Applications of a novel curve-fitting technique are presented to efficiently predict the motion of the vortex filament, which is trailed from a rigid body such as wings and rotors. The gov- erning equations of the motion, when a Lagrangian approach with the present curve-fitting method is applied, can be transformed into an easily solvable form of the system of nonlinear ordinary dif- ferential equations. The applicability of Bezier curves, B-spline, and Lagrange interpolating polyno- mials is investigated. Local Lagrange interpolating polynomials with a shift operator are proposed as the best selection for applications, since it provides superior system characteristics with minimum computing time, compared to other methods. In addition, the Gauss quadrature formula with local refinement strategy has been developed for an accurate prediction of the induced velocity computed with the line integration of the Biot-Savart law. Rotary-wing problems including a vortex ring problem are analyzed to show the efficiency, accuracy, and flexibility in the applications of the pro- posed method.

Porous FeS nanofibers with numerous nanovoids for use as anode materials for sodium-ion batteries were prepared by electrospinning and subsequent sulfidation. The post-treatment of the as-spun Fe（acac）3-polyacrylonitrile composite nanofibers in an air atmosphere yielded hollow Fe2O3 nanofibers due to Ostwald ripening. The ultrafine Fe2O3 nanocrystals formed at the center of the fiber diffused toward the outside of the fiber via Ostwald ripening. On sulfidation, the Fe2O3 hollow nanofibers were transformed into porous FeS nanofibers, which contained numerous nanovoids. The formation of porosity in the FeS nanofibers was driven by nanoscale Kirkendall diffusion. The porous FeS nanofibers were very structurally stable and had superior sodium-ion storage properties compared with the hollow Fe2O3 nanofibers. The discharge capacities of the porous FeS nanofibers for the Ist and 150th cycles at a current density of 500 mA.g-1 were 561 and 592 mA.h-g-1, respectively. The FeS nanofibers had final discharge capacities of 456, 437, 413, 394, 380, and 353 mA-h.g-1 at current densities of 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 5.0 A.g-1, respectively.

As the COVID-19 epidemic spread across the globe,people around the world were advised or mandated to wear masks in public places to prevent its spreading *** some cases,not wearing a mask could result in a *** monitor mask wearing,and to prevent the spread of future epidemics,this study proposes an image recognition system consisting of a camera,an infrared thermal array sensor,and a convolutional neural network trained in mask *** infrared sensor monitors body temperature and displays the results in real-time on a liquid crystal display *** proposed system reduces the inefficiency of traditional object detection by providing training data according to the specific needs of the user and by applying You Only Look Once Version 4(YOLOv4)object detection technology,which experiments show has more efficient training parameters and a higher level of accuracy in object *** datasets are uploaded to the cloud for storage using Google Colaboratory,saving human resources and achieving a high level of efficiency at a low cost.

We often need to identify the colors of such objects as buildings,clothing,photos,and traffic signs in everyday *** people cannot distinguish among such *** study proposes a method to help people,including colorblind people,identify *** establish a platform for color identification that is connected by the Internet of Things(IoT).The Espressif Systems 32(ESP32)single chip is connected to a Wi-Fi communication network to transmit data to the color identification *** system interface is displayed in the form of color code and color name *** speech synthesis module Speech Synthesizer node 6288(SYn6288)is used to broadcast color-related *** there are many color conversion technologies in modern times,or other color recognition methods are not applicable to the guide-blind ***,the authors use the method of reading out color-related information to directly enable colorblind people to conveniently identify the colors of *** experiments:the accuracy of various colors,the accuracy of environmental impact,the comparison of the original sensing experiment and the effect of adding interference light sources,the time required for color sensing to identify various colors,and the interference test results of any color light source,it is proved that the research mentioned in this *** proposed method can not only improve the rate of recognition of the system in different environments,but can also accurately identify a variety of *** platform is integrated with the IoT to allow users to quickly monitor the displayed data.

Indonesia is a producer in the fisheries sector,with production reaching 14.8 million tons in *** production potential of the fisheries sector can be optimally optimized through aquaculture *** of the most important issues in aquaculture management is how to efficiently control the fish pond water *** technology can be applied to support a fish pond aquaculture monitoring system,especially for catfish species(Siluriformes),in real-time and *** of the technologies that can provide this convenience is the *** problem of this study is how to integrate IoT devices with Firebase’s cloud data system to provide reliable and precise data,which makes it easy for fish cultivators to monitor fishpond conditions in real time and *** IoT aquaculture fishpond monitoring use 3 parameters:(1)water temperature;(2)pHwater level;and(3)turbidity level of pond *** devices use temperature sensors,pH sensors,and turbidity sensors,which are integrated with a microcontroller and Wi-Fi *** from sensor readings are sent to the Firebase cloud via theWi-Fi module so that it can be accessed in real time by end users with an Androidbased mobile *** findings are(1)the IoT-based aquaculture monitoring system device has a low error rate in measuring temprature,pH,and turbidity with a percentage of 1.75%,1.94% and 9.78%,***,the total average error of the three components is 4.49%;(2)in cost analysis,IoT-based has a cost-effectiveness of 94.21% compared to labor *** IoT-based aquaculture monitoring system using Firebase can be effectively used as a technology for monitoring fish pond conditions in real-time and remotely for fish cultivators that contribute to providing an IoT-based aquaculture monitoring system that produces valid data,is precise,is easy to implement,and is a low-cost system.

Mitochondria-targeting self-assembled nanoparticles derived from triphenylphosphonium-conjugated cyanostilbene enable site-specific imaging and anticancer drug delivery

Subcellular organelle-specific nanoparticles for simultaneous tumor targeting, imaging, and drug delivery are of enormous interest in cancer therapy. Herein, we report a selective mitochondria-targeting probe 1, which was synthesized by incorporating a triphenyl phosphine with a cyanostilbene and a long alkyl chain moiety. Probe 1 was found to display fluorescence via aggregation-induced emission （AIE）. The low molecular-weight cyanostilbene-based probe 1, with and without an anticancer drug, formed a narrow homogeneous nanorod with ca. 110 nm of length or nanopartides with ca. 20 nm diameter in aqueous media. The self-assembled cyanostilbene nanoparticles （n1） selectively accumulated in the mitochondria of cancer cells and emitted fluorescence. n1 was also able to deliver an anticancer drug, doxorubicin （DOX）, to the mitochondria with high efficiency. More importantl~ n1 exhibited highly selective cytotoxicity for cancer cells over normal cells. The great potential applications of this self-assembled nanoparticle to biological systems result from its ability to aggregate in the mitochondria. This aggregation led to a significant increase in the generation of intraceUular reactive oxygen species and to a decrease in the mitochondrial membrane potential in cancer cells. Furthermore, tumor tissue uptake experiments in mice proposed that the self-assembled n1 had the ability to internalize and deliver the anticancer drug into tumor tissues effectively. Moreover, both n1 and nl-encapsulated doxorubicin （n1-DOX） effectively suppressed tumor growth in a xenograft model in vivo. Taken together, our findings indicate that applications of n1 as a mitochondrial targeting probe, drug delivery platform, and chemotherapeutic agent provide a unique strategy for potential image-guided therapy as well as a site-specific delivery system to cancer cells.
