规律的体力活动有助于提高人的健康状况及生活质量。然而,美国《2020健康人群》中的数据显示,仅有18.8%的美国成年人达到了《2008美国人体力活动指南》(2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans)中提出的有关有氧活动和强壮肌肉活动的推荐量。为此,美国在提高居民体力活动水平上做出了不懈的努力。本文简要介绍美国为促进全民体力活动采取的主要策略、有助于体力活动干预研究的政策分析框架、行为改变理论及3项研究实例。2010年,美国出台了《全民体力活动促进计划》(The national Physical Activity Plan,nPAP),该计划包含了政策推荐、实践经验及措施等一系列增加居民体力活动的策略,试图通过在全国范围内营造"活跃的生活方式"的文化氛围,促进更多人达到《2008美国人体力活动指南》中的体力活动推荐量。《全民体力活动促进计划》的内容涉及公共卫生、教育、城市规划、医疗保健、企业及行业、休闲娱乐及运动健身、非营利机构和大众传媒在内的8个领域,共有5个总策略、52个特定部门的策略及相对应的215个分策略,且部分策略制定了一年及五年目标。2011年,专家组对《全民体力活动促进计划》进行了过程评价,以监督计划的实施情况,并为计划的改进提供建议。过程评价采用定性及定量研究方法,对一年内开展的活动、目标完成情况、经验教训等进行总结。这一年内,《全民体力活动促进计划》的实施取得了可喜成绩,但仍存在诸多挑战,如缺乏长期的资金支持、各领域之间需加强沟通及合作、计划内容需及时更新以保证与体力活动及公共卫生领域的发展同步等。人的体力活动是一种复杂的行为,按照不同行为改变理论,其影响因素亦不同。许多科学研究及实践已经采用行为改变理论为指导进行体力活动的干预,以保证干预效果。有些行为改变理论(如生态学模型)认为,支持性政策是促进行为改变的有效手段之一。在制定支持性政策的复杂过程中,政策分析框架将有助于政策的设计及对政策实施效果进行评估。本文简要介绍常用于促进体力活动增加的政策分析框架:社区行动模型(Community Action Model)、RE-AIM框架(RE-AIM Framework)和健康影响评估(Health Impact Assessment),以及常用于促进体力活动增加的行为改变理论:生态学模型(Ecological Model)、社会认知理论(Social Cognitive Theory)和跨理论模型(Transtheoretical Model)。本文还通过3项研究实例,增加读者对生活方式干预研究的进一步认识。本文希望通过对当前美国有关体力活动促进的经验介绍,为制定或完善体力活动计划及体力活动干预方案提供参考。

This retrospective cohort study examined the relationship between self-reported participation in flexibility and muscular strengthening activities and the development of functional limitation(i.e.,once an individual has difficulty with or becomes unable to perform activities of daily living).Data were obtained from 1318 adults(mean age 49.59.7 years;98.7%Caucasian;14.9%female)enrolled in the Aerobics Center Longitudinal Study from 1979 to 2004 and free of functional limitation at ***-back health surveys were used to prospectively determine incident functional *** in muscle-strengthening and flexibility activities was assessed via *** logistic regression analyses were used to determine the odds ratios(OR)and corresponding 95%confidence intervals for developing functional limitation during follow-up based on participation in general and specific categories of flexibility(‘Stretching’,‘Calisthenics’,or‘Exercise Class’)and musclestrengthening activities(‘Calisthenics’,‘Free Weights’,‘Weight Training Machines’,or‘Other’).Overall,42.6%of the sample reported incident functional *** adjusting for potential confounders(e.g.,age,sex,cardiometabolic risk factors),those who reported performing muscle-strengthening activities in general(n=685)were at lower risk of developing functional limitation[OR=0.79(0.63–1.00)].In addition,the specific flexibility activities of stretching(n=491)and calisthenics(n=122)were associated with 24%and 38%decreased odds of incident functional limitation,*** muscle-strengthening,stretching,and calisthenics activities are prospectively associated with decreased risk of incident functional limitation in generally healthy,middleaged and older ***,both public health and rehabilitation programs should highlight the importance of flexibility and muscle-strengthening activities during adulthood to help preserve functional capacity.

This experimental study investigates the friction and wear of three coatings commonly used in industrial applications,particularly in hydrodynamic *** three materials under investigation were Babbitt,polyether ether ketone(PEEK)reinforced with 15%carbon fibers,and PEEK reinforced with 20%carbon *** first polymer material was extruded,while the other was produced by fused deposition modelling(FDM).The materials were subjected to sliding tests in a pin-on-disc configuration,with a steel ball serving as the counter *** tests were conducted at room temperature,with a load of 10 n and under three different lubrication conditions:dry,grease,and *** linear speed was set at 0.3 m/s for the dry and semi-solid lubrication tests,while for the oil tests,the speed was set at 0.25 m/*** greases used had consistency grades of nGLI 000 and nGLI *** ISO VG 68 circulation oil was used for the oil lubrication ***,thermodynamic analyses were performed under the most severe conditions(i.e.,dry)to investigate the steel-Babbitt and steel-PEEK contact.

Thermodynamic analysis of metal segregation in dual phase high entropy ceramics

Equilibrium Gibbs'free energy calculations were used to determine metal segregation trends between boride and carbide solid solutions containing two metals that are relevant to dual phase high entropy *** model predicted that Ti had the strongest tendency to segregate to the boride phase followed by Zr,nb,Mo,V,Hf,and Ta,which matches experimental results of measured *** ratio of a metal in the carbide phase to the content of the same metal in the corresponding metal boride had a linear trend with the change in standard Gibbs'free energy of reaction for a metal carbide reacting with B_(4)C to produce its corresponding metal boride and *** proposed model was used to predict the changes in standard Gibbs'free energy for CrC→CrB_(2) to be−260 kJ and WC→WB_(2) to be 148 kJ,which indicates that Cr has the strongest segregation to the boride and W has the strongest segregation to the *** proposed model can be used to estimate the segregation of metals in dual phase high entropy boride-carbide ceramics of any boride/carbide ratio or metal content.

To help determine in what ways virtual reality(VR)technologies may benefit reservoir engineering workflows,we conducted a usability study on a prototype VR tool for performing reservoir model analysis *** leveraging the strengths of VR technologies,this tool’s aim is to help advance reservoir analysis workflows beyond conventional methods by improving how one understands,analyzes,and interacts with reservoir model *** evaluate our tool’s VR approach to this,the study presented herein was conducted with reservoir engineering experts who used the VR tool to perform three common reservoir model analysis tasks:the spatial filtering of model cells using movable planes,the cross-comparison of multiple models,and well path *** study found that accomplishing these tasks with the VR tool was generally regarded as easier,quicker,more effective,and more intuitive than traditional model analysis software while maintaining a feeling of low task workload on ***,participants provided positive feedback regarding their experience with using VR to perform reservoir engineering work tasks,and in general,it was found to improve multi-model cross-analysis and rough object manipulation in *** indicates the potential for VR to be better than conventional means for some work tasks and participants also expressed they could see it best utilized as an addition to current software in their reservoir model analysis *** were,however,some concerns voiced when considering the full adoption of VR into their work that would be best first addressed before this took place.

Self-assembled molecular networks(SAMns)formed on crystalline solid substrates result from the spontaneous arrangement of individual molecules into structured *** interaction between molecules and the substrate leads to a nonrandom orientation of SAMns with respect to the substrate’s *** the case of graphite,the sixfold rotational symmetry of the substrate results in an equivalent rotational degeneracy in the orientation of *** this study,we explored how nanoconfinement,that is,the restriction of SAMn formation to nanometersized areas,known as nanocorrals,could impact and potentially alleviate the orientational degeneracy of SAMns,with emphasis on the influence of molecule symmetry,size,and intermolecular *** this end,we investigated the orientation distribution of n-alkanes and functionalized alkanes within nanocorrals,which were fabricated using scanning tunneling microscopy lithography(nanoshaving).We observed lifting of orientational degeneracy for long alkanes,contrary to shorter alkanes,which did not exhibit this orientation ***,functionalized alkanes with hydrogen bonding groups demonstrated preferential alignment regardless of length,highlighting the significance of stabilizing intermolecular interactions in the alignment *** study discussed the underlying principles of the molecular packing process and shed light on the complexity of molecular self-assembly in nanoconfined spaces.
