Background: Appropriat. sample request.ng, collect.ng and t.mely dispat.h t. t.e appropriat. laborat.ry is essent.al in est.blishing diagnosis of pat.ologies wit. lesions. Much t.me and effort.may be wast.d if t.is is not.done according t. cert.in st.ndards. We conduct.d t.is st.dy t. assess t.e rout. of lymph node samples from request. t. reaching t.e laborat.ries. Met.ods: We conduct.d an audit.over a period from 4t. June unt.l 10t. Aug 2023. Dat. for all t.e procedures performed over t.is period on lymph node samples (was ent.red int. and analysed using Excel. Result.: A t.t.l of eight.en samples for sixt.en pat.ent. were obt.ined during t.is period. Median age of t.e pat.ent. was 34 years (19 - 73) wit. a M:F rat.o of 5:11. Among t.e IR samples, nine samples were from t.e neck, t.ree from inguinal area and one from axilla. Seven samples (53.8%) were t.u-cut.biopsies, six samples (46.15%) were FNA. All samples were sent.t. t.e pat.ology laborat.ry fixed in formalin. Samples for t. were sent.only for five cases (31.25%) and for only t.o cases (12.5%) were samples sent.for bact.rial cult.re. For t.e OR samples, none were sent.for eit.er bact.rial cult.re or t.. Overall, eight.pat.ent. (50%) were not.invest.gat.d for any infect.ous et.ologies like brucella, t.xoplasmosis, CMV, EBV plus ot.er possible causes. Repeat.sampling was required for 25% of pat.ent. (wit.in and out.of t.e audit.period). Conclusions: t. avoid delays in making diagnoses, it.is paramount.t. consider infect.ous et.ologies as possible diagnosis for lymphadenopat.y and request.appropriat. invest.gat.ons. t.is requires liaising wit. infect.ous diseases/clinical microbiology expert. t. guide regarding t.pes of samples, t.pes of media and t.mely dispat.h t. t.e correct.laborat.ry.

St.kes layer wit. layer int.ract.ons is st.died via a linear st.bilit. analysis of t.e frozen phases of t.e base flow. t.e oscillat.ons of t.o plat.s can have different.velocit. amplit.des, init.al phases, and frequencies. t.e effect. of t.e St.kes-layer int.ract.ons on t.e st.bilit. when t.o plat.s oscillat. synchronously are analyzed. t.e growt. rat.s of t.o most.unst.ble modes when δ t.equal, and δ = δ*/h*, where δ*and h*are t.e St.kes-layer t.ickness and t.e half height.of t.e channel, respect.vely. However, t.eir vort.cit.es are different. t.e vort.cit. of t.e most.unst.ble mode is symmet.ic, while t.e ot.er is asymmet.ic. t.e St.kes-layer int.ract.ons have a dest.bilizing effect.on t.e most.unst.ble mode when δ t.bilizing effect.when δ > 0.68. However, t.e int.ract.ons always have a st.bilizing effect.on t.e ot.er unst.ble mode. It.is explained t.at.one of t.e t.o unst.ble modes has much higher dissipat.on t.an t.e ot.er one when t.e St.kes-layer int.ract.ons are st.ong. We also find t.at.t.e st.bilit. of t.e St.kes layer is closely relat.d t. t.e inflect.onal point. of t.e base-flow velocit. profile. t.e effect. of inconsist.nt.velocit.-amplit.de, init.al phase, and frequency of t.e oscillat.ons on t.e st.bilit. are analyzed. t.e energy of t.e most.unst.ble eigenvect.r is mainly dist.ibut.d near t.e plat. of higher velocit. amplit.de or higher oscillat.on frequency. t.e effect. of t.e init.al phase difference are complicat.d because t.e base-flow velocit. is ext.emely sensit.ve t. t.e init.al phase.

t.e ball and plat. syst.m is an inherent.y nonlinear under act.at.d benchmark syst.m used for validat.ng t.e performance of various cont.ol schemes. A mathematical model depict.ng t.e dynamics close t. t.at.of t.e syst.m is very much required for such a t.st.bed. In t.is correspondence, t.e complet. nonlinear model, a simplified nonlinear model, and a linearized model of t.e ball and plat. syst.m are developed. t.e syst.m comprises a ball and plat. mechanism and a rot.ry servo unit. t.e ball and plat. mechanism is modelled using t.e Euler–Lagrange met.od, whereas t.e rot.ry servo subsyst.m is modelled from t.e first.principles. t.e nonlinear model of t.e combined syst.m is developed by including t.e dynamics of t.e servo mot.r wit. gear and rolling resist.nce bet.een t.e ball and t.e plat.. t.e simplified nonlinear model of t.e syst.m is obt.ined wit. suit.ble assumpt.ons. t.e model is linearized around t.e operat.ng point.using t.e Jacobian. t.e validit. of t.e developed models is invest.gat.d t.rough correlat.on funct.on analysis. t.e open-loop response of t.e t.ree models, viz., nonlinear, simplified nonlinear, and linearized models, is analyzed in t.e matLAB/Simulink plat.orm. Since t.e open-loop syst.m is unst.ble, t.e experiment.l validat.on of t.e model is performed wit. a double-loop PSO (part.cle swarm opt.mizat.on) PID cont.ol scheme.

Physicochemical paramet.rs of surface wat.r sources in t.e st.dy of local government.areas (LGAs) were assessed using st.ndard procedures. t.e mean physicochemical paramet.rs for pH (5.49), NO2 (0.23 mg/L), SO4 (0.77 mg/L), Na (28.72 mg/L), Ca (28.94 mg/L), Mg (17.50 mg/L), Cl (11.65 mg/L), t.S (6.27 mg/L), t.S (104.23 mg/L), BOD (2.83 mg/L) and F (0.87 mg/L) were below WHO st.ndards irrespect.ve of t.eir defecat.on st.t.s. t.e values for elect.ical conduct.vit. (EC) (2770.50 µs/cm, t.rbidit. (481.24 Nt.), dissolved oxygen (DO) (5.32 mg/L), chemical oxygen demand (COD) (445.50 mg/L), K (125.06 mg/L), PO4 (0.78 mg/L) and Fe (0.57 mg/L) were above t.e WHO limit. for safe wat.r. Higher EC and COD values obt.ined in t.e st.dy is evidence of pollut.on of t.e wat.r sources by organic matt.r.
