BACKGROUND Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2) infection, mostly causing respiratory symptoms, is also known to affect the gastrointestinal tract. Several case reports hypothesize that SARS-CoV-2 could be an etiological factor in acute pancreatitis(AP).AIM To assess all the available evidence in the literature relating to coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) and *** We performed a systematic review of the available literature on the topic. several heat shock proteins have been investigated in relation to tooth development, no available information is available about the spatial and temporal expression pattern of heat shock protein 60 （Hsp 60）. To characterize Hsp 60 expression in the structures of the developing tooth germ, we used Western blotting, immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization. Hsp 60 was present in high amounts in the inner and outer enamel epithelia, enamel knot （EK） and stratum intermedium （SI）. Hsp 60 also appeared in odontoblasts beginning in the bell stage. To obtain data on the possible effect of Hsp 60 on isolated lower incisors from mice, we performed in vitro culturing. To investigate the effect of exogenous Hsp 60 on the cell cycle during culturing, we used the 5-bromo-2- deoxyuridine （BrdU） incorporation test on dental cells. Exogenously administered Hsp 60 caused bluntness at the apical part of the 16.5-day-old tooth germs, but it did not influence the proliferation rate of dental cells. We identified the expression of Hsp 60 in the developing tooth germ, which was present in high concentrations in the inner and outer enamel epithelia, EK, SI and odontoblasts. High concentration of exogenous Hsp 60 can cause abnormal morphology of the tooth germ, but it did not influence the proliferation rate of the dental cells. Our results suggest that increased levels of Hsp 60 may cause abnormalities in the morphological development of the tooth germ and support the data on the significance of Hsp during the developmental processes.

Currently, 15% of the total Hungarian population is affected by either the elevated arsenic or ammonium concentration of drinking water, and 8% is affected by both compounds. The break-point chlorination is a well-known method for ammonium removal, however, during the ammonium-removal process carcinogenic and mutagenic by-products （e.g., THM （trihalogenmethane） and AOX （absorbable organically bound halogens）） may be formed. In order to remove these harmful organic by-products, activated carbon adsorption has to be applied in the technology. The break-point chlorine dose is capable of oxidizing the As3＋ to As5＋. The oxidized form of arsenic can be easily converted to solid phase by adding coagulant （Fe（Ⅲ） or AI（Ⅲ） salt） to the water, and the formed iron/aluminium flocs can be removed by simple rapid sand filtration. Laboratory experiments were performed with raw water from two Hungarian settlements, where the water originated from a deep confined aquifer. In the studied settlements, six wells were in operation, and the supplied drinking water contained ammonium above the maximum allowable concentration, and the arsenic content was around the 10 μg/L standard value. It was found that higher chlorine dose （- 10 Cl2：NH4-N） was needed to achieve the breakpoint than the theoretical value （7.6）. The amount of by-products was also measured during the experiments. The AOX concentrations were significantly higher （21.6 μg/L to 143μg/L） in all cases than the THM concentrations （9-18 μg/L）. The needed coagulant doses were also studied in order to achieve the required arsenic concentrations. Fe（Ⅲ） coagulant was applied in all cases, and it was found that 1-1.5 mg/L Fe（Ⅲ） dose was sufficient to achieve 2-5 μg/L arsenic concentration in the treated water. Based on the results, it can be stated that the breakpoint chlorination combined with Fe（Ⅲ） coagulation is a potential technology to achieve the required ammonium and arsenic concentration at the studied settlements. AIM： To determine the effect of melatonin pre- and post-treatment on the severity of L-arginine （L-Arg） -induced experimental pancreatitis in rats. METHODS： Male Wistar rats （25） were divided into five groups. Those in group A received two injections of 3.2 g/kg body weight L-Arg i.p. at an interval of 1 h. In group MA, the rats were treated with 50 mg/kg body weight melatonin i.p. 30 min prior to L-Arg administration. In group AM, the rats received the same dose of melatonin 1 h after L-Arg was given. In group M, a single dose of melatonin was administered as described previously. In group C the control animals received physiological saline injections i.p. All rats were exsanguinated 24 h after the second L-Arg injection. RESULTS： L-Arg administration caused severe necrotizing pancreatitis confirmed by the significant elevations in the serum amylase level, the pancreatic weight/body weight ratio （pw/bw）, the pancreatic IL-6 content and the myeloperoxidase activity, relative to the control values. Elevation of the serum amylase level was significantly reduced in rats given melatonin following L-Arg compared to rats injected with L-Arg only. The activities of the pancreatic antioxidant enzymes （Cu/Zn-superoxide dismutase （CulZn-SOD） and catalase （CAT）） were significantly increased 24 h after pancreatitis induction. Melatonin given in advance of L-Arg significantly reduced the pancreatic CAT activity relative to that in the rats treated with L-Arg alone. In the liver, L-Arg significantly increased the lipid peroxidation level, and the glutathione peroxidase and Cu/Zn-SOD activities, whereas the Mn-SOD activity was reduced as compared to the control rats. Melatonin pre-treatment prevented these changes. CONCLUSION： Melatonin is an antioxidant that is able to counteract some of the L-Arg-induced changes during acute pancreatitis, and may therefore be helpful in the supportive therapy of patients with acute necrotizing pancreatitis.
