Amplified chirality and Förster resonance energy transfer(FRET)-assisted chirality transfer frommolecular to nanoscale level have been shown to play a vital role in co-assembled nanohelix for potential energy transfer in biological ***,we have constructed a chiral host–guest complex donor system for chiral amplification via induced chirality of pillar[5]arene host and loaded it with an achiral dye acceptor to demonstrate how chirality-assisted excitation energy transfer occurred in the supramolecular nanohelix system in an aqueous medium.

Objective:To evaluate the prevalence and types of complementary and alternative medicine(CAM)modalities among patients with cancer in Karachi,***:This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from March 2021 to December *** hundred patients with cancer were invited to participate in the *** databases,namely,Google scholar,Publons,EMBASE,PubMed,Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,and ResearchGate was used for questionnaire *** self-administered survey included questions on demographic characteristics,education level,socio-economic conditions and information about CAM therapies,prevalence,effectiveness,and common CAM *** analysis was conducted using SPSS software version ***:Out of the 500 invited patients,433(86.6%)successfully completed and returned the *** contrast to patients who were with younger,highly educated,professionally active,higher income,and had advanced cancer,time since diagnosis,type of treatment,cancer types and family history are significantly associated with CAM *** results showed that 59.8%of the participants were acquainted with complementary and/or alternative medicine and considered safe owing to its natural *** prevalence of CAM usage among cancer patients was 40.9%and the most widely used CAM modality was herbal medicine(27.7%)and dietary supplements(28.8%).Patients used CAM as a complementary therapy to improve the morphological parameter(28.2%),strengthen the immune system(6.8%),and to decrease the side effects of conventional treatment(18.1%).Most of the respondents get the information regarding CAM therapy from the electronic media(43.2%)and the family members(48%)rather than healthcare ***:Participants used CAM modalities along with the conventional health care *** multicentre studies should be conducted to provide information regarding the usage of CAM therapies and their eventual benefi

First principles investigation of protactinium-based oxide-perovskites for flexible opto electronic devices

The structural,elastic,mechanical,electronic,and optical properties of KPaO_3 and RbPaO_3 compounds are investigated from first-principles calculations by using the WIEN2 k code in the frame of local density approximation（LDA） and generalized gradient approximation（GGA）.The calculated ground state quantities,such as lattice constant（α_0）,ground state energy（E）,bulk modulus（S）,and their pressure derivative（B_p） are in reasonable agreement with the present analytical and previous theoretical results and available experimental *** on several elastic and mechanical parameters,the structural stability,hardness,stiffness and the brittle and ductile behaviors are discussed,which reveal that protactiniumbased oxide series of perovskites is mechanically stable and possesses weak resistance to shear deformation compared with resistance to unidirectional compression while flexible and covalent behaviors are dominated in *** analysis of band profile through Trans-Blaha modified Becke-Johnson（TB-mBJ） potential highlights the underestimation of bandgap with traditional density functional theory（DFT） *** contribution of electronic states is investigated by means of total and partial density of states and it can be evaluated that both compounds are（Γ-Γ） direct bandgap *** fundamental optical properties are analyzed while attention is paid to absorption and reflection spectra to explore extensive absorptions and reflections of these compounds in high frequency *** present method represents an influential approach to calculating the whole set of elastic,mechanical,and opto-electronic parameters,which would conduce to the understanding of various physical phenomena and empower the device engineers to implement these materials in flexible opto-electronic applications.

Among the huge diversity of ideas that show up while studying graph theory,one that has obtained a lot of popularity is the concept of labelings of *** labelings give valuable mathematical models for a wide scope of applications in high technologies(cryptography,astronomy,data security,various coding theory problems,communication networks,etc.).A labeling or a valuation of a graph is any mapping that sends a certain set of graph elements to a certain set of numbers subject to certain *** labeling is a mapping of elements of the graph,i.e.,vertex and for edges to a set of numbers(usually positive integers),called *** the domain is the vertex-set or the edge-set,the labelings are called vertex labelings or edge labelings ***,if the domain is V(G)[E(G)],then the labeling is called total labeling.A reflexive edge irregular k-labeling of graph introduced by Tanna et al.:A total labeling of graph such that for any two different edges ab and a'b'of the graph their weights has wt_(x)(ab)=x(a)+x(ab)+x(b) and wt_(x)(a'b')=x(a')+x(a'b')+x(b') are *** smallest value of k for which such labeling exist is called the reflexive edge strength of the graph and is denoted by res(G).In this paper we have found the exact value of the reflexive edge irregularity strength of the categorical product of two paths (P_(a)×P_(b))for any choice of a≥3 and b≥3.

In this study,we investigated the chemical composition of dissolved solids in the Ca River basin,North-Central *** samples were collected from August 2017 to July 2018 at three hydrological stations located in the main stream of the Ca *** weathering was found as the dominant process controlling the water chemistry in that *** average concentrations of dissolved solids generally decreased from upstream to downstream,resulting in low concentrations of the major ions in the downstream *** in the concentrations of major chemical ions and suspended solids at discharge were also *** chemical weathering products were found to behave chemostatically with increasing discharges ***,dilution behaviors of solutes were shown in both midstream and *** evidence shows that water storage in reservoirs impacts a variety of suspended solids and dissolved solids in the Ca River.

Background:Transarterial radioembolization(TARE)has recently been recognized as a bridging/downstaging therapy to surgery for early hepatocellular carcinomas(HCCs)with high rates of complete pathological necrosis(CPN)on liver *** patients with portal vein tumoral thrombus(PVTT),multifocal or large tumors,TARE has mainly a palliative role and surgery remains controversial in this poor-prognosis *** dosimetry recently proved to outperform standard dosimetry used in prior negative Y90 randomized-controlled ***:In this retrospective study,we evaluated safety,radiological and pathological response and outcomes in HCC patients with PVTT,multifocal or large tumors,who underwent surgery after downstaging using TARE with Y90-loaded glass microspheres with personalized ***:Between December 2015 and October 2021,18 unresectable patients(14/18 with PVTT)had surgery(16 resections,2 liver transplantations)6.2 months(range,2-14.6 months)after a single Y90 *** 90-day mortality was *** modified response criteria in solid tumors(mRECIST)response were noted in all but one *** and extensive(50-99%)necrosis was observed in 36%and 45%of tumors,*** post-treatment tumor-absorbed dose significantly differed depending on the extent of pathological necrosis(P=0.045).Median overall survival and progression-free survival(PFS)were respectively of 61.8 months[95%CI:31.4 months-not reached(NR)]and 49.3 months(95%CI:14 months-NR).PFS was longer in patients with complete imaging response[median NR(none recurred or died)vs.21.5 months(95%CI:10.1 months-NR),P<0.001]and in those with complete pathological response[median NR vs.22.5 months(95%CI:10.1 months-NR),P<0.001].Conclusions:Y90 TARE using personalized dosimetry can provide high rates of imaging and pathological response in patients with PVTT,large or multifocal *** surgery is safe and leads to outcomes far exceeding expectations in a

To find out the Xylem anatomical variations we analyzed the cell structure, lumen area early wood, lumen area late wood, ring width growth response relationship to climate factors in boreal forests. We present growth response from 3-sites KYH (Kheyihe), MEDG (Moredagha), ALH (Alihe) from central Daxing’an mountains China. Variations observed in Cell size from 2010-2016 years in Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica and Larix gmelinii. We analyzed growth response from 2010-2016. Results interoperates that significant growth of Larixgmelinii was lower at ALH-site than Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica as compared to KYH and MEDG-site. We measure the influence of temperature and precipitation which have been shown by correlations of different growing seasons. The warmest temperature from June to September at ALH-site growth of late wood show significant differences at ALH-site. It is also observed that summer temperature in late wood have a significant role in cell dimensions, while the influence of spring temperature frequently influences on tracheid size in early wood formation providing well-documented sound for anatomy and generally used for determining the relationship between maximum growth of tree ring density and effect of temperature variation.

Impacts of 2 species of predatory Reduviidae on bagworms in oil palm plantations

Integrated pest management （IPM） is widely practiced in commercial oil palm agriculture. This management system is intended to minimize the number of attacks by pest insects such as bagworms on crops, as well as curb economic loss with less dependency on chemical pesticides. One practice in IPM is the use of biological control agents such as predatory insects. In this study, we assessed the response of predatory natural enemies to pest outbreak and water stress, and document the habitat associations of potential pest predators. The abundances of 2 predatory insect species, namely Sycanus dichotomus and Cosmolestes pictieeps （Hemiptera： Reduviidae）, were compared bagworm outbreak sites and nonoutbreak sites within oil palm plantations. We also examined habitat characteristics that influence the abundances of both predatory species. We found that the abundance of C. picticeps was significantly higher in bagworm outbreak sites than in nonoutbreak sites. There were no significant differences in the abundance ofS. dichotomus among outbreak and non-outbreak sites. Both species responded negatively to water stress in oil palm plantations. Concerning the relationship between predatory insect abundance and in situ habitat quality characteristics, our models explained 46.36% of variation for C. picticeps and 23.17% of variation for S. dichotomus. Both species of predatory insects thrived from the planting of multiple beneficial plants in oil palm plantations. The results suggest that C. picticeps can be used as a biological agent to control bagworm populations in oil palm plantations, but S. dichotomus has no or little potential for such ecosystem service.
