Wheat grain yield is generally sink-limited during grain *** grain-filling rate(GFR)plays a vital role but is poorly studied due to the difficulty of phenotype *** study explored the grain-filling traits in a recombinant inbred population and wheat collection using two highly saturated genetic maps for linkage analysis and genome-wide association study(GWAS).Seventeen stable additive quantitative trait loci(QTLs)were identified on chromosomes 1B,4B,and *** linkage interval between IWB19555 and IWB56078 showed pleiotropic effects on GFR_(1),GFR_(max),kernel length(KL),kernel width(KW),kernel thickness(KT),and thousand kernel weight(TKW),with the phenotypic variation explained(PVE)ranging from 13.38%(KW)to 33.69%(TKW).198 significant marker-trait associations(MTAs)were distributed across most chromosomes except for 3D and *** major associated sites for GFR included IWB44469(11.27%),IWB8156(12.56%)and IWB24812(14.46%).Linkage analysis suggested that IWB35850,identified through GWAS,was located in approximately the same region as QGFR_(max)2B.3-11,where two high-confidence candidate genes were *** important grain weight(GW)-related QTLs colocalized with grain-filling *** findings contribute to understanding the genetic architecture of the GFR and provide a basic approach to predict candidate genes for grain yield trait QTLs.

1 Geological features in the deposit THE Xifanping porphyry is located in the yanyuan-Lijiang fault block at the southern margin of theyangtze massif. Only the Upper Permian Leping Formation and the Lower Triassic Qingtianbao Formation are exposed in yanyuan County, Sichuan Province. The main ore-bearing rock body (No. 80) is anear-equant irregular complex stock, about 900 m long from east to west and 720 m wide from north tosouth. The bulk part consists of megaphyric biotite-quartz monzonitic porphyry. The commercial orebodylies in the No. 80 rock body and its surrounding country rocks, an N-S-elongated irregular lens-shapeddeposit. The orebody is controlled by the K-feldspar-biotite and quartz-sericite alteration zones. It consists mainly of disseminated and veinlet-disseminated ores.

A Novel Model for Describing Rail Weld Irregularities and Predicting Wheel-Rail Forces Using a Machine Learning Approach

Rail weld irregularities are one of the primary excitation sources for vehicle-track interaction dynamics in modern high-speed *** can cause significant wheel-rail dynamic interactions,leading to wheel-rail noise,component damage,and *** researchers have employed the vehicle-track interaction dynamic model to study the dynamic interactions between wheel and rail induced by rail weld geometry ***,the cosine wave model used to simulate rail weld irregularities mainly focuses on the maximum value and neglects the geometric *** this study,novel theoretical models were developed for three categories of rail weld irregularities,based on measurements of the high-speed railway from Beijing to *** vertical dynamic forces in the time and frequency domains were compared under different running *** forces generated by the rail weld irregularities that were measured and modeled,respectively,were compared to validate the accuracy of the proposed ***,based on the numerical study,the impact force due to rail weld irrregularity is modeled using an Artificial Neural Network(ANN),and the optimum combination of parameters for this model is *** results showed that the proposed model provided a more accurate wheel/rail dynamic evaluation caused by rail weld irregularities than that established in the *** ANN model used in this paper can effectively predict the impact force due to rail weld irrregularity while reducing the computation time.

Cu/TiO_(2)adsorbents modified by air plasma for adsorption-oxidation of H_(2)S

In this study,non-thermal plasma(NTP)was employed to modify the Cu/TiO_(2)adsorbent to efficiently purify H_(2)S in low-temperature and micro-oxygen *** effects of Cu loading amounts and atmospheres of NTP treatment on the adsorption-oxidation performance of the adsorbents were *** NTP modification successfully boosted the H_(2)S removal capacity to varying degrees,and the optimized adsorbent treated by air plasma(Cu/TiO_(2)-Air)attained the best H_(2)S breakthrough capacity of 113.29 mg H_(2)S/gadsorbent,which was almost 5 times higher than that of the adsorbent without NTP *** studies demonstrated that the superior performance of Cu/TiO_(2)-Air was attributed to increased mesoporous volume,more exposure of active sites(CuO)and functional groups(amino groups and hydroxyl groups),enhanced Ti-O-Cu interaction,and the favorable ratio of active oxygen ***,the X-ray diffraction(XRD)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results indicated the main reason for the deactivationwas the consumption of the active components(CuO)and the agglomeration of reaction products(CuS and SO_(4)^(2−))occupying the active sites on the surface and the inner pores of the adsorbents.

Introducing strong metal–oxygen bonds to suppress the Jahn-Teller effect and enhance the structural stability of Ni/Co-free Mn-based layered oxide cathodes for potassium-ion batteries

Mn-based layered oxides（KMO） have emerged as one of the promising low-cost cathodes for potassiumion batteries（PIBs）.However,due to the multiple-phase transitions and the distortion in the MnO6structure induced by the Jahn-Teller（JT） effect associated with Mn-ion,the cathode exhibits poor structural ***,we propose a strategy to enhance structural stability by introducing robust metal-oxygen（M-O） bonds,which can realize the pinning effect to constrain the distortion in the transition metal（TM） ***,all the elements employed have exceptionally high crustal *** a proof of concept,the designed K0.5Mn0.9Mg0.025Ti0.025Al0.05O2cathode exhibited a discharge capacity of approximately 100 mA h g-1at 20 mA g-1with 79% capacity retention over 50 cycles,and 73% capacity retention over 200 cycles at 200 mA g-1,showcased much better battery performance than the designed cathode with less robust M-O *** properties of the formed M-O bonds were investigated using theoretical *** enhanced dynamics,mitigated JT effect,and improved structural stability were elucidated through the in-situ X-ray diffractometer（XRD）,in-situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy（EIS）(and distribution of relaxation times（DRT） method),and ex-situ X-ray absorption fine structure（XAFS） *** study holds substantial reference value for the future design of costeffective Mn-based layered cathodes for PIBs.

Application of myxovirus resistance protein A in the etiological diagnosis of infections in adults

BACKGROUND: Inappropriate antibiotic treatment for patients with viral infections has led to a surge in antimicrobial resistance, increasing mortality and healthcare costs. Viral and bacterial infections are often difficult to distinguish. Myxovirus resistance protein A(MxA), an essential antiviral factor induced by interferon after viral infection, holds promise for distinguishing between viral and bacterial infections. This study aimed to determine the ability of Mx A to distinguish viral from bacterial ***: We quantified MxA in 121 infected patients via dry immunofluorescence chromatography. The Kruskal-Wallis test and receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis were used to determine the diagnostic value of Mx A, either alone or in combination with C-reactive protein(CRP) or procalcitonin(PCT), in patients with viral, bacterial, or ***: The value of MxA(ng/mL) was significantly higher in patients with viral infections than in those with bacterial and co-infections(82.3 [24.5–182.9] vs. 16.4 [10.8–26.5], P<0.0001)(82.3 [24.5–182.9] vs. 28.5 [10.2–106.8], P=0.0237). The area under the curve(AUC) of the ROC curve for distinguishing between viral and bacterial infections was 0.799(95% confidence interval [95% CI] 0.696–0.903), with a sensitivity of 68.9%(95% CI 54.3%–80.5%) and specificity of 90.0%(95% CI 74.4%–96.5%) at the threshold of 50.3 ng/mL. Combining the MxA level with the CRP or PCT level improved its ability. MxA expression was low in cytomegalovirus(15.8 [9.6–47.6] ng/mL) and Epstein-Barr virus(12.9 [8.5–21.0] ng/mL) ***: Our study showed the diagnostic efficacy of Mx A in distinguishing between viral and bacterial infections, with further enhancement when it was combined with CRP or PCT. Moreover, EpsteinBarr virus and human cytomegalovirus infections did not elicit elevated Mx A expression.

Methane(CH_(4))is the second greenhouse gas and has a profound impact on global climate change due to its high global warming potential and *** 2022,the CH_(4)concentration was approximately 1.9 ppm,which was 264%of the pre-industrial *** spatiotemporal distribution of CH_(4)was investigated by a portable CH_(4)detector on an unmanned aerial vehicle and electric bicycles in Shaoxing,a city situated in the yangtze River Delta,*** vertical distribution revealed CH_(4)concentration generally decreased slowly with ***,the inversion condition and low atmospheric boundary layer height(ABLH)leaded to the enhancement of CH_(4)with *** highest CH_(4)concentration(2.2±0.1 ppm,n=1428)was observed in winter and the lowest(2.0±0.2 ppm,n=1530)in *** the daily variation,CH_(4)concentration peaked at 5:00 local time(LT)and reached its lowest level at 14:00 LT,which was attributed to the daily variation of ABLH,lowest in the early morning and highest in the *** urban areas,CH_(4)concentrations showed higher levels near restaurants,natural gas stations and sewerage well,with a maximum value of 13.1 ppm,which was caused by CH_(4)emission and natural gas leakage from these *** annual CH_(4)emission in Shaoxing were estimated to be approximately 69 ton/(km^(2)·year)by the mass balance *** with other cities in the world,the CH_(4)emission is in higher level which imply some control measures should be conducted to reduce CH_(4)emission in Shaoxing.
