Prostate cancer(PCa)treatment has seen several important developments over the last few decades in the form of improved surgical methods and advanced radiotherapy techniques but androgen deprivation therapy(ADT)still remains the cornerstone of medical management of this common male *** discovery of androgen-dependent nature of PCa about three-quarters of a century ago was a turning point that has since led to the development of various pharmacological agents which rely on the basic principle of hormonal manipulation in the form of ADT to alter disease *** employed for metastatic disease only,ADT for PCa in the current clinical practice finds use multiple stages of the *** present review summarises the chronological evolution of agents used for hormonal manipulation in the management of PCa,highlighting the pros and cons of each and sheds light on the potential future advances in this area.

Development of the new crop cultivars with high yield under low nitrogen （N） input is a fundamental approach to enhance agricultural sustainability, which is dependent on the exploitation of the elite germplasm. In the present study, four barley genotypes （two Tibetan wild and two cultivated）, differing in N use efficiency （NUE）, were characterized for their physiolog- ical and biochemical responses to different N levels. Higher N levels significantly increased the contents of other essential nutrients （P, K, Ca, Fe, Cu and Mn）, and the increase was more obvious for the N-efficient genotypes （ZD9 and XZ149）. The observation of ultrastructure showed that chloroplast structure was severely damaged under low nitrogen, and the two high N efficient genotypes were relatively less affected. The activities of the five N metabolism related enzymes, i.e., nitrate reductase （NR）, glutamine sy＇nthetase （GS）, nitrite reductase （NiR）, glutamate synthase （GOGAT） and glutamate dehydrogenase （GDH） all showed the substantial increase with the increased N level in the culture medium. However the increased extent differed among the four genotypes, with the two N efficient genotypes showing more increase in com- parison with the other two genotypes with relative N inefficiency （HXRL and XZ56）. The current findings showed that a huge difference exists in low N tolerance among barley genotypes, and improvement of some physiological traits （such as enzymes） could be helpful for increasing N utilization efficiency.

In this article Fischer–Tropsch(FT) synthesis was studied over cobalt nanoparticles supported on modifed Montmorillonite(Zr-PILC).Co-loaded/Zr-PILC catalysts were synthesized by hydrothermal methods and were characterized by XRD,XRF,BET,H2-TPR,TGA and SEM *** reactions were carried out in fxed bed microreactor(T 225 1C,260 1C and 275 1C,P 1,5 and 10 bars).The FT-products obtained over Co-loaded/Zr-PILC catalysts showed increased selectivity of C2–C12hydrocarbons and decreased selectivity towards CH4and higher molecular weight hydrocarbons(C21) at a TOS of 2–30 h as compared to the Co-loaded/NaMMT *** increase in reaction temperature from225 1C to 275 1C,CO-conversion and CH4selectivity increases while that of C5+hydrocarbons *** in CH4selectivity while increase in C5+hydrocarbons and CO-conversion were observed on increasing the pressure of reaction.

We present the development of a bias compensating reinforcement learning(RL)algorithm that optimizes thermal comfort(by minimizing tracking error)and control utilization(by penalizing setpoint deviations)in a multi-zone heating,ventilation,and air-conditioning(HVAC)lab facility subject to unmeasurable disturbances and unknown *** is shown that the presence of unmeasurable disturbance results in an inconsistent learning equation in traditional RL controllers leading to parameter estimation bias(even with integral action support),and in the extreme case,the divergence of the learning *** demonstrate this issue by applying the popular Q-learning algorithm to linear quadratic regulation(LQR)of a multi-zone HVAC environment and showing that,even with integral support,the algorithm exhibits bias issue during the learning phase when the HVAC disturbance is unmeasurable due to unknown heat gains,occupancy variations,light sources,and outside weather *** address this difficulty,we present a bias compensating learning equation that learns a lumped bias term as a result of disturbances(and possibly other sources)in conjunction with the optimal control *** results show that the proposed scheme not only recovers the bias-free optimal control parameters but it does so without explicitly learning the dynamic model or estimating the disturbances,demonstrating the effectiveness of the algorithm in addressing the above challenges.

Natural resource management is indispensable keeping in view their positive economic impacts as well as their detrimental environmental *** achieve certain SDGs,it is inevitable to manage natural resources through effective policies that help to inhibit adverse environmental *** on this approach,the current empirical analysis aims to probe whether environmental policy stringency intensifies,meagres,and/or halts the abysmal environmental impact of natural resources in G-7 countries(United Kingdom,United States,Canada,Italy,France,Japan,and Germany)for the period from 1990 to *** that end,we rely on the second-generation panel data approaches and panel quantile *** outcomes reveal that natural resources increase carbon dioxide emission whereas the synergy of natural resources and environmental policy stringency plunges emissions across the *** findings suggest adoption of a strict environmental policy for attaining the targets of SGD-08(economic growth),SDG-09(innovations),SDG-11(sustainable cities),SDG-12(responsible consumption of natural resources),and SDG-13(climate action).

In this paper, synthesis and anticancer activities of morpholine hydrazones scaffold（1-17） thoroughly studied. Small series of morpholine hydrazones synthesized by treating 5-morpholinothiophene-2-carbaldehyde with different aryl hydrazides to form morpholine hydrazones scaffold（1-17）. The in vitro anticancer potential of all these compounds was checked against human cancer cell lines like Hep G2（human hepatocellular liver carcinoma） and MCF-7（human breast adenocarcinoma）. Analogs 13 had similar substantial cytotoxic effects towards Hep G2 with IC_（50） value 6.31±1.03μmmol/L when compared with the standard Doxorubicin（IC_（50）value 6.00±0.80μmmol/L）; while compounds 5,8 and 9 showed potent cytotoxicity against MCF-7 with IC_（50） value 7.08±0.42μmmol/L, 1.26±0.34μmmol/L and11.22±0.22μmmol/L respectively when compared with the standard Tamoxifen（IC_（50）= 11.00±0.40μmol/L）. Molecular docking studies also performed to understand the binding interaction.

Xanthomonas oryzae ***(Xoo),the causal agent of bacterial leaf blight in rice,delivers transcription activator-like effector(TALE)proteins into host cells to activate susceptibility or resistance(R)genes that promote disease or immunity,*** plants serve as potential reservoirs of R genes;consequently,nonhost R genes may trap TALEs to trigger an immune *** this study,we screened 17 Xoo TALEs for their ability to induce a hypersensitive response(HR)in the nonhost plant Nicotiana benthamiana(Nb);only AvrXa10 elicited an HR when transiently expressed in *** HR generated by AvrXa10 required both the central repeat region and the activation domain,suggesting a specific interaction between AvrXa10 and a potential R-like gene in nonhost *** blue staining and ion leakage measurements confirmed that the AvrXa10-triggered HR was a form of cell death,and the transient expression of AvrXa10 in Nb induced immune *** targeted by AvrXa10 in the Nb genome were identified by transcriptome profiling and prediction of effector binding *** several approaches(in vivo reporter assays,electrophoretic mobility-shift assays,targeted designer TALEs,and on-spot gene silencing),we confirmed that AvrXa10 targets NbZnFP1,a C2H2-type zinc finger protein that resides in the *** analysis indicated that overexpression of NbZnFP1 and its rice orthologs triggered cell death in rice *** NbZnFP1 ortholog was also identified in tomato and was specifically activated by *** results demonstrate that NbZnFP1 is a nonhost R gene that traps AvrXa10 to promote plant immunity in Nb.

An interacting scenario for dark energy in a Bianchi type-I universe

We study the interaction between dark energy （DE） and dark matter in the scope of anisotropic Bianchi type-I space-time. First we derive the general form of the DE equation of state （EoS） parameter in both non-interacting and interacting cases and then we examine its future by applying a hyperbolic scale factor. It is shown that in the non-interacting case, depending on the value of the anisotropy parameter K, the DE EoS parameter varies from phantom to quintessence whereas in the interacting case the EoS parameter varies in the quintessence region. However, in both cases, the DE EoS parameter ωde ultimately （i.e. at z ： -1） tends to the cosmological constant （ωde = -1）. Moreover, we fix the cosmological bound on the anisotropy parameter K by using recent observational data about the Hubble parameter.
