotherapy in 28（90%） eyes, and orbital exenteration was necessary in 3（10%） eyes due to orbital tumor invasion. tumor recurrence was seen in 7（23%） eyes, and the significant predictive factors for recurrence were tumor extension onto the nearby structures（P=0.04）, tumor invasiveness（P=0.038）, and tumor tNM stage（P=0.031）. No significant change in visual acuity was seen, and disease related mortality was 6%（2 patients, both had orbital invasion by invasive squamous carcinoma）. CONCLUSION： Conjunctival squamous carcinoma is more common in males. Advanced American Joint Committee on Cancer（AJCC） t-stage, tumor local invasion, more pathologically aggressive tumors, and surgical treatment alone（without adjuvant therapy） are associated with higher risk for recurrence, and orbital invasion is the most important poor prognostic factor for metastasis and death. treatment strategies should be affected by tumor characteristics at presentation.

Potential of the Integrated Control of Cucumber Root Rot Using Natural, Biological and Chemical Methods

Over the few last years, cucumber （Cucumis sativus L） root rot disease became common and inflicted marked losses to yield in Fayoum. Isolation trails from infected cucumber roots revealed that thielaviopsis basicola and Fusarium moniliforme were the main cucumber root rot pathogens. the isolation trials from the rhizosphere of healthy cucumber plants revealed that two fungal isolates and four bacterial isolates had antagonistic effects against cucumber root rot fungi. All the tested biocontrol agents reduced the radial growth of all the tested root rots fungi in dual cultures. However, all culture filtrates of the tested biocontrol agent significantly reduced radial growth of all the tested pathogenic fungi, except that t. harzianum. Under field conditions, soil treatment with any of t. harzianum and B. subtilis BI and BF, significantly reduced percentages of infected plants and significantly increased percentages of survived plants and fruit yield compared with the control. Application of the commercial product Harpin protein （Messenger）~ product, as a resistance inducer at 0.3, 0.5 and l g/L significantly reduced the percentage of infected plants under greenhouse and field conditions. Field experiments indicated that the average percentage of infected plants after 90 days significantly decreased. the percentage of the survived plants as well as fruit yield increased by using integrated disease management （IDM） package, including the most effective treatments： tolerant cultivar, trichoderma harzianum granules formula as soil treatment, Purging cassia plant extract, Harpin protein, and a half dose of Vitavax/thiram comparing with the treatment recommended by the Ministry of Agricultural or applied treatments individually.
