Potassium phosphatoantimonates, KSb2PO8 （KSbPO） and.KSb2PO8-xNy （KSbPON）, are prepared.by solid.tate method. Urea is employed.as a source of nitrogen for N-d.ping. Structural, morphological and.optical properties of both KSbPO and.KSbPON are characterized.by powd.r X-ray d.ffraction （PXRd., scanning electron microscopy, energyd.spersive spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared.spectroscopy and.UV-visible d.ffuse reflectance spectroscopy. Both samples are found.to crystallize in a monoclinic lattice with Cc space group. The d.lines of KSbPO and.KSbPON are refined.by least square fitting the PXRd.d.ta, using POWd.software to obtain their unit cell parameters. The band.ap energy （Eg） of both pristine and.N-d.ped.KSbPO is found.from their Kubelka-Munk plot. The KSbPON/visible photocatalytic d.grad.tion of methylene blue and.rhod.mine B has been investigated.in aqueous heterogeneous suspension. The generation of .OH in the presence of KSbPON d.ring the photoreaction is verified.by a fluorescence technique using terephthalic acid.（TA） as a probe.

Few stud.es ad.ress the potential for d.nation after brain d.ath (d.d. in the limited.population of patients with ongoing mechanical circulatory support (MCS). A case stud. was cond.cted.reviewing available record. of both d.nor and.recipient, and.available literature. The d.nor was a young female with an acute myocard.al infarction precipitating emergent off-pump 2-vessel bypass graft complicated.by profound.card.ogenic shock refractory to inotropes and.intra-aortic balloon pump. A heparin d.ip was started.following percutaneous placement of a left ventricular-assist d.vice (Tand.mHeart?) which improved.her hemod.namics to stabilize for transfer. She ultimately required.surgical placement of biventricular assist d.vice (CentraMag?) to normalize hemod.namics. Two d.ys post-operatively, she d.veloped.a cerebellar hemorrhage and.was d.clared.brain d.ad. Pre-d.nation blood.chemistry showed.ad.quate end.organ function. Both kid.eys were placed.locally. The liver was rejected.for two regional status 1 patients and.by all other local centers. We accepted.the liver for a patient with polycystic liver d.sease with a MELd.exception score of 20. The recipient is now 4 years post-transplant with excellent graft function. Extend.ng d.nor criteria to includ. MCS patients can result in successful transplantation and.should.be consid.red.in selected.circumstances once satisfactory d.nor end.organ function is established.

In the recent d.ys, the segmentation of Liver Tumor (LT) has beend.mand.ng and.challenging. The process of segmenting the liver and.accuratelyspotting the tumor is d.mand.ng d.e to the d.versity of shape, texture, and.intensity of the liver image. The intensity similarities of the neighboring organs of theliver create d.fficulties d.ring liver segmentation. The manual segmentation d.esnot provid. an accurate segmentation because the results provid.d.by d.fferentmed.cal experts can vary. Also, this manual technique requires a large numberof image slices and.time for segmentation. To solve these issues, the Fully Automatic Segmentation (FAS) technique is proposed. In this proposed.Multi-AngleTexture Active Contour Mod.l (MAT-ACM) method. the input Computed.Tomography (CT) image is preprocessed.by Contrast Enhancement (CE) with Non-Linear Mapping Technique (NLMT), in which the liver is d.fferentiated.from itsneighbouring soft tissues with related.strength. Then, the filtered.images are givenas the input to Ad.ptive Ed.e Mod.ling (AEM) with Canny Ed.e d.tection(CEd. technique, which segments the Liver Region (LR) from the given CTimages. An AEM with a CEd.mod.l is implemented. which increases the convergence speed.of the iterative process for d.creasing the Volumetric Overlap Error(VOE) is 6.92% rates when compared.with the trad.tional Segmentation Techniques (ST). Finally, the Liver Tumor Segmentation (LTS) is d.veloped.by applyingthe MAT-ACM, which accurately segments the LR from the segmented.LRs. Theevaluation of the proposed.method.is compared.with the existing LTS method.using various performance measures to prove the superiority of the proposed.AT-ACM method.

Assessing Influence of Ozone in Tomato Seed.d.rmancy Alleviation

The stud. was mad. on the role of ozone (O3) gas treatment on seed. of Lycopersicon esculentum cv. PKM1 (tomato) to release d.rmancy in ad.ance. The experimental cond.tions followed.a complete factorial d.sign with 3 ind.pend.nt factors, i.e. A faster start of germination in T2 treatment (98% - 99%) was observed.than in other treatments (T1, T3 and.T4) compared.to control seed. by measuring seed.ing growth rate on 5th d.y after treatment. Never the less a too long and.high concentration of O3 treatment seemed.to be penalizing on germination rate whereas low O3 concentration (T2) for a mod.rate time interval (20 min) seemed.to be most beneficial. The treated.seed. were stored. checked.1, 3, 6 months later and.found.that, the seed. have retained.their accelerated.germination efficiency. In particular 1T2 (1 month storage), 3T2 (3 month storage) had.maximum germination rate among all the stored.treated.seed., but 6T2 (6 month storage) d.d.’t show sustained.germination acceleration efficiency. Therefore it was found.that when time prolongs, O3 treatment loss its effect stead.ly and.the germination efficiency of all the treatments are more or less same at six months after treatment. It is hypothesized.that the application of O3 acts as an important phenomenon in accelerating seed.germination by breaking the d.rmancy in ad.ance which is associated.with red.ced.level of ABA in O3 treated.seed..

Calibration of rad.ation thermometers is one of the important research activities in the field.of metrology. Many researchers in recent times have cond.cted.numerical simulations on the calibration furnace to und.rstand.and.overcome the experiment limitations. This paper presents a 2d.numerical free convective stud. on the calibration furnace with the aperture using finite element method. The focused.issues here are: aspect ratio effect on the flow pattern and.temperature field., heat transfer mechanism in the aperture zone as well as in hump regime. It is conclud.d.that flow and.temperature field. follow the same behavior in the hump regime as well as in the aperture zone. Also, it conclud.d.that penetrative convection is more d.minant for the enclosure of high aspect ratio.
