The development of advanced aircraft relies on high performance thermal-structural materials,and carbon/carbon com-posites(C/C)composited with ultrahigh-temperature ceramics are ideal ***,the traditional routes of compositing are either inefficient and expensive or lead to a non-uniform distribution of ceramics in the *** with the traditional C/C-ZrC-SiC composites prepared by the reactive melt infiltration of ZrSi_(2),C/C-ZrB_(2)-ZrC-SiC composites prepared by the vacuum infiltration of ZrB_(2) combined with reactive melt infiltration have the higher content and more uniform distribution of the introduced ceramic *** mass and linear ablation rates of the C/C-ZrB_(2)-ZrC-SiC composites were respectively 68.9%and 29.7%lower than those of C/C-ZrC-SiC composites prepared by reactive melt *** ablation performance was improved because the volatilization of B_(2)O_(3),removes some of the heat,and the more uniformly distributed ZrO_(2),that helps produce a ZrO2-SiO2 continu-ous protective layer,hinders oxygen infiltration and decreases ablation.

Objective To clarify the potential mechanism of Banxia Xiexin Decoction(BXD)on colorectal cancer(CRC)from the perspective of *** Forty male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into normal control(NC),azoxymethane/dextran sulfate sodium(AOM/DSS)model,low-dose BXD(L-BXD),high-dose BXD(H-BXD)and mesalamine(MS)groups according to a random number table,8 mice in each *** cancer model was induced by AOM/*** was administered daily at doses of 3.915(L-BXD)and 15.66 g/kg(H-BXD)by gavage for consecutive 21 days,and 100 mg/kg MS was used as positive *** the entire modeling cycle,colon length of mice was measured and quantity of colorectal tumors were *** spleen and thymus index were determined by calculating the spleen/thymus weight to body *** cytokine and changes of serum metabolites were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits and ultra performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole/time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q/TOF-MS),*** Notably,BXD supplementation protected against weight loss,mitigated tumor formation,and diminished histologic damage in mice treated with AOM/DSS(Psuppressed expression of serum inflammatory enzymes,and improved the spleen and thymus index(P<0.05).Compared with the normal group,102 kinds of differential metabolites were screened in the AOM/DSS group,including 48 potential biomarkers,involving 18 main metabolic *** 18 potential biomarkers related to CRC were identified,and the anti-CRC mechanism of BXD was closely related to D-glutamine and D-glutamate metabolism,phenylalanine,tyrosine and tryptophan biosynthesis,arginine biosynthesis,nitrogen metabolism and so *** BXD exerts partial protective effects on AOM/DSS-induced CRC by reducing inflammation,protecting organism immunity ability,and regulating amino acid metabolism.

Regulating luminescent dynamics of lanthanide-based luminescent materials via external stimuli is of great significance in the fields of optical thermometry and high-level ***,it is still a huge challenge to realize multimodal emissions with tunable color outputs from a single activator in simple structures via smart dynamic control of photon transition ***,we present a mechanistic strategy to achieve multimodal luminescence of Er^(3+)activators with color-switchable outputs in a non-core-shell *** the control of excitation dynamics(λ_(ex)=980,808,1532,377 nm),the population among the intermediate en ergy levels of Er^(3+)and the interaction between Er^(3+)and Yb^(3+)could be precisely modulated through energy transfer and migration processes,leading to the generation of colortunable multimodal luminescence upon diverse excitation modes(non-steady-state,single-/dual-wavelength steady,thermal activation).Inspired by its special luminescent performance,the as-obtained material exhibits great potential in noncontact thermometry,multimodal anticounterfeiting,and high-capacity information encryption by performing a series of proof-of-concept *** findings might provide a conceptual model to modulate the luminescent dynamics in a simple-structured system for the generation of color-adjustable multimodal emissions,which is convenient for the development of advanced luminescent materials toward versatile cuttingedge applications.

Tungsten(W),as a plasma-facing material,is subjected to high fluence plasma,resulting in both radiation damage and deuterium(D) *** study explores the blistering behavior and D supersaturated layers in both pre-damaged and undamaged W *** achieve a uniform damage profile similar to neutron irradiation,carbon(C) ions with multiple energies and angles were *** samples were further irradiated with low-energy D ions under two fluences at temperatures from ～380 to 640 *** various experimental techniques,we found that pre-damaged W samples can effectively suppress the formation of blistering and lower the threshold temperature at which the surface remains free of *** also observed the prominent D supersaturated peaks within the depth of 20 nm in both pre-damaged and undamaged ***,a close correlation between blistering and the D supersaturation was *** results suggest that neutron irradiation in the fusion reactors could increase the critical D concentration for blistering,while a greater depth of damage facilitated the inward diffusion of D,thereby reducing the D concentration gradient and alleviating surface blistering.

The onset,evolution,and propagation processes of convective cells can be reflected by the organizational morphology of mesoscale convective systems(MCSs),which are key factors in determining the potential for heavy *** paper proposed a method for objectively classifying and segmenting MCSs using geosynchronous satellite *** of the product relative to the classification in radar composite reflectivity imagery indicates that the algorithm offers skill for discriminating between convective and stratiform areas and matched 65%of convective area identifications in radar imagery with a false alarm rate of 39%and an accuracy of 94%.A quantitative evaluation of the similarity between the structures of 50 MCSs randomly obtained from satellite and radar observations shows that the similarity was as high as 60%.For further testing,the organizational modes of the MCS that caused the heavy precipitation in Northwest China on August 21,2016(hereinafter known as the“0821”rainstorm)were *** was found that the MCS,accompanied by the“0821”rainstorm,successively exhibited modes of the isolated cell,squall line with parallel stratiform(PS)rain,and non-linear system during its life *** them,the PS mode might have played a key role in causing this *** findings are in line with previous studies.

The prevalence of hyperlipidemia has increased significantly due to genetic, dietary, nutritional and pharmacological factors, and has become one of the most common pathological conditions in humans. Hyperlipidemia can lead to a range of diseases such as atherosclerosis, stroke, coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, diabetes, and kidney failure, etc. High circulating low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) is one of the causes of hyperlipidemia. LDL-C in the blood binds to LDL receptor (LDLR) and regulates cholesterol homeostasis through endocytosis. In contrast, proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) mediates LDLR degradation via the intracellular and extracellular pathways, leading to hyperlipidemia. Targeting PCSK9-synthesizing transcription factors and downstream molecules are important for development of new lipid-lowering drugs. Clinical trials regarding PCSK9 inhibitors have demonstrated a reduction in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease events. The purpose of this review was to explore the target and mechanism of intracellular and extracellular pathways in degradation of LDLR and related drugs by PCSK9 in order to open up a new pathway for the development of new lipid-lowering drugs.
