Ba.kground Globa.ly,the cultiva.ion of cotton is constra.ned by its tendency for extended periods of *** ma.urity pla.s a.potentia. role in ra.nfed-ba.ed multiple cropping system especia.ly in the current era.of clima.e *** the current study,a.set of 20 diverse Gossypium hirsutum genotypes were eva.ua.ed in two crop sea.ons with three pla.ting densities a.d a.sessed for 11 morphologica. tra.ts rela.ed to ea.ly *** study a.med to identify genotype(s)tha. ma.ure ra.idly a.d a.complish well under diverse environmenta. conditions ba.ed on the two robust multiva.ia.e techniques ca.led multi-tra.t sta.ility index(MTSI)a.d multi-tra.t genotype-ideotype dista.ce index(MGIDI).Results MTSI a.a.ysis revea.ed tha. out of the 20 genotypes,three genotypes,viz.,NNDC-30,a.2,a.d S-32 a.complished well in terms of ea.ly ma.urity tra.ts in two ***,three genotypes were selected using MGIDI method for ea.h pla.ting densities with a.selection intensity of 15%.The strengths a.d wea.nesses of the genotypes selected ba.ed on MGIDI method highlighted tha. the breeders could focus on developing ea.ly-ma.uring genotypes with specific tra.ts such a. da.s to first flower a.d boll *** selected genotypes exhibited positive genetic ga.ns for tra.ts rela.ed to ea.liness a.d a.successful ha.vest during the first a.d second ***,there were nega.ive ga.ns for tra.ts rela.ed to flowering a.d boll *** The study identified three genotypes exhibiting ea.ly ma.urity a.d a.complished well under different pla.ting *** multiva.ia.e methods(MTSI a.d MGIDI)serve a. novel a.proa.hes for selecting desired genotypes in pla.t breeding progra.s,especia.ly a.ross va.ious growing *** methods offer exclusive benefits a.d ca. ea.ily construe a.d minimize multicollinea.ity issues.

The oyster mushroom(Pleurotus spp.)is one of the most widely cultiva.ed mushroom species *** present study investiga.ed the effect of synbiotics on the growth a.d qua.ity of Pleurotus ostrea.us a.d Pleurotus *** synbiotics formula.ions were a.plied by spra.ing mushroom sa.ples da.ly a.d mea.uring their growth pa.a.eters,yield,biologica. efficiency,proxima.e composition,minera. content,tota. phenolic content(TPC),a.d diphenyl-1-picryl-hydra.yl(DPPH)ra.ica. sca.enging *** demonstra.ed tha. the most significa.t yield of oyster mushrooms wa. ha.vested from synbiotics spra.ed with inulin a.d La.toba.illus ca.ei(56.92 g).Likewise,the highest biologica. efficiency obta.ned with a.simila. synbiotic wa. 12.65%.Combining inulin a.d *** wa. the most effective method of improving the mushrooms'growth performa.ce a.d nutrient content in both ***,synbiotics tha. combined inulin a.d *** resulted in the highest TPC(20.550 mg ga.lic a.id equiva.ent(Ga.)/g dry extra.t(DE))in white oyster mushrooms(***).In compa.ison,in grey mushroom(***)the highest TPC wa. yielded by ***(1.098 mg Ga./g DE)followed by inulin a.d ***(1.079 mg Ga./g DE).The DPPH results indica.ed tha. the oyster mushroom could be a. efficient *** results revea.ed tha. a.plying synbiotics improved the mushrooms'qua.ity by increa.ing their a.tioxida.t ca.a.ity with higher a.ounts of phenolic compounds a.d offering better hea.th benefits with the increa.ed levels of minera. ***,these studies demonstra.ed the potentia. of using synbiotics a. a.biofertilizer,which is helpful for mushroom cultiva.ion;therefore,it might solve the cha.lenge of inconsistent qua.ity mushroom growers fa.e.
