Nonmetric traits in Permanent teeth as Clues to Ethnicity in Vidarbha Subpopulation to Aid Forensic Profiling:Pilot Study

Introduction:Nonmetric dental traits have a crucial role in ethnic classification of populations that help in forensic racial *** studies have demonstrated the differences in the expression and frequency of dental traits between various ethnic groups for ancestry determination in the context of forensic dental *** present study is an attempt to assess the frequency and variation in nonmetric traits for establishing ethnicity in the Vidarbha ***:the aim of the study was to assess the frequency and variation of nonmetric traits in permanent teeth for establishing ethnicity in the Vidarbha *** and Methods:Participants of the Vidarbha subpopulation were selected by random sampling ***,premolars,and incisors were evaluated for frequency of nonmetric traits,and variations were graded according to Dentoanthropological System of State University of Arizona *** statistics,Chi-square test,and Student’s t-test were used for analysis of ***:the most common occlusal morphology in mandibular first and second molar was 5 cusp and 4 cusp,respectively,with the“+”groove *** 3 and cusp 4 were observed frequently in the maxillary *** lingual cusp was most commonly seen in mandibular premolars show while incisors showed faint ***:Our study concludes that nonmetric traits were present and showed variation in permanent maxillary and mandibular teeth among the Vidarbha *** 5 and Cusp 4 in first and second mandibular molars,respectively,groove pattern“+”and grade 1 protostylid were the most frequent grades observed in permanent mandibular *** lingual cusp was most commonly seen in mandibular premolars and faint shoveling was a notable feature in incisors of this population.

Annually,10%of cirrhotic patients with ascites develop refractory ascites for which large-volume paracentesis(LVP)is a frequently used therapeutic ***,although a safe method,is associated with circulatory dysfunction in a significant percentage of patients,which is termed para-centesis-induced circulatory dysfunction(PICD).PICD results in faster reaccumulation of ascites,hyponatremia,renal impairment,and shorter *** is diagnosed through laboratory results,with increases of>50%of baseline plasma renin activity to a value≥4 ng/mL/h on the fifth to sixth day after *** this review,we discuss the pathophysi-ology and prevention of PICD.

Benzoyl glycine （BG） is a promising organic nonlinear optical （NLO） crystal, whose second harmonic generation （SHG） efficiency is much higher than that of KDP （potassium dihydrogen phosphate）. Single crystals of pure, Cu2＋ and Cd2＋ doped BG were grown by slow evaporation technique. Optically transparent and defect free single crystals of size up to 10 mm×15 mm×10 mm were harvested in a period of 40-60 days. the growth conditions of pure and doped crystals of BG were optimized and the grown crystals were confirmed by single crystal XRD （X-ray diffraction）. the grown crystals were characterized by FtIR （Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy）, optical absorption and microhardness studies. the microhardness studies confirm that BG has a moderate VHN （Vickers hardness number） value in comparison to *** organic NLO crystals. the efficiency of frequency doubling was measured for the using Nd：YAG laser and the results were discussed.

Muon spin relaxation/rotation(μSR) is a vital technique for probing the superconducting gap structure, pairing symmetry and time reversal symmetry breaking, enabling an understanding of the mechanisms behind the unconventional superconductivity of cuprates and Fe-based high-temperature superconductors, which remain a puzzle. Very recently double layered Fe-based superconductors having quasi-2 D crystal structures and Cr-based superconductors with a quasi-1D structure have drawn considerable attention. Here we present a brief review of the characteristics of a few selected Fe-and Cr-based superconducting materials and highlight some of the major outstanding problems, with an emphasis on the superconducting pairing symmetries of these materials. We focus on μSR studies of the newly discovered superconductors ACa_2Fe_4As_4F_2(A = K, Rb, and Cs), thFeAsN, and A_2Cr_3As_3(A = K, Cs), which were used to determine the superconducting gap structures, the presence of spin fluctuations, and to search for time reversal symmetry breaking in the superconducting states. We also briefly discuss the results of μSR investigations of the superconductivity in hole and electron doped BaFe_2As_2.

the development of a safe and effective adjuvant that amplifies the immune response to an antigen is important for vaccine delivery. In this study, we developed pristine mesoporous carbon hollow spheres as high-capacity vaccine protein nanocarriers and safe adjuvants for boosting the immune response. Mono-dispersed invaginated mesostructured hollow carbon spheres （IMHCSs） have an average particle size of -200 nm, large pore size of 15 rim, and high pore volume of 2.85 cmB.g-1. IMHCSs exhibited a very high loading capacity （1,040 ~tg-mg-1） towards ovalbumin （OVA, a model antigen）, controlled OVA release behavior, excellent safety profile to normal cells, and high antigen delivery efficacy towards macrophages. In vivo immunization studies in mice demonstrated that OVA-loaded IMHCSs induced a 3-fold higher IgG response compared to a traditional adjuvant QuilA used in veterinary vaccine research. OVA delivered by IMHCSs induced a higher IgG1 concentration than IgG2a, indicating a t-helper 2 （th2）-polarized response. Interferon-y and interleukin-4 concentration analysis revealed both t-helper 1 （thl） and th2 immune responses induced by OVA- loaded IMHCSs. IMHCSs are safer adjuvants than QuilA. Our study revealed that pure IMHCSs without further functionalization can be used as a safe adjuvant for promoting th2-biased immune responses for vaccine delivery.

Hydrometeorological assessments and suspended sediment delivery from a central Himalayan glacier in the upper Ganga basin

Integrated hydrometeorological investigations are not frequently available at a regional scale over a longer time period, especially near the terminus of Indian Himalayan glaciers. An integrated approach to the collection of hydrological data has major advantages for understanding the runoff generation mechanisms at basin scale, particularly when coupled with meteorological observations. the current study involves time series analysis of hydrometeorological records collected near the terminus of the Chorabari Glacier, for four consecutive ablation seasons(June-Sept.) 2009-2012. the analysis shows that variation in rainfall was higher(c= 0.9) at the same elevation over proximal sites, while the intensity of extreme rainfall events was 121-160 mm/d. the diurnal temperature range(DtR) has a tendency to reduce over the ablation season because of the onset of the Indian Summer Monsoon(ISM) and then further increases during the ISM withdrawal indicating humid-temperate conditions. the peak discharge(Qpeak) was found to be higher during July and August. Snow and glacier melt contributed 76% of the total suspended sediment transport during peak ISM months(July and August) reflecting seasonal evolution of the hydrologic conduits. the results indicate that Karakoram and western Himalayan glaciers produce comparatively low sediment yield compared to central Himalayan glaciers. the hydrological variations are depicted through flow duration curves(FDC) for meltwater discharge and sediment load. the flow corresponding to Q, Q, and Q(where Qx is the discharge that is exceeded x percent of the time referred to as % dependability) are 4.2, 3.7, and 2.8 m~3/s; and the corresponding dependability for suspended sediment loads(SSLs) are 409.0, 266.0, and 157.2 t/d, respectively. the daily SSL and discharge(Q) from 2009 to 2012 were used to develop a sediment rating curve(SSL = 39.55 × Q. Metabolic flexibility has emerged as a critical determinant of CD8+t-cell antitumor activity,yet the mechanisms driving the metabolic flexibility of t cells have not been *** this study,we investigated the influence of the nuclear cap-binding complex(CBC)adaptor protein ARS2 on mature t *** doing so,we discovered a novel signaling axis that endows activated CD8+t cells with flexibility of glucose ***2 upregulation driven by CD28 signaling reinforced splicing factor recruitment to pre-mRNAs and affected approximately one-third of t-cell activation-induced alternative splicing *** these effects,the CD28-ARS2 axis suppressed the expression of the M1 isoform of pyruvate kinase in favor of PKM2,a key determinant of CD8+t-cell glucose utilization,interferon gamma production,and antitumor effector ***,PKM alternative splicing occurred independently of CD28-driven PI3K pathway activation,revealing a novel means by which costimulation reprograms glucose metabolism in CD8+t cells.

the study of imine-bridged organics has been the hot spot synthesis of second order nonlinear optical (SONLO) and photo-responsive materials in recent years. Herein we present a study of synthesis, growth, and characterization of ([paranitrophenyl]imino)benzene (PNPIB) NLO single crystal. the title compound was synthesized in one step by Schiff base formation. PNPIB single crystal of diameter of 40 mmand length 50 mmwas successfully grown by SR method using a seed as the nucleus. the growth rate formula is derived for the SR method. PNPIB single crystals of 10 mmdiameter and 60 mmheight have been grown at an average growth rate of 3 mmper day from the point seed in a glass crystallizer. Almost 100% stable crystal conversion efficiency was achieved. the as grown PNPIB crystals were characterized using single crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), Fourier transform Infrared (FtIR), Ultraviolet-Visible-Near Infrared (UV-Vis-NIR), 1H & 13C NMR spectral studies, dielectric measurement and NLO studies. Single crystal XRD analysis confirms that the grown ingot belongs to the space group of P2 of monoclinic system thus exhibiting noncentrosymmetric structure. the crystalline perfection was assessed by XRPD. the powder diffraction pattern of the grown crystal has been indexed. the presence of C=N bond with intramolecular hydrogen bonding and the protonation of ions were confirmed by FtIR analysis. the UV-Vis-NIR spectrum of the crystal shows that the crystal has a cut-off at 298 nm. the 1H & 13C NMR spectra confirm the molecular structure. the dielectric behaviour was measured in the frequency range 1 KHz - 10 KHz for the temperature range from 30℃ to 170℃. the slight decrease in dielectric constant has been observed as the frequency is increased and the dielectric loss is very low for the entire frequency range. the second harmonic generation (SHG) in the crystal was observed by Kurtz powder technique.
