the spatial arrangement,distribution and morphology of Fe-bearing intermetallics in AA6082 alloys depends on the manufacturing process of the alloy and thus influences the macroscopic ***,the microstructure of a near industrial scale casting AA6082 Al alloy fabricated by:(a)direct chill casting,(b)Al-5 ti-1 b grain refiner addition and(c)intensive melt shearing has been investigated by threedimensional visualization using SEM-based serial ultra microtomy *** formation sequence of phases in AA6082 alloys is generally categorized into four stages:formation ofα-Al grains,Fe-bearing intermetallics,Mg_(2)Si phase,and eutectic *** of three-dimensional visualization of the microstructure indicated that tibparticles not only could nucleate Fe-bearingβ-intermetallics,but also could provide substrate for the formation of Fe-bearingα-intermetallics and Mg_(2)Si.A further deep analysis reveals that the essential condition for the formation of secondary phases such as Fe-bearing intermetallics and Mg_(2)Si phase is the build-up of a supersaturated solute front at theα-Al solid-liquid interface irrespective of the specific nucleation *** addition,the results indicate that grain refinement processing causes the severe interconnectivity of Fe-bearingα-***,the intensive melt shearing is a better manufacturing process because the intermetallics are more evenly distributed and refined than with the addition of the grain refiner,thereby improving the properties of the alloy.

Knowing what native trees can recr uit on degraded areas allows selecting the best species to restore these ***,as this information is not often available,experimentation is required before large-scale *** study used ex situ experiments to make these decisions on *** with r-strategist plants,excessive solar radiation and water shortage commonly impair tree recruitment in open *** experiments focused on the interactions among these factors and were conducted with three pioneer species from seasonally dry forests of northwest Argentina,Anadenanthera colubrina,Ceiba chodatii and Jacaranda *** of each species were sown at two light levels(sunlight/shade),two rainfall levels(full/reduced)and two levels of interspecific competition(with/without competitor)in a tree *** emergence and survival were monitored over a year and the results indicate that species differentially respond to varying levels of light and *** of *** tolerated water shortages under elevated solar radiation,which are desirable features for forest *** of *** tolerated shade and drought,suggesting that they require shading for establishing in open ***,*** seedlings neither tolerated full sunlight nor water shortages,suggesting that this species requires shading and regular watering if used in *** of the effects of light and water,the survival of all species was reduced by interspecific *** results highlight the importance of experimentation for selecting the best species for forest restoration and can enhance the cost/benefit ratios of these actions.

Precise control over light-matter interactions is critical for many optical manipulation and material characterization methodologies,further playing a paramount role in a host of nanotechnology ***,the fundamental aspects of interactions between electromagnetic fields and matter have yet to be established unequivocally in terms of an electromagnetic momentum ***,we use tightly focused pulsed laser beams to detect bulk and boundary optical forces in a dielectric *** the optical convoluted signal,we decouple thermal and nonlinear optical effects from the radiation forces using a theoretical interpretation based on the Microscopic Ampère force *** is shown,for the first time,that the time-dependent pressure distribution within the fluid chiefly originates from the electrostriction *** results shed light on the contribution of optical forces to the surface displacements observed at the dielectric air-water interfaces,thus shedding light on the long-standing controversy surrounding the basic definition of electromagnetic momentum density in matter.

Vanadium mineralization at Los Chihuidos deposit of the neuquén basin is linked to the development of a redox front system related to the inflow of hydrocarbons into the red sandstone of the Huincul *** of hydrocarbons with oxidized red beds and connate water generated redox reactions where hematite was dissolved due to iron reduction resulting in the discoloration of the red *** the contact between oxidized red sandstone and reduced white sandstone,precipitation of specific mineral phases resulted in the V ore with minor amounts of *** the implementation of the redox interface,abundant V-montmorillonite and V-hematite precipitated at the more oxidizing conditions and Cu-V-corrensite-type at the more reducing conditions of the redox *** the redox front advanced with fluids constantly migrating into the reservoir,more reducing conditions were stablished,promoting chloritization and minor illitization with V-Cu incorporation and continuous upgrading of the *** ore mineralogy consists of clay minerals including V-bearing montmorillonite,Cu-V-corrensite-type,V-di-trioctahedral chlorite and Cu-tri-trioctahedral chlorite with minor V-illite-smectite mixed-layer minerals and associated secondary *** over illitization was favored due to high amounts of Fe and Mg in detrital clasts and in connate fluids and by low K availability related to low amounts of detrital *** spatial transition of V and/or Cu bearing clay minerals observed through the mineralized redox front at Los Chihuidos deposit(kaolinite→smectite→illite/smectite→corrensite-type→di-trioctahedral-chlorite→tri-trioctahedral-chlorite)and the related variation of V-Cu concentrations in bulk rock are indicative of increasing pH and decreasing Eh of resident solutions from red to white sandstones during the hypogene mineralization *** influx of Cu-rich oxidized basinal brines precipitated main copper ore with Cu-sulfides in the white sandst

Objective:to evaluate the effects of three oxidized palm oil diets(OPD)on female rat reproductive ***:Forty-four female Wistar rats presenting five consecutive and regular estrous cycles were divided into 4 *** rats were fed with:a standard diet,70%of standard diet+30%oxidized palm oil diet(OPD1),OPD1+5 g of boiled yolk egg(OPD2)and OPD1+10%sucrose(OPD3)for 125 days,*** the feeding period,morphometric,estrous cycle,sexual behavior,gestation,biochemical and histomorphometric parameters were ***:All OPDs significantly increased abdominal circumference,body mass index and Lee index coupled to an irregularity and lengthening of the estrous *** significantly decreased appetite and consumption behaviours,quantic pregnancy index,fertility rate,implantation sites and index,serum progesterone and high-density lipoprotein levels,increased pre-implantation losses,anti-implantation activities,serum estradiol,triglycerides,total and low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol levels,and impaired brain and ovaries oxidative *** examinations revealed increases in the number of atresic and primary follicles and decreases in secondary,tertiary,Degraaf,total and corpus luteum follicles in ovaries coupled to a neurodegeneration of hypothalamic anteroventral periventricular neurons in the OPD groups compared to the standard diet ***:the three OPDs induce obesity and impair the female reproductive function,especially OPD2 and *** findings contribute to a better understanding of the adverse effects of palm oil bleaching on the reproductive function in female rats,which could be useful in the management of women with obesity-related sexual dysfunction.

In Côte d’Ivoire, the recurring and unregulated use of bushfires, which cause ecological damage, presents a pressing concern for the custodians of protected areas. this study aims to enhance our comprehension of the dynamics of burnt areas within the Abokouamékro Wildlife Reserve (AWR) by employing the analysis of spectral indices derived from satellite imagery. the research methodology began with the calculation of mean indices and their corresponding spectral sub-indices, including nDVI, SAVI, nDWI, nDMI, bAI, nbR, tCW, tCG, and tCb, utilizing data from the Sentinel-2A satellite image dated January 17, 2022. Subsequently, a fuzzy classification model was applied to these various indices and sub-indices, guided by the degree of membership α, with the goal of effectively distinguishing between burned and unburned areas. Following the classification, the accuracies of the classified indices and sub-indices were validated using the coordinates of 100 data points collected within the AWR through GPS technology. the results revealed that the overall accuracy of all indices and sub-indices declines as the degree of membership α decreases from 1 to 0. Among the mean spectral indices, nDVI-mean, SAVI-mean, nDMI-mean exhibited the highest overall accuracies, achieving 97%, 95%, and 90%, respectively. these results closely mirrored those obtained by sub-indices using band 8 (nDVI-b8, SAVI-b8, and nDMI-b8), which yield respective overall accuracies of 93%, 92%, and 89%. At a degree of membership α = 1, the estimated burned areas for the most effective indices encompassed 2144.38 hectares for nDVI-mean, 1932.14 hectares for mean SAVI-mean, and 4947.13 hectares for mean nDMI-mean. A prospective approach involving the amalgamation of these three indices could have the potential to yield improved outcomes. this study could be a substantial contribution to the discrimination of bushfires in Côte d’Ivoire.
