Base. on the.de.igne. e.pe.ime.t protocol, a non-parame.ric mode.ing me.hod with ke.ne.-base. re.ularization is ge.e.ally applie. to e.timate.the.oxyge. uptake.change. during the.switching stairs e.e.cise. which close.y re.e.ble. daily life.activitie.. The.mode.ing re.ults indicate.the.e.fe.tive.e.s of the.non-parame.ric mode.ing approach whe. compare. to fixe.-orde. mode.s in te.ms of accuracy, stability, and compatibility. The.influe.ce.of e.e.cise.duration on e.timate. fitne.s re.e.ls that the.mode. of the.phase.oxyge. uptake.syste. is not time.invariant re.ate. to re.piratory me.abolism re.ulation and muscle.fatigue. (0.4 ha) we.e.no-till se.de. in thre. conse.utive.ye.rs into soybe.n stubble.in autumn, fe.tilize., and graze. the.following spring ne.r Ithaca, Ne. USA. e.ch pasture.(n = 3) was continuously stocke. in spring with four ye.rling ste.rs (380 ± 38 kg) for 17, 32, and 28 d in 2005, 2006, and 2007, re.pe.tive.y. In 2005, ave.age.daily gain (ADG) for ste.rs grazing triticale.e.ce.de. the.ADG for whe.t by 0.31 kghd-1d-1. In 2006, whe.t ADG e.ce.de. that for triticale.by 0.12 kghd-1d-1.
