This article aims to investigate the Darcy Forchhemier mixed convection flow of the hybrid nanofluid through an inclined extending *** different nanoparticles such as carbon nanotubes(CNTs)and iron oxide Fe3O4 have been added to the base fluid in order to prepare a hybrid *** partial differential equations for momentum,energy and convective diffusion have been changed into dimensionless ordinary differential equations after using Von Karman *** analysis method(HAM),a powerful analytical approach has been used to find the solution to the given *** effects of the physical constraints on velocity,concentration and temperature profile have been drawn as well for discussion *** numerical outcomes have been carried out for the drag force,heat transfer rate and diffusion rate *** Biot number of heat and mass transfer affects the fluid temperature whereas the Forchhemier parameter and the inclination angle decrease the velocity of the fluid *** results show that hybrid nanofluid is the best source of enhancing heat transfer and can be used for cooling purposes as well.

Evaluation of different formulations of IGRs against Aedes albopictus and Culex quinquefasciatus(Diptera:Culicidae)

Objective: To test the relative efficacy of pyriproxyfen and methoprene on mortality,deformity, inhibition and emergence to adult stages of Culex quinquefasciatus and Aedes ***: Serial dilutions(0.01–0.05 mg/L) of methoprene, pyriproxyfen 0.5 water dispersible granules(WDG) and pyriproxyfen 1.0 WDG were used to assess mortality and inhibition of 3rd instar larvae of Aedes albopictus and Culex quinquefasciatus. Each concentration and control was replicated four times in completely randomized *** on larval mortality, growth inhibition, deformities and adult's emergence was recorded weekly. On the basis of best comparative performance, the efficacy of pyriproxyfen 1.0 WDG at 0.1 g/m3 was also tested in the field by collecting treated water samples monthly for 1–6 months after field application. Twenty five 3rd instar larvae of Aedes and Culex spp. of the same cohorts were used for bioassays and compared with larvae in control cups containing 1 L of untreated tap ***: Results revealed variations in fatality of different insect growth regulators(IGRs) to the 3rd instar larvae of Culex and Aedes mosquitoes. Among the IGRs, pyriproxyfen 1.0 WDG was found best that exhibited significantly high emergence inhibition against Culex and Aedes spp. Based on the results, the IGRs were classified in terms of the tested parameters in order of pyriproxyfen 1.0 WDG > pyriproxyfen 0.5WDG > methoprene. In case of field studies, pyriproxyfen 1.0 WDG, pool data of the entire target treated sites showed minimum adult emergence from water sampled of habitats treated with 0.1 g/m3 of pyriproxyfen 1.0 ***: It is thus concluded that IGRs can be utilized as environment friendly control measures for Culex and Aedes spp. of mosquitoes on small and large scale. This will reduce the use of conventional insecticides by the public health authorities and help in reducing selection pressure of insecticides.

Peripapillary and macular vascular densities in healthy,ocular hypertensive,and different stages of glaucomatous eyes

AIM:To investigate vascular changes in different stages of glaucoma and to evaluate the role of optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)in the early diagnosis of ***:Glaucoma patients and healthy controls(n=29 eyes)were investigated in this cross-sectional comparative *** patients were grouped as ocular hypertension(n=44 eyes),preperimetric glaucoma(PPG;n=32 eyes),early glaucoma(EG;n=35 eyes),moderate stage glaucoma(MG;n=36 eyes),and advanced glaucoma(AG;n=35 eyes).Peripapillary and macular vascular densities(VDs)of all participants were compared and correlations of VDs and retinal nerve fiber layer thickness(RNFLT),ganglion cell analysis(GCA),and visual field(VF)tests were *** under the receiver operation characteristic curves(AUC)of the peripapillary and macular VD parameters were ***:VD values decreased with the progression of *** peripapillary and macular VD parameters of PPG and EG groups were lower than healthy controls(P<0.001).There was no significant difference in RNFLT between the PPG and EG groups,but most peripapillary and macular VDs were found to be lower in EG group than in PPG group(P<0.05).In most disease group,VDs were significantly correlated with OCT parameters(P<0.001)and VF index(P<0.05).There were no significant correlations between VF and RNFLT indices in the AG group,but significant correlations were found between VF and VD values(P<0.05).AUC for discriminating between healthy and glaucomatous eyes were highest in whole image peripapillary VD(AUC:0.865,0.929,and 0.986,respectively in EG,MG,and AG groups).CONCLUSION:OCTA can be used in the early diagnosis of glaucoma and can be useful in follow-up of the advanced *** cases where limitations or suspicions in structural and functional tests are present,OCTA can be used as a supportive diagnostic test,both in EG and AG.

Investigation on Steam Gasification of High-metamorphous Anthracite Using Mixed Black Liquor and Calcium Catalyst

The catalytic effects of single and mixed catalysts, i.e. single 3%Ca and 5%Na-BL（black liquor） catalysts and mixed 3%Ca＋5%Na-BL catalyst, on carbon conversion, gasification reaction rate constant and activation energy, relative amount of harmful pollutant like sulphur containing gases have been investigated by thermogravimetry in steam gasification under temperature 750℃ to 950℃ at ambient pressure for three high-metarnorphous anthracites （Longyan, Fenghai and Youxia coals in Fujian Province）. The mixed catalyst of 3%Ca＋5%Na-BL increases greatly the carbon conversion and gasification rate constant by accelerating the gasification reaction C＋H2O→CO＋H2 due to presence of alkali surfacecompounds [COM], [CO2M] and exchanged calcium phenolate and calcium carboxylate （-COO）2. By adding CaCO3 into BL catalyst in gasification, in addition to improving the catalyst function and enhancing the carbon conversion, the effective desulphurization is also achieved, but the better operating temperature should be below 900℃. The homogenous and shrinking core models can be successfully employed to correlate the relations between the conversion and the gasification .time .and to estimate the reaction rate constant, The reaction acUvaUon energy and pre-exponential factor are estimated and the activation energy for mixed catalyst is in a range of 98.72-166.92 kJ·mol^-1, much less than 177.50-196.46 kJ·mol^-1 for non-catalytic steam gasification for three experimental coals.

Scrub rangelands support livestock grazing and provide ecosystem services to their inhabitants. The present study was conducted in Chakwal, an important tract of the Pothwar Plateau,which sustains herds of small domestic and nomadic ruminants. Urbanization and uncontrolled grazing practices have reduced rangeland productivity and increased soil erosion and resulted in poor land conditions. This study assessed the influence of two years of rangeland protection on aboveground vegetation biomass and the chemical composition of plants and aimed to determine the influence of seasonal grazing on the live-weight gain of small *** the line intercept method, vegetation data from protected and unprotected plots in 2015 and 2016 were collected at two sites, Dhulli and *** cover was assessed from images using VegMeasure. Results showed that protected study sites displayed higher vegetation biomass(834 and 690 kg ha^(-1)) compared to the unprotected study site(477 and 326 kg ha^(-1)) during April and August of both years. In the seasonal grazing trial, the experimental ewes that grazed on protected rangelands showed higher live-weight gain(33–63 g day^(-1)) compared to live weight of ewes(17–21 g day^(-1)) that grazed on unprotected rangelands during the experimental period of 127 days at both sites. The results suggest that the Chakwal rangeland has tremendous potential to improve vegetation productivity but modern livestock management and seasonal grazing practices are needed to improve carrying capacity and livestock productivity.

A hospital based study on causes peculiar of congestive cardiac failure(CCF)

Objective:To determine the frequency of risk factors of congestive cardiac failure in a tertiary care hospital of ***:This retrospective observational study was conducted in department of Cardiology,Postgraduate Medical Institute,Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar,from March 2005 to September *** information regarding the risk factors of congestive cardiac failure were recorded on questionnaire prepared in accordance with the objectives of the ***:1 019 patients with established diagnosis of cardiac failure (based on clinical findings and relevant investigations) were *** of total sampling 583 (57.12%) were males and 436(42.78%) were *** age range of the patients was from 6 years to 82 years with mean age of 48.5 years and mode of age was 45 *** distribution of causative factors of CCF was:ischemic heart disease(IHD) 36.31%,hypertension 26.30%,dilated cardiomyopathy 10.10%,obstructve and restrictive cardiomyopathies 5.39%,valvular heart diseases(VHD) 9.32%,congenital heart disease like ventricular septal defects(VSD) 4.41%,atrial septal defects(ASD) 0.58%,atrial fibrillation (AF) 2.25%,constrictive pericardidtis 1.07%.Pericardial effusion 0.68%,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pulmonary hypertension 1.47%,thyrotoxicosis 0.68%,complete heart block 0.29%and paget disease in 0.09%***:Ischemic heart disease,hypertension,cardiomypathies,valvular heart disease and congenital heart disease are major contributor to CCF in our patients.

Optimal storage temperature and 1-MCP treatment combinations for different marketing times of Korla Xiang pears

Maintenance of green color is the primary indicator of quality in the market evaluation of Korla Xiang pears at present and can generally be achieved through early harvesting and decreasing the storage temperature, but the fruit quality was reduced by early harvesting, and the decreasing storage temperature increased the risk of chilling injury. The objectives of this study were to determine the optimal storage parameters for different storage times and to find ways to preserve the green skin color of pears. Specifically, we analyzed the effects of the ethylene inhibitor, 1-methylcyclopropene （1-MCP）, combined with low temperature on quality and maintenance of the green color of Korla Xiang pears during storage. We found that 1-MCP and/or low temperature reduced the loss of green color at 20℃ after being removed from cold storage. In addition, 1-MCP significantly inhibited the decline of titratable acid and ascorbic acid but had no significant effect on fruit firmness and total soluble solids. Low temperature with or without 1-MCP inhibited the release of ethylene, inhibited the decline in the stalk preservation index, inhibited the increase in decay rate and weight loss rate during storage, and inhibited the increase in the core browning index after 225 days of storage. Different storage temperatures had different effects on the quality of Korla Xiang pears. Despite inhibiting ethylene release, a storage temperature of-1.5℃ increased the respiration rate. Storage at -1.5℃ caused core browning eady during storage due to chilling injury, whereas at 2℃ core browning occurred late during storage due to senescence. In late storage, 1-MCP had no significant effect on the maintenance of Korla Xiang pear quality at 2℃. Based on these results, we determined the optimal combinations of low temperature and 1-MCP treatment to maintain pear quality while avoiding chilling injury. Manipulating magnetic anisotropies of Co/MgO(001) ultrathin films via oblique deposition

We present a systematic investigation of magnetic anisotropy induced by oblique deposition of Co thin films on MgO（001） substrates by molecular beam epitaxy at different deposition angles,i.e.,0？,30？,45？,60？,and 75？with respect to the surface *** energy electron diffraction（LEED）,surface magneto–optical Kerr effect（SMOKE）,and anisotropic magnetoresistance（AMR） setups were employed to investigate the magnetic properties of cobalt *** values of in-plane uniaxial magnetic anisotropy（UMA） constant Ku and four-fold magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant K1 were derived from magnetic torque curves on the base of AMR *** was found that the value of Ku increases with increasing deposition angle with respect to the surface normal,while the value of K_1 remains almost constant for all the ***,by using MOKE results,the Ku values of the films deposited obliquely were also derived from the magnetization curves along hard *** results of AMR method were then compared with that of hard axis fitting method（coherent rotation） and found that both methods have almost identical values of UMA constant for each sample.
