Objective:To assess the risk of aristolochic acid(AA)-associated cancer in patients with AA nephropathy(AAN).Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on patients diagnosed with AAN at Peking University First Hospital from January 1997 to December ***-term surveillance and follow-up data were analyzed to investigate the influence of different factors on the prevalence of *** primary endpoint was the incidence of liver cancer,and the secondary endpoint was the incidence of urinary cancer during 1 year after taking AA-containing medication to ***:A total of 337 patients diagnosed with AAN were included in this *** the initiation of taking AA to the termination of follow-up,39 patients were diagnosed with *** cases of liver cancer were observed throughout the entire follow-up period,with urinary cancer being the predominant type(34/39,87.17%).Logistic regression analysis showed that age,follow-up period,and diabetes were potential risk factors,however,the dosage of the drug was not significantly associated with urinary ***:No cases of liver cancer were observed at the end of ***,a high prevalence of urinary cancer was observed in AAN *** a direct causality between AA and HCC is challenging.

Future transportation is advancing in the direction of intelligent transportation systems, where an essential part is vehicle and pedestrian detection. Due to the complex urban traffic environment, vehicles and pedestrians in road monitoring have different forms of occlusion problems, resulting in the missed detection of objects. We design an improved you only look once version 7(YOLOv7) tiny algorithm for vehicle and pedestrian detection under occlusion, with the following four main improvements. In order to locate the object more accurately, 1 × 1 convolution and identity connection are added to the 3 × 3 convolution, and convolution reparameterization is used to enhance the inference speed of the network model. In view of the complex road background and more interference, the coordinate attention was added to the connection part of backbone and neck to enhance the network's capacity to detect the object and lessen interference from other targets. At the same time, before being sent to the detection head, global attention mechanism is added to improve the accuracy of model detection by capturing three-dimensional features. Considering the issue of imbalanced training samples, we propose focal complete intersection over union(CIOU) loss instead of CIOU loss to become the bounding box regression loss, so that the regression process attention to high-quality anchor boxes. Experiments show that the improved YOLOv7 tiny algorithm achieves 82.2%map@0.5 in Pattern Analysis, Statistical Modelling and Computational Learning Visual Object Classes(PASCAL VOC) dataset, which is 2.8% higher than before the improvement. The performance of map@0.5:0.95 is 5.2% better than the previous improvement. The proposed improved algorithm can availably to detect partial occlusion objects.

submodular optimization is widely used in large *** order to speed up the problems solving,it is essential to design low-adaptive algorithms to achieve acceleration in *** general,the function values are given by a value oracle,but in practice,the oracle queries may consume a lot of ***,how to strike a balance between optimizing them is *** this paper,we focus on maximizing a normalized and strictly monotone set function with the diminishing-return ratio under a cardinality constraint,and propose two algorithms to deal with *** apply the adaptive sequencing technique to devise the first algorithm,whose approximation ratio is arbitrarily close to 1-e^(-γ)in O(logn·log(log(k\γ))adaptive rounds,and requires O(logn^(2)·log(log(k\γ))*** by adding preprocessing and parameter estimation steps to the first algorithm,we get the second *** second algorithm trades a small sacrifice in adaptive complexity for a significant improvement in query *** the same approximation and adaptive complexity,the query complexity is improved *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first paper of designing adaptive algorithms for maximizing a monotone function using the diminishing-return ratio.

●AIM:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of scleral buckling for the treatment of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment(RRD)using a novel foldable capsular buckle(FCB).●METHODS:This was a series of case observation *** patients(18 eyes)who visited our ophthalmology department between August 2020 and August 2022 and were treated for RRD with scleral buckling using FCB were *** procedure was similar to conventional scleral buckling,while a balloon-like FCB was placed onto the retinal break with balanced salt solution filling for a broad,external indentation instead of the silicone *** retinal reattachment rate,best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),intraocular pressure(IOP),refractive dioptre and astigmatism degree,and complications were evaluated and recorded.●REsuLTS:There were 7 males and 11 females aged *** average time course of RRD was 12d,ranging from *** retinal break was located in the superior quadrants in 8 eyes and in the inferior quadrants in 10 eyes,with macula-off detachments in 12 *** patients were followed-up for at least *** final retinal reattachment rate was 100%.The BCVA was significantly improved compared with the baseline(P0.05).Three patients had transiently high IOPs within one week after *** diplopia occurred in 5 patients after surgery and then disappeared after the balloon fluid was removed.●CONCLUSION:The success rate of FCB scleral buckling for RRD is *** procedure can be expected to be applied in new,uncomplicated cases of RRD.

The current and potential impacts of global warming have generated widespread concerns about food security among all sectors of *** Asian countries located deep in the interior of Asia with fragile ecological environments and lower agricultural technology are particularly more prone to severe threats from climate *** on panel data acquired in five Central Asian countries from 1990 to 2019,a C-D-C model was developed to study how climate change affects food security in the region and to predict future *** study found that the level of food security has generally increased for these five Central Asian countries over the past 30 years,with Kazakhstan and Tajikistan having the highest and lowest food security levels,*** average annual temperature and precipitation exhibit an inverted U-shaped relationship with the region’s food security,with the most positive effect on the food security of *** high and low temperatures have significantly affected food security in the studied region,with Turkmenistan experiencing the most significant negative *** number of frost days had no significant effect on food *** analysis of future climate showed that the temperature and precipitation in Central Asia will continue to increase from 2030 to 2090,which will negatively impact the food security of these *** is recommended that the Central Asian countries enhance their understanding of climate risks,strengthen scientific climate research,and develop multiple adaptation strategies in ***,they are encouraged to consolidate international cooperation,reducing greenhouse gas emissions effectively and maintaining the ability to ensure food security.

A theoretical model for the multi-span spinning beams with elastic constraints under an axial compressive force is *** displacement and bending angle functions are represented through an improved Fourier series,which ensures the continuity of the derivative at the boundary and enhances the *** exact characteristic equations of the multi-span spinning beams with elastic constraints under an axial compressive force are derived by the Lagrange *** efficiency and accuracy of the present method are validated in comparison with the finite element method(FEM)and other *** effects of the boundary spring stiffness,the number of spans,the spinning velocity,and the axial compressive force on the dynamic characteristics of the multi-span spinning beams are *** results show that the present method can freely simulate any boundary constraints without modifying the solution *** elastic range of linear springs is larger than that of torsion springs,and it is not affected by the number of *** an increase in the axial compressive force,the attenuation rate of the natural frequency of a spinning beam with a large number of spans becomes larger,while the attenuation rate with an elastic boundary is lower than that under a classic simply supported boundary.

Photothermal carbon dioxide(CO_(2))methanation has attracted increasing interest in solar fuel synthesis,which employs the advantages of photocatalytic H_(2)O splitting as a hydrogen source and photothermal catalytic CO_(2) *** work prepared three-dimensional(3D)honeycomb N-doped carbon(NC)loaded with core–shell NiO@Ni nanoparticles generated in situ at 500℃(NiO@Ni/NC-500).Under the photothermal catalysis(200℃,1.5 W/cm^(2)),the CH_(4) evolution rate of NiO@Ni/NC-500 reached 5.5 mmol/(g·h),which is much higher than that of the photocatalysis(0.8 mmol/(g·h))and the thermal catalysis(3.7 mmol/(g·h)).It is found that the generated localized surface plasmon resonance enhances the injection of hot electrons from Ni to NiO,while thermal heating accelerates the thermal motion of radicals,thus generating a strong photo-thermal synergistic effect on the *** CO_(2) reduction to CH_(4) follows the*OCH *** work demonstrates the synergistic effect of NiO@Ni and NC can enhance the catalytic performance of photothermal CO_(2) reduction reaction coupled with water splitting reaction.

AIM:To characterize the distribution of meibomian gland(MG)area loss(MGL)and its relationship with demographic characteristics,mites,and ***:This retrospective observational study included patients who visited the Dry Eye Clinic of Shenzhen Eye Hospital between June 2020 and August *** patient characteristics,ocular symptoms,Demodex test results of the eyelid edges,and the results of a comprehensive ocular surface analysis were *** was analyzed using Image J ***:This study enrolled 1204 outpatients aged 20-80(40.70±13.44)y,including 357 males(29.65%)and 847 females(70.35%).The patients were classified into mild(n=155;12.87%),moderate(n=795;66.03%),severe(n=206;17.11%),and extremely severe(n=48;3.99%)MGL *** was significantly larger in female than in male(P=0.006).The degree of MGL also significantly differed in age(P<0.001)and the more numbers of mites with severity(P<0.001).Multivariate disordered multinomial logistic regression analysis identified that female sex,older age,secretory symptoms,and a large number of mites were risk factors for MGL(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Patients with MGL are more likely to be older,female,more numbers of mites,and increased secretion.
