Recent Advances in Interface Engineering for Electrocatalytic CO_(2) Reduction Reaction

Electrocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2) RR) can store and transform the intermittent renewable energy in the form of chemical energy for industrial production of chemicals and fuels,which can dramatically reduce CO_(2) emission and contribute to carbon-neutral cycle. E cient electrocatalytic reduction of chemically inert CO_(2) is challenging from thermodynamic and kinetic points of view. Therefore,low-cost,highly e cient,and readily available electrocatalysts have been the focus for promoting the conversion of CO_(2). Very recently,interface engineering has been considered as a highly e ective strategy to modulate the electrocatalytic performance through electronic and/or structural modulation,regulations of electron/proton/mass/intermediates,and the control of local reactant concentration,thereby achieving desirable reaction pathway,inhibiting competing hydrogen generation,breaking binding-energy scaling relations of intermediates,and promoting CO_(2) mass transfer. In this review,we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of current developments in interface engineering for CO_(2) RR from both a theoretical and experimental stand-point,involving interfaces between metal and metal,metal and metal oxide,metal and nonmetal,metal oxide and metal oxide,organic molecules and inorganic materials,electrode and electrolyte,molecular catalysts and electrode,etc. Finally,the opportunities and challenges of interface engineering for CO_(2) RR are proposed.

化石燃料消耗排放的大量CO已经引发了一系列环境问题和能源危机。电化学CO还原反应(CORR)可以在温和条件下将CO转化为高附加值的化学品和燃料,被认为是解决上述问题的有效策略。寻找高效稳定的CO电还原催化剂至关重要。目前,Cu是唯一能将CO电还原为碳氢化合物、羧酸、醇等的金属催化剂,但其存在选择性较差等缺点。Cu基有机无机复合材料由于可以有效结合有机材料(多样性、柔韧性等)和无机材料(大表面积、导电性等)的优点而备受关注。在本论文中,我们采用电化学和湿化学方法制备得到了各种Cu基有机无机复合材料,其在电催化CORR中展现了良好的性能。具体结果如下:1.发展了电沉积和电还原方法,制备了一系列铜基有机无机复合材料,如:Cu NPs-CuO@HKUST-1 ED、Cu NPs-CuO@Cu HHTP ED和Cu NPs-CuO@Cu HHTP ED@HKUST-1 ED。在CORR中,Cu NPs-CuO@HKUST-1 ED可以将CO高效地转化成乙醇,在-0.6 V ***电位下其法拉第效率高达41.5%;而Cu NPs-CuO@Cu HHTP ED@HKUST-1 ED可以有效地将CO电还原为甲酸盐。2.发展了湿化学和电化学方法,在铜箔基底上可控生长了Cu(OH)纳米线阵列,又以此为铜源,生长得到了不同金属有机骨架(MOF)材料,如:Cu TATB和Cu-Ellagate,最终制备得到了Cu/Cu(OH)/Cu-MOF铜基有机无机复合材料,这些独特的多级结构可以有效结合有机材料和无机材料的优势。在CORR中,通过多孔MOFs纳米材料吸附CO并将其还原为CO(CORR的关键反应中间体),之后CO溢流到Cu(OH)表面,被进一步还原为高附加值化学品。

In the cloud environment,the transfer of data from one cloud server to another cloud server is called *** can be delivered in various ways,from one data centre to *** research aims to increase the migration performance of the virtual machine(VM)in the cloud *** allow cloud customers to store essential data and ***,server usage has grown dramatically due to the virtualization of computer systems,resulting in higher data centre power consumption,storage needs,and operating *** VMs on one data centre manage share resources like central processing unit(CPU)cache,network bandwidth,memory,and application ***-cloud,VMmigration addresses the performance degradation due to cloud server configuration,unbalanced traffic load,resource load management,and fault situations during data *** speed is influenced by the size of the VM,the dirty rate of the running application,and the latency ofmigration *** a result,evaluating VM migration performance while considering all of these factors becomes a difficult *** effort of this research is to assess migration problems on *** simulation results in Matlab show that if the VMsize grows,themigration time of VMs and the downtime can be impacted by three orders *** dirty page rate decreases,themigration time and the downtime grow,and the latency time decreases as network bandwidth increases during the migration time and post-migration overhead calculation when the VMtransfer is *** the simulated cases of VMs migration were performed in a fuzzy inference system with performance graphs.

Actuator Fault Monitoring and Fault Tolerant Control in Distillation Columns

This paper presents, from a practical viewpoint accommodation in distillation columns. Addressing faults in an investigation of real-time actuator fault detection, propagation and industrial processes, coupled with the growing demand for higher performance, improved safety and reliability necessitates implementation of less complex alternative control strategies in the events of malfunctions in actuators, sensors and or other system components. This work demonstrates frugality in the design and implementation of fault tolerant control system by integrating fault detection and diagnosis techniques with simple active restructurable feedback controllers and with backup feedback signals and switchable reference points to accommodate actuator fault in distillation columns based on a priori assessed control structures. A multivariate statistical process monitoring based fault detection and diagnosis technique through dynamic principal components analysis is integrated with one-point control or alternative control structure for prompt and effective fault detection, isolation and accommodation. The work also investigates effects of disturbances on fault propagation and detection. Specifically, the reflux and vapor boil-up control strategy used for a binary distillation column during normal operation is switched to one point control of the more valued product by utilizing the remaining healthy actuator. The proposed approach was implemented on two distillation processes： a simulated methanol-water separation column and the benchmark Shell standard heavy oil fractionation process to assess its effectiveness.

Hybrid firefly algorithm-neural network for battery remaining useful life estimation

Accurately estimating the remaining useful life(RUL)of batteries is crucial for optimizing maintenance,preventing failures,and enhancing reliability,thereby saving costs and *** study introduces a hybrid approach for estimating the RUL of a battery based on the firefly algorithm–neural network(FA–NN)model,in which the FA is employed as an optimizer to fine-tune the network weights and hidden layer biases in the *** performance of the FA–NN is comprehensively compared against two hybrid models,namely the harmony search algorithm(HSA)–NN and cultural algorithm(CA)–NN,as well as a single model,namely the autoregressive integrated moving average(ARIMA).The comparative analysis is based mean absolute error(MAE)and root mean squared error(RMSE).Findings reveal that the FA–NN outperforms the HSA–NN,CA–NN,and ARIMA in both employed metrics,demonstrating su-perior predictive capabilities for estimating the RUL of a ***,the FA–NN achieved a MAE of 2.5371 and a RMSE of 2.9488 compared with the HSA–NN with a MAE of 22.0583 and RMSE of 34.5154,the CA–NN with a MAE of 9.1189 and RMSE of 22.4646,and the ARIMA with a MAE of 494.6275 and RMSE of ***,the FA–NN exhibits significantly smaller maximum errors at 34.3737 compared with the HSA–NN at 490.3125,the CA–NN at 827.0163,and the ARIMA at 1.16e+03,further emphasizing its robust performance in minimizing prediction *** study offers important insights into battery health management,showing that the proposed method is a promising solution for precise RUL predictions.

Control of seed born mycobiota associated with Glycine max *** by a combination of traditional medicinal plants extracts

Seeds from soybean collected from different commercial markets were surveyed for seed-borne *** fungal colonies were isolated all over three monthly isolations constituting twenty-two fungal *** isolated fungi were belonging to the genera:Alternaria,Aspergillus,Cephalosporium,Chaetomium,Cladosporium,Colletotrichum,Curvularia,Fusarium,Macrophomina,Mucor,Penicillium,Rhizoctonia,Rhizopus,Sclerotium,Stemphylium,and *** of the antifungal activity of four ethanolic extracts of clove,cinnamon,garlic,and mint was carried out against the most common fungal species(Aspergillus flavus,***,Fusarium solani,***,and ***),which significantly reduced the growth of tested *** extract recorded the highest antimicrobial potentiality against the seed-borne fungal species,followed by cinnamon,garlic,and *** and cinnamon achieved minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)values less than that of the reference antifungal drug ***,garlic and mint recorded MIC values equal to or higher than that of control.A combination of clove and cinnamon,clove and garlic,cinnamon and garlic,cinnamon,and mint extracts increased the mean relative activity *** decreased MIC values below their values when used individually;this indicated synergistic interaction between the two extracts.A combination of clove with mint and garlic with mint recorded a decrease in the percentage of mean relative activity and an increase in MIC values than their values when used individually,indicating antagonistic interaction between them.
