Recently, urban high temperature phenomenon has become a problem which.results from human activities, the increase in energy consumption, and land-cover ch.nge in urban areas. As extremely hot weather caused by urban high temperature continues, demand for power is increased and results in the degradation of electricity reserves. The current trend in climate ch.nge, regardless of the summer and winter power demand, is likely to have much.effect on the power demand. Thus, sensitivity to electricity consumption in urban areas due to climate ch.nge was research.d. The results show that, 1） the basic unit of the sensitivity to electricity consumption in the target areas is 1.25-1.58W/（m2.℃）; 2） The maximum sensitivity is recorded at around 8：00 pm in the area crowded with commercial and business area. And in the business area, electricity consumption load is even from 9：00 am to 6：00 pm.

In this paper, the modified slip/fracture activation model has been used in order to understand the mech.nism of ductile-brittle transition on the R-plane of sapphire during ultra-precision mach.ning by reflecting direction of resultant force. Anisotropic ch.racteristics of crack morphology and ductility of mach.ning depending on cutting direction were explained in detail with modified fracture cleavage and plastic deformation parameters. Through the analysis, it was concluded that crack morphologies were mainly determined by the interaction of multiple fracture systems activated while, critical depth of cut was determined by the dominant plastic deformation parameter. In addition to this, by using proportionality relationship between magnitude of resultant force and depth of cut in the ductile region, an empirical model for critical depth of cut was developed.

In the recent years, transition-metal dich.lcogenides such.as MoS2 have attracted considerable attention owing to their unique structure and electronic properties. ch.mical vapor deposition （CVD） is a popular method for producing MoS2 flakes with different shapes. Here, we report an effective method for ach.eving a broad range of shape evolution in CVD-grown monolayer MoS2 flakes. By controlling the S and MoO3 temperatures, the shape of the monolayer MoS2 flakes was varied from hexagonal to triangular via intermediate shapes such.as truncated and multi-apex triangles. The shape evolution of the MoS2 flakes can be explained by introducing the term “nominal Mo：S ratio”, which.refers to the amount of loaded MoO3 and evaporated S powders. By using the nominal Mo：S ratio, we predicted the potential reaction atmosphere and effectively controlled the actual proportion of MoO3-x with respect to S in the growth region, along with the growth temperature. From the systematic investigation of the behavior of the shape evolution, we developed a shape-evolution diagram, which.can be used as a practical guide for producing CVD-grown MoS2 flakes with desired shapes

BACKGROUND The surge of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients has markedly influenced the treatment policies of tertiary hospitals because of the need to protect medical staff and contain viral transmission,but the impact COVID-19 had on emergency gastrointestinal endoscopies has not been *** To compare endoscopic activities and analyze the clinical outcomes of emergency endoscopies performed before and during the COVID-19 outbreak in Daegu,the worst-hit region in South *** This retrospective cohort study was conducted on patients aged≥18 years that underwent endoscopy from February 18 to March.28,2020,at a tertiary hospital in ***,laboratory findings,types and causes of emergency endoscopies,and endoscopic reports were reviewed and compared with those obtained for the same period in 2018 and *** From February 18 to March.28,a total of 366 emergent endoscopic procedures were performed:Upper endoscopy(170,50.6%),endoscopic retrograde ch.langiopancreatography(113,33.6%),and colonoscopy with sigmoidoscopy(53,15.8%).The numbers of procedures performed in 2018 and 2019 dropped by 48.8%and 54.8%,respectively,compared with those in *** the COVID-19 outbreak,the main indications for endoscopy were melena(36.7%),hematemesis(30.6%),and hematoch.zia(10.2%).Of the endoscopic abnormalities detected,gastrointestinal bleeding was the most common:39 cases in 2018,51 in 2019,and 35 in *** The impact of COVID-19 is substantial and caused dramatic reductions in endoscopic procedures and ch.nges in patient ***-term follow-up studies are required to determine the effects of COVID-19 induced ch.nges in the endoscopy field.

Recently,user recognitionmethods to authenticate personal identity has attracted significant attention especially with increased availability of various internet of things(IoT)services through fifth-generation tech.ology(5G)based mobile *** EMG signals generated inside the body with unique individual ch.racteristics are being studied as a part of nextgeneration user recognition ***,there is a limitation when applying EMG signals to user recognition systems as the same operation needs to be repeated while maintaining a constant strength of muscle over ***,it is necessary to conduct research.on multidimensional feature transformation that includes ch.nges in frequency features over *** this paper,we propose a user recognition system that applies EMG signals to the short-time fourier transform(STFT),and converts the signals into EMG spectrogram images while adjusting the time-frequency resolution to extract multidimensional *** proposed system is composed of a data pre-processing and normalization process,spectrogram image conversion process,and final classification *** experimental results revealed that the proposed EMG spectrogram image-based user recognition system has a 95.4%accuracy performance,which.is 13%higher than the EMGsignal-based *** a user recognition accuracy improvement was ach.eved by using multidimensional features,in the time-frequency domain.

As fifth generation tech.ology standard(5G)tech.ology develops,the possibility of being exposed to the risk of cyber-attacks that exploits vulnerabilities in the 5G environment is *** existing personal recognitionmethod used for granting permission is a password-basedmethod,which.causes security ***,personal recognition studies using bio-signals are being conducted as a method to access control to *** bio-signal,surface electromyogram(sEMG)can solve the existing personal recognition problem that was unable to the modification of registered information owing to the ch.racteristic ch.nges in its signal according to the performed ***,as an advantage,sEMG can be conveniently measured from arms and *** paper proposes a personal recognition method using sEMG,based on a multi-stream convolutional neural network(CNN).The proposed method decomposes sEMG signals into intrinsic mode functions(IMF)using empirical mode decomposition(EMD)and transforms each.IMF into a *** recognition is performed by analyzing time–frequency features from the spectrogram transformed *** database(DB)adopted in this paper is the Ninapro DB,which.is a bench.ark EMG *** experimental results indicate that the personal recognition performance of the multi-stream CNN using the IMF spectrogram improved by 1.91%,compared with the singlestream CNN using the spectrogram of raw sEMG.
