Modeling and analysis of thin film flow with respect to magneto hydro dynamical effect has been an important theme in the field of fluid dynamics,due to its vast industrial *** analysis involves studying the behavior and response of governing equations on the basis of various parameters such as thickness of the film,film surface profile,shear stress,liquid velocity,volumetric flux,vorticity,gravity,viscosity among others,along with different boundary *** this article,we extend this analysis in fractional space using a homotopy based scheme,considering the case of a Non-Newtonian Pseudo-Plastic fluid for lifting and drainage on a vertical *** applying similarity transformations,the given problems are reduced to highly non-linear and inhomogeneous ordinary differential ***,fractional differential equations are obtained using basic definitions of fractional *** Homotopy Perturbation Method(HPM),along with fractional calculus is used for obtaining approximate *** quantities such as the velocity profile,volume flux and average velocity respectively for lift and drainage cases have been *** the best of our knowledge,the given problems have not been attempted before in fractional *** and convergence of the obtained solutions are confirmed by finding residual *** a physical perspective,a comprehensive study of the effects of various parameters on the velocity profile is also *** reveals that Stokes number St,non-Newtonian parameterand magnetic parameter M have inverse relationship with fluid velocity in lifting *** the drainage case,Stokes number St and non-Newtonian parameterhave direct relationship with fluid velocity,but magnetic parameter M shows inverse relationship with *** investigation also shows that the fractional parameterhas direct relationship with the fluid velocity in lifting case,while it has inverse relationship with velocity in the

In this work,a numerical scheme is constructed for solving nonlinear parabolictype partial-integro differential *** proposed numerical scheme is based on radial basis functions which are local in nature like finite difference numerical *** radial basis functions are used to approximate the derivatives involved and the integral is approximated by equal width integration *** resultant differentiation matrices are sparse in *** spatial approximation using RBF the partial integro-differential equations reduce to the system of *** ODEs system can be solved by various types of ODE *** proposed numerical scheme is tested and compared with other methods available in literature for different test *** stability and convergence of the present numerical scheme are discussed.

Organic-inorganic lead halide based perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have attracted unprecedented research interest over last *** high performance,combined with merits of low fabrication costs and ease of synthesis make PSCs promising alternate to state of the art silicon(Si)based solar *** r,some inherent shortcomings of PSCs are hindering their market dominance over conventional photovoltaic technologies such as transmission loss of sub-bandgap photons,poor stability and hysteresis ***,use of rare earth(RE)ions doped nanomaterials in PSCs,has been identified as an effective means to address the aforementioned issues by expanding the range of absorption spectra minimizing the non-absorption loss of solar photons,enhancing light scattering and improving operational *** article reviews the recent progress in doping rare-earth(RE)ions in the building blocks of PSCs such as semiconductor electrodes and photoactive perovskite layers,and its use as a separate spectral conversion layer in *** effect of size,shape,constitution and concentration of RE-nanoparticles on the overall performance and device stability will be analyzed in ***,we provide an outlook on the opportunities this newly developed field offers and the critical challenges faced in rationally and effectively using RE-ion-doped nanomaterials in PSCs for better operational stability and enhanced performance.

Evaluation of immunogenicity and reactogenicity of recombinant DNA hepatitis B vaccine produced in India

AIM：（1） To gain information on immune responses to an accelerated schedule of 0, 1, and 2 mo in paramedical staff and BDS students who are at an increased risk of getting hepatitis B infection and come under high risk groups. （2） To assess the efficacy and safety of En/vac- HB in different age groups, using genetically modified yeast strain Pichia pastoris, a new recombinant hepatitis B accine developed and manufactured in India. METHODS： A prospective, comparative, and single blinded trial of rapid （0, 1, and 2 mo） hepatitis B immunization schedulewas reported. A total of three hundred and seven （212 females and 95 males） healthy volunteers divided into three age groups （18-29, 30-39, and 40-49） were enrolled after screening for markers of hepatitis B. All the volunteers received 20 mg of the vaccine intramuscularly at 0, 1, and 2 mo. RESULTS： Geometric mean titers were calculated pre and post vaccination. Before immunization the GMT was 0.0124 mIU/mL. One month after the administration of the third dose of recombinant vaccine 296/307 （96.5%） subjects achieved seroprotective levels of anti-HBs. The geometric mean anti-HBs titers achieved after one month of the third dose was 2 560.0 mIU/mL. The geometric mean anti-HBs titer of males was 2 029.0 mIU/mL, while that of the females was 2 759.0 mIU/mL. In the age group of 18-29 years, anti-HBs titer was 3 025.0 mIU/ mL, while that in the age group of 30-39 years was 2 096.0 mlU/mL. In third age group of 40-49 years, anti- HBs titer was 1 592.0 mIU/mL. Hyper-responses （anti-HBs≥100 mIU/mL） were shown in 88.0% （271/307） of subjects. Eleven （3.5%） subjects responded poorly to the vaccine in the age group of 40-49 years. There was only mild pain at the site of injection otherwise there were no other adverse drug reactions （ADRs）. CONCLUSION： This vaccine （Enivac-HB） is safe and efficacious, providing significant protection after the third dose and rapid hepatitis B immunization schedule of 0, 1, and 2 mo can be recommended

Fractional Processing Based Adaptive Beamforming Algorithm

Fractional order algorithms have shown promising results in various signal processing applications due to their ability to improve performance without significantly increasing *** goal of this work is to inves-tigate the use of fractional order algorithm in the field of adaptive beam-forming,with a focus on improving performance while keeping complexity *** effectiveness of the algorithm will be studied and evaluated in this *** this paper,a fractional order least mean square(FLMS)algorithm is proposed for adaptive beamforming in wireless applications for effective utilization of *** algorithm aims to improve upon existing beam-forming algorithms,which are inefficient in performance,by offering faster convergence,better accuracy,and comparable computational *** FLMS algorithm uses fractional order gradient in addition to the standard ordered gradient in weight *** derivation of the algorithm is provided and supported by mathematical convergence *** is evaluated through simulations using mean square error(MSE)minimization as a metric and compared with the standard LMS algorithm for various *** results,obtained through Matlab simulations,show that the FLMS algorithm outperforms the standard LMS in terms of convergence speed,beampattern accuracy and scatter *** outperforms LMS in terms of convergence speed by 34%.From this,it can be concluded that FLMS is a better candidate for adaptive beamforming and other signal processing applications.

Bed planting of wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)improves nitrogen use efficiency and grain yield compared to flat planting

Conventional flat planting is commonly used for growing wheat in Pakistan and the crop is irrigated by flood irrigation, but it leads to ineffective use of applied nitrogen owing to poor aeration and leaching and volatilization losses. The practice also results in greater crop lodging, lower water use efficiency, and crusting of the soil surface. In contrast, bed planting of wheat not only saves water but improves fertilizer use efficiency and grain yield. Three years of pooled data from the present study showed that wheat planting on beds and nitrogen application at 120 kg ha-1produced 15.06% higher grain yield than flat planting at the same nitrogen rate. Similarly, 25.04%, 15.02%, 14.59%, and 29.83% higher nitrogen uptake, nitrogen use, and agronomic and recovery efficiencies, respectively, were recorded for bed compared to flat planting. Wheat planting on beds with a nitrogen application of80 kg ha-1gave a yield similar to that of flat planting with 120 kg ha-1nitrogen. However,the economic return was 29% higher in bed planting as compared to flat planting, when nitrogen was applied at 120 kg ha-1.

Process monitoring techniques are of paramount importance in the chemical industry to improve both the product quality and plant *** or incipient irregularities may lead to severe degradation in complex chemical processes,and the conventional process monitoring techniques cannot detect these *** this study to improve the performance of monitoring,an online multiscale fault detection approach is proposed by integrating multiscale principal component analysis(MSPCA) with cumulative sum(CUSUM) and exponentially weighted moving average(EWMA) control *** new Hotelling's T~2 and square prediction error(SPE) based fault detection indices are proposed to detect the incipient irregularities in the process *** performance of the proposed fault detection methods was tested for simulated data obtained from the CSTR system and compared to that of conventional PCA and MSPCA based *** results demonstrate that the proposed EWMA based MSPCA fault detection method was successful in detecting the ***,a comparative study shows that the SPEEWMA monitoring index exhibits a better performance with lower values of missed detections ranging from 0% to 0.80% and false alarms ranging from 0% to 21.20%.

Classification of human actions under video surveillance is gaining a lot of attention from computer vision *** this paper,we have presented methodology to recognize human behavior in thin crowd which may be very helpful in *** have mostly focused the problem of human detection in thin crowd,overall behavior of the crowd and actions of individuals in video *** based Human behavior modeling is a complex task as it involves human detection,tracking,classifying normal and abnormal *** proposed methodology takes input video and applies Gaussian based segmentation technique followed by post processing through presenting hole filling algorithm i.e.,fill hole inside objects *** detection is performed by presenting human detection algorithm and then geometrical features from human skeleton are extracted using feature extraction *** classification task is achieved using binary and multi class support vector *** proposed technique is validated through accuracy,precision,recall and F-measure metrics.

Schools' Flood Emergency Preparedness in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan

Pakistan is highly exposed to climate-induced disasters, especially floods. Flooding history shows that educational establishments have been disproportionately hard-hit by flooding events. In Pakistan, school safety and preparedness is still a choice, rather than a mandatory requirement for all schools. But schools in Pakistan do have a responsibility to keep safe the students in their care,especially during and after the catastrophic events. This implies the need to maintain the environment in and around school property, so as to minimize the impacts of floods and to have the mechanisms in place to maximize a school's resilience. This study examined the emergency preparedness activities of 20 schools in four districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province that had recently been severely affected by floods. Through face to face interviews and a structured questionnaire(n = 100) we collected data on the four pillars of emergency preparedness:emergency planning, preparation measures, safe school facilities, and hazard education and training. The study revealed that the majority of the sample schools hadexperienced more than one natural hazard-induced disaster,predominantly flooding, yet despite this had not undertaken adequate emergency preparedness activities. There are particular gaps with regard to plans for students with disabilities, the continuity of school operations after a disaster,the presence of maps to identify evacuation routes, the availability of emergency equipment and resources, disaster preparedness guidelines, and psychological first aid and crisis counseling. The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities,and threats analysis that our researchers carried out indicates that, although schools in the survey have taken many steps towards flood preparedness, many weaknesses still exist and there remain significant opportunities to strengthen the preparedness level of many schools.
