The World Health Organization has declared the rapidly spreading coronavirus to be a global *** FDA is yet to approve a vaccine for human novel ***,we developed a peptide-based vaccine and used high-throughput screening by molecular dynamics simulation to identify T-cell-and p-cell-recognized epitopes for producing specific antibod-ies against *** construct~12 P'antigenic epitope peptides to develop a more effective vaccine and identify specific *** epitope peptides selectively presented the best antigen presentation scores for both human pMHC class I and II alleles to develop a strong binding *** antigens identified of SARS-nCoV-2 different proteins by each attached specific~1-7 L linker adaptor were used to construct a broad single peripheral peptide *** is expected to be highly antigenic with a minimum allergic *** a result of these exciting outcomes,expressing a vaccine using the intimated peptide was highly promising and positive to be highly proposed as epitope-based peptide vaccine of specific antibody against SARS-nCoV-2 by initiating T cells and β-*** in vitro study for the proposed peptide-based vaccine *** *** clinical trials are required to check the efficacy of this vaccine.

Evaluation of immunogenicity and reactogenicity of recombinant DNA hepatitis B vaccine produced in India

AIM：（1） To gain information on immune responses to an accelerated schedule of 0, 1, and 2 mo in paramedical staff and BDS students who are at an increased risk of getting hepatitis B infection and come under high risk groups. （2） To assess the efficacy and safety of En/vac- HB in different age groups, using genetically modified yeast strain Pichia pastoris, a new recombinant hepatitis B accine developed and manufactured in India. METHODS： A prospective, comparative, and single blinded trial of rapid （0, 1, and 2 mo） hepatitis B immunization schedulewas reported. A total of three hundred and seven （212 females and 95 males） healthy volunteers divided into three age groups （18-29, 30-39, and 40-49） were enrolled after screening for markers of hepatitis B. All the volunteers received 20 mg of the vaccine intramuscularly at 0, 1, and 2 mo. RESULTS： Geometric mean titers were calculated pre and post vaccination. Before immunization the GMT was 0.0124 mIU/mL. One month after the administration of the third dose of recombinant vaccine 296/307 （96.5%） subjects achieved seroprotective levels of anti-HBs. The geometric mean anti-HBs titers achieved after one month of the third dose was 2 560.0 mIU/mL. The geometric mean anti-HBs titer of males was 2 029.0 mIU/mL, while that of the females was 2 759.0 mIU/mL. In the age group of 18-29 years, anti-HBs titer was 3 025.0 mIU/ mL, while that in the age group of 30-39 years was 2 096.0 mlU/mL. In third age group of 40-49 years, anti- HBs titer was 1 592.0 mIU/mL. Hyper-responses （anti-HBs≥100 mIU/mL） were shown in 88.0% （271/307） of subjects. Eleven （3.5%） subjects responded poorly to the vaccine in the age group of 40-49 years. There was only mild pain at the site of injection otherwise there were no other adverse drug reactions （ADRs）. CONCLUSION： This vaccine （Enivac-HB） is safe and efficacious, providing significant protection after the third dose and rapid hepatitis B immunization schedule of 0, 1, and 2 mo can be recommended

Fiber Loading of Date Palm and Kenaf Reinforced Epoxy Composites:Tensile,Impact and Morphological Properties

Date palm fiber(DPF)and kenaf fiber were reinforced in epoxy having various fiber loading 40%,50%,and 60%by *** hybrid samples were manufactured by hot press technique and then characterized for tensile,impact,and morphological behavior to evaluate the ratio of fibers in the hybrid composites;the addition of kenaf improved the tensile properties,Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM)revealed the interfacial bonding of fiber/matrix,and dispersion and void content in *** test studies reflected the effect of natural fiber with epoxy,level of stress transfer from matrix to reinforced material,and reinforced material’s role in absorbing the *** showed that 50%of DPF had the best shock-absorbing *** obtained results indicated that 30%DPF in hybrid composite showed improved tensile properties and homogeneous distribution of fiber without void content;however,50%DPF loading in hybrid composites had the best impact properties.

Drainage Network and Lineament Analysis:An Approach for Potwar Plateau(Northern Pakistan)

Drainage responds rapidly to tectonic changes and thus it is a potential parameter for teetonogeomorphological analysis. Drainage network of Potwar is a good geological record of movement, displacements, regional uplifts and erosion of the tectonic units. This study focuses on utilizing drainage network extracted from Shuttle Radar Digital Elevation Data （SRTM-DEM） in order to constrain the structure of the Potwar Plateau. SWAN syncline divides Potwar into northern Potwar deformed zone （NPDZ） and southern Potwar platform zone （SPPZ）. We extracted the drainage network from DEM and analyzed 112 streams using stream power law. Spatial distribution of concavity and steepness indices were used to prepare uplift rate map for the area. DEM was further utilized to extract lineaments to study the mutual relationship between lineaments and drainage patterns. We compared the local correlation between the extracted lineaments and drainage network of the area that gives us quantitative information and shows promising prospects. The streams in the NPDZ indicate high steepness values as compared to the streams in the SPPZ. The spatial distribution of geomorphic parameters distinctive deformation and uplift rates suggest the among eastern, central and western parts. The local correlation between drainage network and lineaments from DEM is strongly positive in the area within I km of radius.

Modified Anam-Net Based Lightweight Deep Learning Model for Retinal Vessel Segmentation

The accurate segmentation of retinal vessels is a challenging taskdue to the presence of various pathologies as well as the low-contrast ofthin vessels and non-uniform illumination. In recent years, encoder-decodernetworks have achieved outstanding performance in retinal vessel segmentation at the cost of high computational complexity. To address the aforementioned challenges and to reduce the computational complexity, we proposea lightweight convolutional neural network (CNN)-based encoder-decoderdeep learning model for accurate retinal vessels segmentation. The proposeddeep learning model consists of encoder-decoder architecture along withbottleneck layers that consist of depth-wise squeezing, followed by fullconvolution, and finally depth-wise stretching. The inspiration for the proposed model is taken from the recently developed Anam-Net model, whichwas tested on CT images for COVID-19 identification. For our lightweightmodel, we used a stack of two 3 × 3 convolution layers (without spatialpooling in between) instead of a single 3 × 3 convolution layer as proposedin Anam-Net to increase the receptive field and to reduce the trainableparameters. The proposed method includes fewer filters in all convolutionallayers than the original Anam-Net and does not have an increasing numberof filters for decreasing resolution. These modifications do not compromiseon the segmentation accuracy, but they do make the architecture significantlylighter in terms of the number of trainable parameters and computation *** proposed architecture has comparatively fewer parameters (1.01M) thanAnam-Net (4.47M), U-Net (31.05M), SegNet (29.50M), and most of the otherrecent works. The proposed model does not require any problem-specificpre- or post-processing, nor does it rely on handcrafted features. In addition,the attribute of being efficient in terms of segmentation accuracy as well aslightweight makes the proposed method a suitable candidate to be used in thescreening platforms at

Refined Anam-Net:Lightweight Deep Learning Model for Improved Segmentation Performance of Optic Cup and Disc for Glaucoma Diagnosis

In this work,we aim to introduce some modifications to the Anam-Net deep neural network(DNN)model for segmenting optic cup(OC)and optic disc(OD)in retinal fundus images to estimate the cup-to-disc ratio(CDR).The CDR is a reliable measure for the early diagnosis of *** this study,we developed a lightweight DNN model for OC and OD segmentation in retinal fundus *** DNN model is based on modifications to Anam-Net,incorporating an anamorphic depth embedding *** reduce computational complexity,we employ a fixed filter size for all convolution layers in the encoder and decoder stages as the network *** modification significantly reduces the number of trainable parameters,making the model lightweight and suitable for resource-constrained *** evaluate the performance of the developed model using two publicly available retinal image databases,namely RIM-ONE and *** results demonstrate promising OC segmentation performance across most standard evaluation metrics while achieving analogous results for OD *** used two retinal fundus image databases named RIM-ONE and Drishti-GS that contained 159 images and 101 retinal images,*** OD segmentation using the RIM-ONE we obtain an f1-score(F1),Jaccard coefficient(JC),and overlapping error(OE)of 0.950,0.9219,and 0.0781,***,for OC segmentation using the same databases,we achieve scores of 0.8481(F1),0.7428(JC),and 0.2572(OE).Based on these experimental results and the significantly lower number of trainable parameters,we conclude that the developed model is highly suitable for the early diagnosis of glaucoma by accurately estimating the CDR.

Suppression of methane formation during Fisher-Tropsch synthesis using manganese-cobalt oxide supported on H-5A zeolite as a catalyst

In Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction, methane formation is one of the side reactions which must be suppressed in order to get better catalytic selectivity for light olefins. In the present study, we have modified cobalt based Fischer-Tropsch catalyst and developed a process to minimize methane production, consequently to produce maximum yield of light olefins. Manganese-cobalt oxide supported on H-5A zeolite catalyst was synthesized using modified H-5A zeolite, to increase its surface acid sites. Increased acidity of zeolite plays a major part in the suppression of methane formation during the Fischer-Tropsch reaction. The modified zeolite results in the electronic modification of catalyst surface by creating new active catalytic sites. The results are compared with other supported catalysts along with unmodified zeolite. Appreciable reduction in methane formation is achieved on modified zeolite supported catalyst in comparison with unsupported catalyst.

Fractional Processing Based Adaptive Beamforming Algorithm

Fractional order algorithms have shown promising results in various signal processing applications due to their ability to improve performance without significantly increasing *** goal of this work is to inves-tigate the use of fractional order algorithm in the field of adaptive beam-forming,with a focus on improving performance while keeping complexity *** effectiveness of the algorithm will be studied and evaluated in this *** this paper,a fractional order least mean square(FLMS)algorithm is proposed for adaptive beamforming in wireless applications for effective utilization of *** algorithm aims to improve upon existing beam-forming algorithms,which are inefficient in performance,by offering faster convergence,better accuracy,and comparable computational *** FLMS algorithm uses fractional order gradient in addition to the standard ordered gradient in weight *** derivation of the algorithm is provided and supported by mathematical convergence *** is evaluated through simulations using mean square error(MSE)minimization as a metric and compared with the standard LMS algorithm for various *** results,obtained through Matlab simulations,show that the FLMS algorithm outperforms the standard LMS in terms of convergence speed,beampattern accuracy and scatter *** outperforms LMS in terms of convergence speed by 34%.From this,it can be concluded that FLMS is a better candidate for adaptive beamforming and other signal processing applications.
