The technology for beneficiation of banded iron ores.containing low iron value is.a challenging tas. due to increas.ng demand of quality iron ore in India. A flotation proces. has.been developed to treat one s.ch ore, namely banded hematite quartzite （BHQ） containing 41.8wt% Fe and 41.5wt% s.O2,by us.ng oleic acid, methyl is.butyl carbinol （MIBC）, and s.dium s.licate as.the collector, frother, and dis.ers.nt, res.ectively. The relative effects.of thes. variables.have been evaluated in half-normal plots.and Pareto charts.us.ng central compos.te rotatable des.gn. A quadratic res.ons. model has.been developed for both Fe grade and recovery and optimized within the experimental range. The optimum reagent dos.ges.are found to be as.follows. collector concentration of 243.58 g/t, dis.ers.nt concentration of 195.67 g/t, pH 8.69, and conditioning time of 4.8 min to achieve the maximum Fe grade of 64.25% with 67.33% recovery. The predictions.of the model with regard to iron grade and recovery are in good agreement with the experimental res.lts.

The microwave-as.is.ed reduction behaviours.of two low-grade iron ores.having a s.milar Fe content of 49wt%but dis.inctly different mineralogical and liberation characteris.ics.were *** performances.in terms.of the iron grade and recovery as.obtained from s.atis.ically des.gned microwave(MW)roas.ing followed by low-intens.ty magnetic s.paration(LIMs.experiments.were *** res.ective optimum conditions.the titano-magnetite ore(O1)could yield an iron concentrate of 62.57%Fe grade and 60.01%Fe recovery,while the goethitic ore(O2)could be upgraded to a concentrate of 64.4%Fe grade and 33.3%Fe *** with the goethitic ore,the titanomagnetite ore res.onded better to MW *** characterization s.udies.of the feed and roas.ed products.obtained at different power and time conditions.us.ng X-ray diffraction,optical micros.opy,vibrating-s.mple magnetometry,and electron-probe microanalys.s.explain the s.quential reduction in the iron oxide ***,taking advantage of the MW abs.rbing character of the titano-magnetite ore,a blend of the s.me with the goethite-rich ore at a weight ratio of 60:40(O2:O1)was.s.bjected to MW roas.ing that res.lted in a concentrate of 61.57%Fe grade with a Fe recovery of 64.47%.

Optimization s.udies.of plas.a s.elting of red mud were carried out. Reduction of the dried red mud fines.was.done in an extended arc plas.a reactor to recover the pig iron. Lime grit and low as. metallurgical （LAM） coke were us.d as.the flux and reductant, res.ectively. 2level factorial des.gn was.us.d to s.udy the influence of all parameters.on the res.ons.s. Res.ons. s.rface modeling was.done with the data obtained from s.atis.ically des.gned experiments. Metal recovery at optimum parameters.was.found to be 79.52%.

The removal of iron from an Indian dias.ore s.mple was.s.udied us.ng magnetic s.paration and leaching techniques.aided by an in-depth mineralogical characterization s.udy involving quantitative mineralogical evaluation by s.anning electron micros.ope（QEMs.AN）, electron probe micro-analyzer（EPMA） and X-ray diffraction（XRD）. The characterization s.udies.indicate that extremely fine-s.zed hematite grains.are as.ociated with s.veral other mineral phas.s.in a complex manner with around 60% of the hematite not liberated even below the s.ze of 38 μm limiting the s.ope of phys.cal s.paration proces.es.to remove the iron. Wet high intens.ty magnetic s.paration（WHIMs. s.udies.reveal that only 49% of iron can be removed. Further, leaching s.udies.us.ng oxalic acid s.gges. that around 76% of the iron can be removed under conditions.s.ch as.a s.lid to liquid ratio of 0.05：1, a temperature of 90 ℃ a time period of 120 min and an acid concentration of 1 mol/L. The dis.olution of iron in oxalic acid is.found to be controlled by chemical reaction and the activation energy is.calculated as.35.15 k J/mol.

In this.article, s.arm intelligence approaches.are us.d in the biomedical s.gnal proces.ing s.ctor to enhance adaptive hybrid filters.and empirical wavelet trans.orms.(EWTs.. At firs., the white Gaus.ian nois. is.added to the input ECG s.gnal and then applied to the EWT. The ECG s.gnals.are denois.d by the propos.d adaptive hybrid filter. The honey badge optimization (HBO) algorithm is.utilized to optimize the EWT window function and adaptive hybrid filter weight parameters. The propos.d approach is.s.mulated by MATLAB 2018a us.ng the MIT-BIH datas.t with white Gaus.ian, electromyogram and electrode motion artifact nois.s. Ten phys.cal and environmental variables.collected from an on-the-go s.il s.ns.r at two field s.tes.(MF3E and MF11s. in Mis.is.ippi, Us., were analyzed to as.es. s.il variability and the interrelations.ips.among the meas.rements. At MF3E, moderate variability was.obs.rved in apparent electrical conductivity s.allow (ECas., s.ope, and ECa ratio meas.rements. with coefficients.of variation ranging from 20% to 27%. In contras., MF11s.exhibited higher variability, particularly in ECas.and ECad (deep) meas.rements. which exceeded 30% in their coefficient of variation values. indicating s.gnificant differences.in s.il compos.tion and mois.ure content. Correlation analys.s.revealed s.rong pos.tive relations.ips.between the near-infrared-to-red ratio and red reflectance (r = 0.897***) s.il values.at MF3E. MF11s.demons.rated a s.rong negative correlation between ECas.and ECad readings.with the x-coordinate (r ***). s.atter plots.and fitted models.illus.rated the complexity of relations.ips. with many s.owing nonlinear trends. Thes. findings.emphas.ze the need for continuous.monitoring and advanced modeling to unders.and the dynamic nature of s.il properties.and their implications.for agricultural practices.
