作为一项非常有前景的技术,正交频分复用(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing,OFDM)解决了频谱分配中的带宽不足问题,引领了无线移动通信领域的发展。然而,多普勒频移和本地振荡器频率同步误差的存在会导致载波间干扰(inter carrier interference,ICI),严重影响了正交频分复用。以往文献中提出了许多ICI消除技术,例如自消除法(self-cancellation,SC),最大似然估计法(maximum likelihood estimation,MLE)和加窗法,但需要在带宽冗余和系统复杂度之间权衡。本文基于接收端循环前缀(cyclic prefix,CP)再利用,提出了一种节能且具有有效带宽的新技术来消除ICI。自消除法和最大似然估计法在发送端发送整个OFDM符号数据时会产生冗余,而本文提出的技术仅使用循环前缀数据(仅占总符号带宽的20%)来估计信道,产生与前两者类似结果的同时节省了大量带宽。仿真结果表明,该技术在误差性能方面有显著的改进;并且在实现高带宽增益的同时,能效也得到了实质性的改善。因此,该技术优于传统ICI消除技术。

In a competitive and deregulated power scenario, the utilities try to maintain their real electric power generation in balance with the load demand, which creates a need for the precise real time generation scheduling （GS）. In this paper, the GS problem is solved to perform the unit commitment （UC） based on frequency prediction by using artificial neural network （ANN） with the objective to minimize the overall system cost of the state utility. The introduction of availability-based tariff （ABT） signifies the importance of frequency in GS. Under- prediction or over-prediction will result in an unnecessary commitment of generating units or buying power from central generating units at a higher cost. Therefore, an accurate frequency prediction is the first step toward optimal GS. The dependency of frequency on various parameters such as actual generation, load demand, wind power and power deficit has been considered in this paper. The proposed technique provides a reliable solution for the input parameter different from the one presented in the training data. The performance of the frequency predictor model has been evaluated based on the absolute percentage error （APE） and the mean absolute percentage error （MAPE）. The proposed predicted frequency sensitive GS model is applied to the system of Indian state of Tamilnadu, which reduces the overall system cost of the state utility by keeping off the dearer units selected based on the predicted frequency.

Orthogonal Frequency Division Mtfltiplexing (OFDM)is the most preferred and widely used multiplexing tech- nique in current wireless environment for sidelining the spectrum scarcity problem by splitting a signal into N signals and subsequently modulating them through several orthogonal subcarriers (which bears high frequency). With several great features,OFDM is severely affected by undesirable affects of frequency offset errors and Local Oscillator (LO)frequency synchronization *** paper proposes an approach that devises a new hybrid technique,which is a combination of Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE)and Self Cancellation (SC)techniques through wavelet implication,to enhance BER performance of the OFDM system.A comparative analysis of SC,MILE,and wavelet-based hybrid InterCarrier Interference (ICI)cancellation techniques was conducted using 64-QAM and differential offset (0.02 and 0.01)for differential data bits (4 Mb and 16 Mb)to justify the outstanding *** simulation results showed a significant byte-error-rate improvement over different legacy techniques based on fast Fourier transform.

This editorial discusses a case-control study by Ibrahim et al,published in the recent issue of the World Journal of Clinical *** bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory respiratory *** was found that an increase in oxidative stress leads to a decrease in antioxidants causing oxidative damage to mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes resulting in the inflammation of the airway,hypersecretion of mucus causing a cascade of clinical manifestations ranging from recurrent episodes of coughing,wheezing,and breathlessness to shortness of *** oxidative stress mediates the inflammatory response in asthma,the supplementation of anti-oxidants can be one strategy to manage this *** is one such antioxidant that has attracted much attention about asthma and airway *** is a crucial trace element for human metabolism that helps to regulate gene expression,enzyme activity,and protein *** from zinc,free serum ferritin levels are also elevated in case of *** previous studies found that ferritin levels may also help determine the pathology of disease and predict prognosis in addition to tracking disease ***,this study's results were different from the findings of the previous studies and the zinc levels did not show a significant difference between asthmatic children and non-asthmatic children but ferritin levels were significantly high in asthmatic children as compared to the ***,the possible role of the biochemical nutritional assessment including zinc and ferritin as biomarkers for asthma severity should be assessed in the future.

Genus Prunus comprising around 430 species is a vast important genus of family Rosaceae, subfamily amygdalaoidae. Among all 430 species, around 19 important species are commonly found in Indian subcontinent due to their broad nutritional and economic importance. Some most common species of genus Prunus are Prunus amygdalus, Prunus persica, Prunus armeniaca, Prunus avium, Prunus cerasus, Prunus cerasoides, Prunus domestica, Prunus mahaleb, etc. A newly introduced species of Prunus i.e Prunus sunhangii is recently discovered which is morphologically very similar to Prunus cerasoides. Plants of Prunus species are short to medium-sized deciduous trees mainly found in the northern hemisphere. In India and its subcontinent,it extends from the Himalayas to Sikkim, Meghalaya,Bhutan, Myanmar etc. Different Prunus species have been extensively studied for their morphological,microscopic, pharmacological and phytoconstituents characteristics. Total phenolic content of Prunus species explains the presence of phenols in high quantity and pharmacological activity due to phenols. Phytochemical screening of species of genus Prunus shows the presence of wide phytoconstituents which contributes in their pharmacological significance and reveals the therapeutic potential and traditional medicinal significance of this genus. Genus Prunus showed a potent antioxidant activity analyzed by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl radical assay. Plant species belonging to the genus Prunus is widely used traditionally for the treatment of various disorders. Some specific Prunus species possess potent anticancer, anti-inflammatory,hypoglycemic etc. activity which makes the genus more interesting for further research and findings. This review is an attempt to summarize the comprehensive study of Prunus species from its distribution, morphological characters to phytoconstituents, and pharmacological activity.

Location prediction in social media， a growing research field， employs machine learning to identify users’ locations from their online activities. This technology， useful in targeted advertising and urban planning， relies on natural language processing to analyze social media content and understand the temporal dynamics and structures of social networks. A key application is predicting a Twitter user’s location from their tweets， which can be challenging due to the short and unstructured nature of tweet text. To address this challenge， the research introduces a novel machine learning model called the location-aware attention LSTM (LAA-LSTM). This hybrid model combines a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network with an attention mechanism. The LSTM is trained on a dataset of tweets， and the attention network focuses on extracting features related to latitude and longitude， which are crucial for pinpointing the location of a user’s tweet. The result analysis shows approx. 10% improvement in accuracy over other existing machine learning approaches.
