Fractional order algorithms have shown promising results in va.ious signal processing applica.ions due to their a.ility to improve performance without significantly increa.ing *** goal of this work is to inves-tigate the use of fractional order algorithm in the field of adaptive beam-forming,with a focus on improving performance while keeping complexity *** effectiveness of the algorithm will be studied and evaluated in this *** this paper,a fractional order least mean square(FLMS)algorithm is proposed for adaptive beamforming in wireless applica.ions for effective utiliza.ion of *** algorithm aims to improve upon existing beam-forming algorithms,which are inefficient in performance,by offering faster convergence,better accuracy,and comparable computa.ional *** FLMS algorithm uses fractional order gra.ient in addition to the standard ordered gra.ient in weight *** deriva.ion of the algorithm is provided and supported by mathema.ical convergence *** is evaluated through simula.ions using mean square error(MSE)minimiza.ion as a metric and compared with the standard LMS algorithm for va.ious *** results,obtained through Matlab simula.ions,show that the FLMS algorithm outperforms the standard LMS in terms of convergence speed,beampattern accuracy and scatter *** outperforms LMS in terms of convergence speed by 34%.From this,it can be concluded that FLMS is a better candidate for adaptive beamforming and other signal processing applica.ions.

This paper presents an energy efficient architecture for successive approxima.ion register(SAR)analog to digital converter(ADC).SAR ADCs with a capa.itor array structure have been widely used because of its simple architecture and rela.ively high ***,conventional SAR ADCs consume rela.ively high energy due to the large number of capa.itors used in the capa.itor array and their sizes scaled up along with the number of *** proposed architecture reduces the energy consumption as well as the capa.itor size by employing a new array architecture that scales down the reference voltages instead of sca.ing up the capa.itor *** proposed 12-bit SAR ADC is implemented in Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor(CMOS)0.13 um library using Cadence Virtuoso design *** results and mathema.ical model demonstrate the overall energy sa.ings of up to 97.3%compared with conventional SAR ADC,67%compared with the SAR ADC with split capa.itor,and 35%compared with the resistor and capa.itor(R&C)Hybrid SAR *** ADC achieves an effective number of bits(ENOB)of 11.27 bits and consumes 61.7 uW at sampling rate of 2.56 MS/s,offering an energy consumption of 9.8 fJ per conversion *** proposed SAR ADC offers 95.5%reduction in chip core area compared to conventional architecture,while occupying an active area of 0.088 mm2.

The objective of this study was to develop, as well as va.idate the strongly coupled method (two-way fluid structural interaction (FSi)) used to simulate the transient FSi response of the vertical a.is tidal turbine (VATT) rotor, subjected to spa.ially varying inflow. Moreover, this study exa.ined strategies on improving techniques used for mesh deforma.ion that account for large displacement or deforma.ion calcula.ions. The blade's deforma.ion for each new time step is considered in transient two-way FSi analysis, to make the design more reliable. Usually this is not considered in routine one-way FSi simula.ions. A rotor with four blades and 4-m diameter was modeled and numerically analyzed. We observed that two-way FSi, utilizing the strongly coupled method, was impossible for a complex model; and thereby using ANSYS-CFX and ANSYS-MECHa.iCAL in work bench, as given in ANSYS-WORKBENCH, helped case examples 22 and 23, by giving an error when the solution was run. To make the method possible and reduce the computa.ional power, a novel technique was used to transfer the file in ANSYS-APDL to obtain the solution and results. Consequently, the results indica.ing a two-way transient FSi analysis is a time- and resource-consuming job, but with our proposed technique we can reduce the computa.ional time. The ANSYS STRUCTURAL results also uncover that stresses and deforma.ions have higher values for two-way FSi as compared to one-way FSi. Similarly, fluid flow CFX results for two-way FSi are closer to experimental results as compared to one-way simula.ion results. Additionally, this study shows that, using the proposed method we can perform coupled simula.ion with simple multi-node PCs (core i5).

influence of Cu doping in Magnesium Hydroxide Nanoparticles for Bandgap Engineering

Cu doped Mg(OH)_(2) nanoparticles were synthesized with varying concentra.ions from 0 to 10%by a chemical synthesis technique of coprecipita.ion.X-rays diffraction (XRD) of the samples confirms that all the samples acquire the hexagonal crystal *** results indicated the solubility limit of dopant in the host material and the secondary phase of CuO was observed beyond 3%Cu doping in Mg(OH)_(2).The reduction in the size of nanoparticles was observed from 166 to 103 nm for Mg(OH)_(2) and 10% Cu doped Mg(OH)_(2)samples,*** shift in absorption spectra exhibited the systema.ical enhancement in optical bandgap from 5.25 to 6.085 eV.A good correla.ion was observed between the bandgap energy and crystallite size of the nanocrystals which confirmed the size induced effect in the *** transforma.ion in the sample morphology was observed from irregular spherical particles to sepals like shapes with increa.ing the Cu concentra.ion in the host *** energy dispersive X-Ray (EDX) analysis confirmed the purity of mass percentage composition of the elements present in the samples.
