This study explores a symmetric configuration approach in anion exchange membrane(AEM)water electrolysis,focusing on overcoming adaptability challenges in dynamic ***,a rapid and mild synthesis technique for fabricating fibrous membrane-type catalyst electrodes is *** method leverages the contrasting oxidation states between the sulfur-doped NiFe(OH)2 shell and the metallic Ni core,as revealed by electron energy loss *** evaluations confirm that the S–NiFe(OH)_(2) active sites optimize free energy for alkaline water electrolysis *** technique bypasses traditional energy-intensive processes,achieving superior bifunctional activity beyond current *** symmetric AEM water electrolyzer demonstrates a current density of 2 A cm^(-2) at 1.78 V at 60℃ in 1 M KOH electrolyte and also sustains ampere-scale water electrolysis below 2.0 V for 140 h even in ambient *** results highlight the system's operational flexibility and structural stability,marking a significant advance-ment in AEM water electrolysis technology.

Wearable technology requires high-performance sensors with properties such as small size,flexibility,and wireless ***,sensitivity,and tunability are crucial sensor properties;stretchability and sensitivity ensure user comfort and accurate sensing performance,while tunability is essential for implementing sensors in diverse applications with different ranges of *** this study,we developed a high performance kirigami piezoelectric strain *** finite element analysis,the sensing performance was evaluated,and the kirigami patterns were *** electromechanical properties of sensors with four different kirigami patterns were analyzed.A sensor voltage measurement circuit was also designed,amplifying the output voltage 86.5 times by improving measurement accuracy.A piezoelectric kirigami sensor was constructed with a sensitivity of 9.86 V/cm^(2) and a stretchability of 320.8%,higher than those of previously reported kirigami piezoelectric strain ***,the fabricated sensor was successfully applied in a haptic glove for playing musical instruments.

A system that combines the advantage of the long-range(LoRa)communication method and the structural characteristics of a mesh network for an LoRa mesh network-based wireless electrical load tracking system is *** system demonstrates considerable potential in reducing data loss due to environmental factors in farfield wireless energy *** proposed system can automatically control the function of each node by confirming the data source and eventually adjust the system structure according to real-time monitoring data without manual *** further improve the sustainability of the system in outdoor environments,a standby equipment is designed to automatically ensure the normal operation of the system when the hardware of the base station *** system is based on the Arduino board,which lowers the production cost and provides a simple manufacturing *** conducting a long-term monitoring of a near-field smart manufacturing process in South Korea and the far-field energy consumption of rural households in Tanzania,we have proven that the system can be implemented in most regions,neither confined to a specific geographic location nor limited by the development of local *** system comprises a smart framework that improves the quality of energy ***,the proposed big-data-technology-based power supply policy offers a new approach for prolonging the power supply time of off-grid power plants,thereby providing a guideline for more rural areas with limited power sources to utilize uninterrupted electricity.

With electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and portable electronic devices becoming increasingly popular, the demand for lithium-ion batteries has surged considerably. In the lithium-ion battery industry, n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NMP) is widely used as the solvent for cathode slurry, and polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF) is used as the cathode binder. However, because of the harmful effect of NMP on the environment and human health, the use of NMP and PVDF for lithium-ion batteries will be highly regulated in the future. Therefore, developing eco-friendly alternatives is crucial for formulating systems using new solvents and binders. Despite numerous efforts, these alternatives have not been widely adopted across the lithium-ion battery industry. It is due to their limited ability to compete on price or performance to replace the traditional NMP/PVDF slurry formulations. This review investigates developments in the search for new solvents and binders that can be used in cathode slurry compositions. The new systems can potentially decrease energy consumption and manufacturing costs associated with NMP recovery, energy-intensive drying processes, and material expenses. We discuss key factors and technical challenges from earlier studies and compare them with the current, optimized formulations based on NMP and PVDF.

Micro-and nano-structuring have been highlighted over several decades in both science and engineering *** addition to continuous efforts in fabrication techniques,investigations in scalable nanomanufacturing have been pursued to achieve reduced feature size,fewer constraints in terms of materials and dimensional complexity,as well as improved process *** this study,based on recent micro-/nanoscale fabrication processes,characteristics and key requirements for computer-aided design and manufacturing(CAD/CAM)systems for scalable nanomanufacturing were *** include a process knowledge database,standardized processing,active communication,adaptive interpolation,a consistent coordinate system,and management of peripheral *** scalable nanomanufacturing,it is important to consider the flexibility and expandability of each process,because hybrid and bridging processes represent effective ways to expand process *** an example,we describe a novel CAD/CAM system for hybrid three-dimensional(3D)printing at the *** novel hybrid process was developed by bridging aerodynamically focused nanoparticle printing,focused ion beam milling,micromachining,and spincoating *** system developed can print a full 3D structure using various inorganic materials,with a minimum process scale of 50 *** most obvious difference versus CAD/CAM at‘conventional’scales is that our system was developed based on a network to promote communication between users and process *** the network-based system,it is also possible to narrow the gap among different processes/*** anticipate that this approach can contribute to the development of CAD/CAM for scalable nanomanufacturing and a wide range of hybrid processes.

A pilot clinical study to evaluate feasibility of using single patient classifier as a prognostic test in stage Ⅱ-Ⅲ gastric cancer patients

The rapid prototyping (RP) technology has been used for design verification, functionality test and fabrication of prototypes. In this paper, a hybrid rapid prototyping system, which can fabricate nano composites using various materials is introduced. This hybrid system adopts RP and machining process, so material deposition and removal can be performed on a single station. As an example, micro gears were fabricated using nano composite consisted of photo-curable polymer and Multi-wall Carbon Nano Tube (MWCNT). The micro gear samples fabricated by the hybrid RP technology showed higher precision than those made by casting or deposition process. As the second example stapes was fabricated using hydroxyapatite-acrylic composite.

Objective:Precision medicine approaches emphasize the importance of reliable prognostic tools for guiding individualized therapy *** this study,we evaluated the clinical feasibility of the single patient classifier(SPC)test,a new clinical-grade prognostic assay,in stageⅡ-Ⅲgastric cancer ***:A prospective multicenter study was conducted,involving 237 patients who underwent gastrectomy between September 2019 and August 2020 across nine *** SPC test was employed to stratify patients into risk groups,and its feasibility and performance were *** primary endpoint was the proportion of the cases in which the test results were timely delivered before selecting postoperative ***,3-year disease-free survivals of risk groups were ***:The SPC test met the primary endpoint *** 99.5%of SPC tests were timely delivered to hospitals before the postoperative treatment *** a clinical setting,the median time from the specimen transfer to laboratory to the result delivery to hospital was 4 ***,3-year disease-free survivals were significantly different between risk groups classified with SPC ***:This study highlights the SPC test's feasibility in offering crucial information timely delivered for making informed decisions regarding postoperative treatment *** also provides evidence to support the implementation of a future prospective clinical trial aimed at evaluating the clinical utility of the SPC test in guiding personalized treatment decisions for gastric cancer patients.

To demonstrate flexible and tandem device applications,a low-temperature Cu_(2)ZnSnSe_(4)(CZTSe)deposition process,combined with efficient alkali doping,was ***,high-quality CZTSe films were grown at 480℃by a single co-evaporation,which is applicable to polyimide(PI)*** of the alkali-free substrate,Na and K alkali doping were systematically studied and optimized to precisely control the alkali distribution in *** bulk defect density was significantly reduced by suppression of deep acceptor states after the(NaF+KF)*** the low-temperature deposition with(NaF+KF)PDTs,the CZTSe device on glass yields the best efficiency of 8.1%with an improved Voc deficit of 646 *** developed deposition technologies have been applied to *** the first time,we report the highest efficiency of 6.92%for flexible CZTSe solar cells on ***,CZTSe devices were utilized as bottom cells to fabricate four-terminal CZTSe/perovskite tandem cells because of a low bandgap of CZTSe(~1.0 eV)so that the tandem cell yielded an efficiency of 20%.The obtained results show that CZTSe solar cells prepared by a low-temperature process with in-situ alkali doping can be utilized for flexible thin-film solar cells as well as tandem device applications.
