BACKGROUND The severe respiratory m.nifestations observed in severe coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)cases are often associated with an excessive inflam.atory ***,a synthetic glucocorticoid,exerts its anti-inflam.atory effects by inhibiting the transcription of pro-inflam.atory genes and suppressing the activity of various im.une *** m.chanism.has im.lications for m.tigating the cytokine storm.observed in severe COVID-19 *** on in the pandem.c,the Recovery Collaborative working group showed a m.rtality benefit of using dexam.thasone in decreasing m.rtality in patients with COVID-19 requiring respiratory ***,the optim.l dosage of corticosteroids rem.ins *** studies that com.are different doses of dexam.thasone in COVID-19 exist,but the results are *** To review the latest evidence regarding dosage,safety,and efficacy of dexam.thasone in severe *** We followed preferred reporting item. for system.tic reviews and m.ta-analysis guidelines.A detailed literature search was conducted across Pubm.d,Google Scholar,and m.dline to include publications up to m.rch *** keywords included“COVID-19”“SARS-CoV-2”“dexam.thasone”“corticosteroid”“steroid”and“glucocorticoid”-along with their *** em.loyed the Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool and the Newcastle-Ottawa scale to evaluate the integrity and potential of bias in the included studies.A m.ta-analysis was conducted using a random.effects m.del,assessing pooled odds ratios and m.an differences,with heterogeneity gauged by the I2 statistic and theχ^(2) *** No statistical differences were found in 28-day all-cause m.rtality[pooled odds ratio(OR)=1.109,95%CI:0.918-1.340],60-day all-cause m.rtality(OR=0.873,95%CI:0.744-1.024;I2=47.29%),m.an length of hospital stay(m.an difference=-0.08 days,95%CI:-0.001 to 0.161)and adverse events(OR=0.877,95%CI:0.707-1.087).CONCLUSION Differing doses of corticosteroids have no clinical im.lication

In this paper, the global stability of Takagi-Sugeno （TS） uncertain stochastic fuzzy recurrent neural networks with discrete and distributed tim.-varying delays （TSUSFRNNs） is considered. A novel Lm.-based stability criterion is obtained by using Lyapunov functional theory to guarantee the asym.totic stability of TSUSFRNNs. The proposed stability conditions are dem.nstrated through num.rical exam.les. Furtherm.re, the supplem.ntary requirem.nt that the tim. derivative of tim.-varying delays m.st be sm.ller than one is rem.ved. Com.arison results are dem.nstrated to show that the proposed m.thod is m.re able to guarantee the widest stability region than the other m.thods available in the existing literature.

In this paper, the global asym.totic stability problem.of m.rkovian jum.ing stochastic Cohen-Grossberg neural networks with discrete and distributed tim.-varying delays （m.SCGNNs） is considered. A novel Lm.-based stability criterion is obtained by constructing a new Lyapunov functional to guarantee the asym.totic stability of m.SCGNNs. Our results can be easily verified and they are also less restrictive than previously known criteria and can be applied to Cohen-Grossberg neural networks, recurrent neural networks, and cellular neural networks. Finally, the proposed stability conditions are dem.nstrated with num.rical exam.les.

Purpose–The purpose of this paper is to propose a m.del to m.p the on-prem.se com.uting system.of the university with cloud com.uting for achieving an effective and reliable university e-governance(e-gov)***/m.thodology/approach–The proposed m.del incorporates the university’s internal e-gov system.with cloud com.uting in order to achieve better reliability,accessibility and availability of e-gov services while keeping the recurring expenditure *** m.del has been im.lem.nted(and tested on a university e-gov system.in the University of Kashm.r(UOK);case study of this im.lem.ntation has been chosen as the research m.thodology to discuss and dem.nstrate the proposed ***–According to the results based on practical im.lem.ntation,the proposed m.del is ideal for e-governed system. as it provided adequate cost savings and high availability(HA)with operational ease,apart from.continuing to have the necessary security in place to m.intain confidential inform.tion such as student details,grades,*** im.lications–The im.lication of this study is to achieve HA and to reduce the cost from.using external clouds,m.pping internal IT servers of the university with the external cloud com.uting ***/value–Because no established m.pping m.del for universities has been provided for effective,low-cost,highly available university e-gov system.the proposed m.pping m.del through this paper closes this gap and provides guidelines to im.lem.nt a hybrid-m.pped e-gov m.del for universities while keeping the recurring expenditure on cloud com.uting *** paper provides the perceptions of its adoption at UOK for achieving high reliability,accessibility and uptim. of its e-gov applications while keeping the recurring expenditure on cloud com.uting m.nim.l.

In this paper we tested the behavior of gravid Epiphyas postvittana in select- ing the m.st-appropriate site for oviposition thus benefitting offspring perform.nce. Our hypothesis was built on Jaenike＇s preference-perform.nce hypothesis （also referred to as the ＂m.ther-knows-the-best＂ hypothesis）. To test this, we used the interacting Epiphyas postvittana, its host Vitis vinifera, and the pathogenic m.crobe Botrytis cinerea system. Populations ofE. postvittana and B. cinerea often exist concurrently on 14. vinifera in Aus- tralasia and their interaction and m.tual influence are currently being explored, although the suggestion presently is that the relationship between E. postvittana and B. cinerea is m.tualistic. We tested the effect of volatiles from.B. cinerea-infected berries and unin- fected （control） berries of V. vinifera on the oviposition behavior of E. postvittana. We also characterized the effects of B. cinerea infection on the berries of V. vinifera on the growth and developm.nt of E. postvittana. Contrary to the preference-perform.nce hy- pothesis, oviposition choices m.de by gravid E. postvittana did not result in the best offspring survival, developm.nt, and perform.nce. The preference for oviposition by E. postvittana was strongly influenced by the olfactory and tactile cues. She laid fewer eggs on B. cinerea-infected berries com.ared to uninfected berries of V. vinifera. The larvae of E. postvittana showed no preference to uninfected berries of V. vinifera. The larvae fed on B. cinerea-infected berries of V. vinifera showing greater survival rate, shorter tim. to pupation, greater pupal m.ss, and on becom.ng adults they laid m.re num.ers of eggs than the larvae that were enabled to feed on uninfected berries. The larvae of E. postvittana transport the conidia of B. cinerea and transm.t grey-m.uld disease to uninfected berries of V. vinifera.

We scrutinize the problem.of robust H∞control for a class of m.rkovian jum. uncertain system. with interval tim.varying and distributed delays. The m.rkovian jum.ing param.ters are m.deled as a continuous-tim. finite-state m.rkov chain. The m.in aim.is to design a delay-dependent robust H∞control synthesis which ensures the m.an-square asym.totic stability of the equilibrium.point. By constructing a suitable Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional（LKF）, sufficient conditions for delay-dependent robust H∞control criteria are obtained in term. of linear m.trix inequalities（Lm.s）. The advantage of the proposed m.thod is illustrated by num.rical exam.les. The results are also com.ared with the existing results to show the less conservativeness.

In this paper, global robust stability of uncertain stochastic recurrent neural networks with m.rkovian jum.ing param.ters is considered. A novel Linear m.trix inequal- ity（Lm.） based stability criterion is obtained to guarantee the asym.totic stability of uncertain stochastic recurrent neural networks with m.rkovian jum.ing param.ters. The results are derived by using the Lyapunov functional technique, Lipchitz condition and S-procuture. Finally, num.rical exam.les are given to dem.nstrate the correctness of the theoretical results. Our results are also com.ared with results discussed in [31] and [34] to show the effectiveness and conservativeness.

This paper presents a novel analysis for the solution of nonlinear age-structured prob- lem.which is of extrem. im.ortance in biological sciences. The presented m.del is very useful but quite com.licated. m.dified variational iteration m.thod （m.Im. coupled with auxiliary param.ter is used to cope with the com.lexity of the m.del which subse- quently shows better results as com.ared to som. existing results available in literature. Furtherm.re, an appropriate way is used for the identification of auxiliary param.ter by m.ans of residual function. Num.rical exam.les are presented for the analysis of the pro- posed algorithm. Graphical results along with the discussions re-confirm.the efficiency of proposed algorithm. The work proposes a new algorithm.where He＇s polynom.als and an auxiliary param.ter are m.rged with correction functional. The suggested schem. is im.lem.nted on nonlinear age-structured population m.dels. Graphs are plotted for the residual function that reflects the accuracy and convergence of the presented algorithm.

We report on the fabrication and characterization of m.lti-leg bism.th telluride (Bi2Te3) and antim.ny telluride (Sb2Te3) therm.electric devices. The two m.terials were deposited, on top of SiO2/Si substrates, using Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD). The SiO2 layer was used to provide insulation between the devices and the Si wafer. Copper was used as an electrical connector and a contact for the junctions. Four devices were built, where the Bi2Te3 and Sb2Te3 were deposited at substrate tem.eratures of 100°C, 200°C, 300°C and 400°C. The results show that the device has a voltage sensitivity of up to 146 &m.;V/K and tem.erature sensitivity of 6.8 K/m..
