研究基于表观扩散系数(ADC)区分颈部淋巴瘤和鳞状细胞癌(SCC)结节的局灶性缺损的诊断重要性。分析26例淋巴瘤病人的79个结节和45例鳞状细胞癌病人的88个结节的ADC值。没有局灶性缺损的淋巴瘤结节的ADC值[(0.449±0.096)×10-3mm2/s]显著低于没有局灶性缺损的SCC结节的[(0.960±0.310)×10-3mm2/s]。

We collected soil samples from two representative sites at Aatmile of Khagarachari hill district in Chittagong Hill Tracts. One of the sites was under shifting cultivation and the other an adjacent 13-year old teak plantation. Both sites were in the same physiographic condition and same aspect with parable soil type, which enabled us to measure the effects of shifting cultivation on soil micro-flora. We studied soil phys-ico-chemical properties and the biochemical and biological properties of soil microbes. moisture and organic matter content as well as fungi and bacterial populations, both in surface and subsurface soils, were signifi-cantly （p≤0.001） lower in shifting cultivated soils compared to soils not under shifting cultivation, i.e. the teak plantation site. The most abundant bacteria in surface （0-10 cm） and sub-surface （10-20 cm） soils under shifting cultivation were Pseudomonas diminuta and Shigella, respec-tively, while in corresponding soil layers of teak plantation, predominant microbes were Bacillus firmus （0-10 cm） and Xanthomonas （10-20 cm）. The microbial population differences cannot be explained by soil texture differences because of the textural similarity in soils from the two sites but could be related to the significantly lower moisture and organic mat-ter contents in soils under shifting cultivation.

This study investigates the effect of{10-12}deformation twins on the continuous precipitation behavior of an extruded mg-8.0Al-0.5Zn-0.2mn(AZ80)alloy during *** extruded AZ80 alloy is compressed along the transverse direction to introduce{10-12}twins,followed by an aging treatment at 300℃.The extruded material exhibits a twin-free microstructure with low internal strain energy,whereas the pre-twinned material possesses abundant{10-12}twins and has high internal strain *** aging results reveal that the peak-aging time of the pre-twinned material(1 h)is one-eighth of that of the extruded material(8 h).Although mg_(17)Al_(12)continuous precipitates(CPs)are observed in both the peak-aged materials,these CPs are much smaller and more densely distributed in the pre-twinned material despite the significantly shorter aging *** CPs size in the peak-aged materials increases in the following order:twinned region in the pre-twinned material(0.47μm)matrix region in the pre-twinned material(1.71μm)matrix region in the extruded material(2.55μm).moreover,the CPs number density in the twinned region of the pre-twinned material is approximately 11 times higher than that in the matrix region of the extruded *** peak-aged pre-twinned material exhibits significantly higher tensile strength and ductility than the peak-aged extruded *** results demonstrate that the formation of{10-12}twins in the extruded AZ80 alloy substantially accelerates the static precipitation of CPs during aging at 300℃and improves the tensile properties of the peak-aged material.

Two intermetallic compounds of Ti-50at.%Al and Ti-48at.%Al-2at.%Cr were prepared with a mechanical alloying and pulse discharge sintering process. The as-sintered material shows a microstructure of equiaxed gamma grain with sub-micron size. Heat treatments in Vacuum at different temperatures up to 1573 K were conducted on the sintered materials. The microstructure of the material coarsened considerably after heat treatment at temperatures higher than 1523 K. The mechanical properties of the as-sintered and the heat treated materials were measured at temperatures up to 973 K, with four-point bending tests. Experimental results indicate that the addition of Cr increases the fracture strength of the intermetallic compound at room temperature and at elevated temperatures as well. The bending fracture strength increases with increasing testing temperature up to about 873 K and a decrease following up. Both fracture strength and fracture strain of the material were found to be improved by heat treatment. (Edited author abstract) 10 Refs.

Surveillance of Chikungunya virus activity in some North-eastern states of India

Objective: To detect the prevalence pattern of Chikungunya virus in three states of Northeast India. methods: A total of 1 510 samples were collected from different private and government hospitals of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and meghalaya. Serum was tested for the presence of Igm antibodies against Chikungunya virus followed by RT-PCR for amplification of Chikungunya E1 gene region using specific primers. Results: Overall, 11.83%(172/1 454) clinical samples were positive by mAC-ELISA and/or RT-PCR assay. Asymptomatic infection was seen in 17.86%. males were more affected than females and age group 16-30 years was mostly affected. Fever(100.00%) was the primary symptom followed by headache(72.03%) and arthralgia(41.53%). Only 118 Chikungunya positive cases could be traced, of which 25.42% complained about sequelae of infection. In entomological investigation, Aedes aegypti was more predominant(92.10%) than Aedes albopictus(7.90%). No mosquito pools could be incriminated for Chikungunya virus. Conclusions: In this study, Chikungunya was observed to be prevalent in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and meghalaya. Though Chikungunya is a selflimiting infection, increasing morbidity by CHIKV infection is affecting social and economic status of individual. Thus, a community empowerment to effectively control mosquito population by employing different mosquito control measures along with personal protection is mandatory to tackle future outbreak of the disease.

Objectives: Glioblastoma(GBm) is one of the worst cancers in terms of *** therapy consists of resection with concomitant *** to nimustine hydrochloride(ACNU),an alkylating agent,has been linked to methylguanine DNA methyltransferase(mGmT).Daily administration of procarbazine(PCZ) has been reported to decrease mGmT *** study investigated the efficacy of ACNU + PCZ compared to ACNU alone for GBm and anaplastic astrocytoma(AA).methods: Patients(20-69 years) who had newly diagnosed AA and GBm were randomly assigned to receive radiotherapy with ACNU alone or with ACNU + *** primary endpoint was overall survival(OS).This was designed as a phase Ⅱ/Ⅲ trial with a total sample size of 310 patients and was registered as UmIN-CTR ***: After 111 patients from 19 centers in Japan were enrolled,this study was terminated early because temozolomide was newly approved in *** median OS and median progression-free survival(PFS) with ACNU alone(n = 55) or ACNU + PCZ(n = 56) in the intention-to-treat population were 27.4 and 22.4 months(P = 0.75),and 8.6 and 6.9 months,*** median OS and median PFS of the GBm subgroup treated with ACNU alone(n = 40) or ACNU + PCZ(n = 41) were 19.0 and 19.5 months,and 6.2 and 6.3 months,*** 3/4 hematologic adverse events occurred in more than 40% of patients in both arms,and 27% of patients discontinued treatment because of adverse ***: The addition of PCZ to ACNU was not beneficial,in comparison with ACNU alone,for patients with newly diagnosed AA and GBm.

INTRODUCTION The United Nations(UN)Decade of Healthy Ageing(2021–2030),coordinated by the World Health Organization(WHO),1 is a global collaborative initiative aimed at improving the lives of older people,their families and the communities.23 The Action Areas 3(ie,‘deliver person-centred,integrated care and primary health services responsive to older people’)and 4(ie,‘provide access to long-term care(LTC)for older people who need it’)of the Decade’s work programme focus on reorienting health and care systems to promote‘ageing in place’and the delivery of personalised interventions in a seamless continuum of care.
