The grid-connected or standalone PV central inverter architecture is comprised of several PV modules which are connected in different ways to form the PV *** power generation capability of the PV array is primarily affected by partial shading conditions(PSC).Due to PSCs,the power output of the PV array is dramatically reduced,and mismatching losses are induced in the PV *** on the extent of these problems,multiple peaks also appear in the power-voltage(P-V)curve,which makes it very difficult to track the global maximum power point(GMPP).The main objective of this research paper is to model and simulate the series(S),series-parallel(SP),bridge-link(BL),honey-comb(HC),total-cross-tied(TCT)and proposed triple-tied(TT)solar PV array configurations under various partial shading *** performance of all PV configurations is evaluated under a uniform approach,considering eight different shading *** performance of the considered PV configurations is analyzed in terms of their mismatching power losses,fill factors,efficiency,global maximum power points(GMPPs),local maximum power points(LMPPs),voltages and currents at GMPPs,open circuit voltage and short circuit *** above-mentioned PV configurations are modeled and simulated in a Matlab/Simulink environment by considering the KC-200GT module parameters.

Maximum power extraction from the photovoltaic(PV) system plays a critical role in increasing efficiency duringpartial shading conditions (PSCs). It directly reduces the outputpower of the PV array. There are different factors, such as bypassdiode configuration, array size, array configuration, shade intensity, environmental conditions etc., affecting the performance ofthe solar photovoltaic panel. Furthermore, series (S), parallel (P),series-parallel (SP), total-cross-tied (TCT), bridge-linked (BL),and honey-comb (HC), etc., are the various configurations to dealwith the mentioned issues. But these PV array configurations alsohave drawbacks, such as low dispersion factor, mismatch losses,and line losses under partial shading conditions. To overcomethese issues, the reconfiguration of the PV array is one of theeffective approaches. A comprehensive study of literature showsthat PV modules are connected under different reconfiguredschemes namely Sudoku, Optimal Sudoku, Magic square, zigzag, Skyscraper, etc. In this paper, a comprehensive review isperformed to highlight the advantages and limitations of eachscheme. This study can be used to address the advancementin this area since some parameter comparisons are made at theend of every technique, which might be a prominent base-rule forpicking the most promising reconfiguration technique for furtherresearch.

A signifcant challenge in the progress and development of Building-Integrated-Photovoltaic(B-I-PV)systems is concerned with the extraction of maximum power from PV *** PV system archtecture is an essential feature to extract the maximum *** conventional PV-centralinverter architecture consists of various connections among the PV modules,which are sensitive to shading effects and pro-duces mismatching power loss under partial shading conditions(PSCs),Hence,photovoltaic-distributed-maximum power point tracking(PV-D-MPPT)architecture has been proposed to extract the maximum ***-1 D-MPPT architecture,the output terminals of DC-DC converters are connected either in series or parallel *** main limitation of the series configuration in open-loop MPPT control is the crosscoupling *** of cross-coupling effects,the maximum-power-point(M-P-P)operation of shaded PV modules is lost under *** lost in M-P-P operation of shaded PV module also affects the unshaded modules M-P-P *** crosscoupling ffeets,the DC-DC converters are consuming the power instead of delivering to the *** the research activity,there are hardly any papers presenting a clear,comprehensive and mathematical analysis on the existence of cross-couplings in PV string-integrated-converters(S-1-Cs).This article presents a mathematical analysis and also explains the conditions for the existent of cross-coupling *** experimental results also validate with the mathematically analysed *** article also discusses the modeling of the two-diode model of PV module,design of boost type S-1C,and the Perturb and Observe(P&O)MPPT algorithm implementation.

As hydropower development expands across lowland tropical forests,flooding and concomitant insular fragmentation have become important threats to *** created insular landscapes serve as natural laboratories to investigate biodiversity responses to *** of these most iconic landscapes is the Balbina Hydroelectric Reservoir in Brazilian Amazonia,occupying>400000 ha and comprising>3500 forest ***,we synthesise the current knowledge on responses of a wide range of biological groups to insular fragmentation at *** has largely concentrated on a set of 22 islands and three mainland *** total,39 studies were conducted over nearly two decades,covering 17 vertebrate,invertebrate,and plant *** species responses varied according to taxonomic group,island area was consistently included and played a pivotal role in 66.7%of all studies examining patterns of species *** persistence was further affected by species traits,mostly related to species capacity to use/traverse the aquatic matrix or tolerate habitat degradation,as noted for species of vertebrates and orchid *** research is needed to improve our understanding of such effects on wider ecosystem *** Impact Assessments must account for changes in both the remaining habitat amount and configuration,and subsequent long-term species losses.

In recent years,modern metropolitan areas are the main indicators of economic growth of *** metropolitan areas,number and frequency of vehicles have increased tremendously,and they create issues,like traffic congestion,accidents,environmental pollution,economical losses and unnecessary waste of *** this paper,we propose traffic management system based on the prediction information to reduce the above mentioned issues in a metropolitan *** proposed traffic management system makes use of static and mobile agents,where the static agent available at region creates and dispatches mobile agents to zones in a metropolitan *** migrated mobile agents use emergent intelligence technique to collect and share traffic flow parameters(speed and density),historical data,resource information,spatio-temporal data and so on,and are analyzes the static *** emergent intelligence technique at static agent uses analyzed,historical and spatio-temporal data for monitoring and predicting the expected patterns of traffic density(commuters and vehicles)and travel times in each zone and *** static agent optimizes predicted and analyzed data for choosing optimal routes to divert the traffic,in order to ensure smooth traffic flow and reduce frequency of occurrence of traffic congestion,reduce traffic density and travel *** performance analysis is performed in realistic scenario by integrating NS2,SUMO,OpenStreatMap(OSM)and MOVE *** effectiveness of the proposed approach has been compared with the existing approach.

Engineering biomolecular systems: Controlling the self-assembly of gelatin to form ultra-small bioactive nanomaterials

The size of nanocarriers determines the biological property of the materials, especially as it relates to intratumoral distribution. Previous research has shown that sizes of 10-50 nm penetrate deep inside the tumor, resulting in better efficacy. On the other hand, studies have shown that gelatin exhibits excellent biological properties, including compatibility, degradability, and toxicity. Therefore, FDA approved gelatin as a safe material to use as an excipient in injectables. The bottleneck is the nonexistence of smaller-sized gelatin nanoparticles (GNPs) to realize the full potential of these biomaterials. Yet, GNPs with sizes of less than 50 nm have not been reported;the synthetic strategy reported in the literature uses “uncontrolled crosslinking coupled with nanoprecipitation”, resulting in larger particle size. We have developed a new method to self-assemble gelatin strands by using an anionic, phosphate-based crosslinker and controlled precipitation. The method we developed produced ultra-small gelatin nanoparticles (GX) of size 10 nm with a high degree of reproducibility, and it was characterized using dynamic light scattering (DLS), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), High-resolution transmission, and scanning electron microscopy (HR-TEM/STEM). We also explored GX as a bioactive platform to encapsulate imaging and therapy agents within the cavity. Interestingly, we were able to encapsulate 2 nm size gold nanoparticles within the void of GX. The versatile nature of the GX particles was further demonstrated by surface functionalizing with larger size gelatin nanoparticles to form core-satellite nanocomposites. Additionally, we studied the tumor penetrability of dye-tagged 10, 50, and 200 nm gelatin nanoparticles. The study showed that smaller size gelatin nanoparticles penetrate deeper tumor regions than larger particles. In general, GX was efficient in penetrating the inner region of the spheroids. During the modernization or rehabilitation activity,the demolished structural waste causes large soil pollution and unavailability of natural aggregate is the big concern for the construction ***,this manuscript deals with the Composite Steel Circular Column(CSCC)with Recycled Aggregate concrete(raC)as infill is partly used,with the replacement of 25%and 50%in M30 grade of *** internal reinforcement steel is fully replaced by rolled steel tubes(circular and square)with varied thickness,ISA-unequal *** 14 specimens are cast and examined under axial load for analysis of the deflection characteristics,the load-bearing capacity along with its buckling *** experimental values are estimated through LVDT(linear variable differential transducer)at *** curve of load-deflection is drawn with the load *** the date interpretation,it is found column made of 50%-raC has more than 25%-raC.

The present study aims to obtain p-y curves(Winkler spring properties for lateral pile-soil interaction)for liquefied soil from 12 comprehensive centrifuge test cases where pile groups were embedded in liquefiable *** p-y curve for fully liquefied soil is back-calculated from the dynamic centrifuge test data using a numerical procedure from the recorded soil response and strain records from the instrumented *** p-y curves were obtained for two ground conditions:(a)lateral spreading of liquefied soil,and(b)liquefied soil in level *** ground conditions are simulated in the model by having collapsing and non-collapsing intermittent boundaries,which are modelled as quay *** p-y curves back-calculated from the centrifuge tests are compared with representative reduced API p-y curves for liquefied soils(known as p-multiplier).The response of p-y curves at full liquefaction is presented and critical observations of lateral pile-soil interaction are *** on the results of these model tests,guidance for the construction of p-y curves for use in engineering practice is also provided.
