In this paper,an outer-rotor parallel-hybrid-excited vernier machine is *** order to realize the parallel hybrid excitation,the homopolar configuration is adopted to artfully combine the permanent magnet(PM)flux path and the electromagnet flux path ***,the structure of the proposed machine is ***,its operating principle is studied and ***,its performance for flux regulation is analyzed based on the 3-D finite element ***,the prototype of the proposed machine is manufactured and tested to verify the analytical results.

Background:Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS)is currently an incurable disease without highly effective pharmacological *** peptide drug GM604(GM6 or Alirinetide)was developed as a candidate ALS therapy,which has demonstrated safety and good drug-like properties with a favorable pharmacokinetic ***6 is hypothesized to bolster neuron survival through the multi-target regulation of developmental pathways,but mechanisms of action are not fully ***:This study used RNA-seq to evaluate transcriptome responses in SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells following GM6 treatment(6,24 and 48 h).Results:we identified 2867 protein-coding genes with expression significantly altered by GM6(FDRhog signaling components,with increased expression of developmental genes mediating neurogenesis and axon *** GM6 treatment(24 and 48 h)altered the expression of genes contributing to cell adhesion and the extracellular ***6 further down-regulated the expression of genes associated with mitochondria,inflammatory responses,mRNA processing and chromatin ***6-increased genes were located near GC-rich motifs interacting with C2H2 zinc finger transcription factors,whereas GM6-decreased genes were located near AT-rich motifs associated with helix-turn-helix homeodomain *** motifs interacted with a diverse network of transcription factors encoded by GM6-regulated genes(STAT3,hoXD11,HES7,GLI1).we identified 77 ALS-associated genes with expression significantly altered by GM6 treatment(FDRwhich were known to function in neurogenesis,axon guidance and the intrinsic apoptosis ***:Our findings support the hypothesis that GM6 acts through developmental-stage pathways to influence neuron *** expression responses were consistent with neurotrophic effects,ECM modulation,and activation of the Notch and hedgehog neurodevelopmental *** multif

The structure [MnmTPP][Me2DCNQI] （TPP = tetraphenylporphinato; Me2DCNQI = 2,5-dimethyl-N,N＇-dicyanoquinonediimine） has been determined from X-ray powder diffraction data. The nonsolvated structure is composed of linear （I-D） chains of alternating [MnmTPP]＋ and ta-[MezDCNQI]＇- with intrachain Mn...Mn separations of 12.83 A, and a Mn-NDcNQI distance of 2.18A. The dihedral angle between the mean Mn（N4）xpp and [MezDCNQI]＇-planes, and the Mn-（N-C）ocNQ1 angle are 84.18° and 143.6°, respectively. [MnInTpP][MezDCNQI] has a Tc of 4.3 k from the 10 Hz x（T） data, 2-k coercivity of 5,600 Oe, and 6,300 emuOe/mol remnant magnetization that are reduced from that observed for related materials, and their in- clusion extends the magnetostructural correlation between the intrachain coupling and both the dihedral angle between the mean Mn（N4）xPp and [TCNE]＇-（TCNE --- tetracyanoethylene） planes and Mn-（N-C）Tcr angles. This is in accord with the in- trachain coupling arising from the overlap of the Mnm dz2-1ike singly occupied molecular orbital （SOMO） and the z component of the [TCNE]- π＊（π2＊） SOMO, which increases with decreasing dihedral angle between the mean Mn（N4）xep and [TCNE]＇- planes and Mn-（N-C）TcNE angle.

This paper considers the class of autonomous algebraic ordinary differential equations(AODEs)of order one,and studies their Liouvillian general *** particular,let F(y,w)=0 be a rational algebraic curve over *** authors give necessary and sufficient conditions for the autonomous first-order AODE F(y,y′)=0 to have a Liouvillian solution over ***,the authors show that a Liouvillian solutionαof this equation is either an algebraic function over C(x)or an algebraic function over C(exp(ax)).As a byproduct,these results lead to an algorithm for determining a Liouvillian general solution of an autonomous AODE of order one of genus *** parametrizations of rational algebraic curves play an important role on this method.

The three contemporary Chinese architects, namely Yung ho Chang, Liu Jiakun, and wang Shu, have often been labeled as the ＇avant-garde＇ or xianfeng architects in China. In response to the xionfeng architect labet, wang claims that he is a houfeng （rear-guard） architect because of his obsession with traditions. This paper aims to discuss the appropriateness of labeling these architects as ＇avant-garde,＇ xianfeng, or houfeng. Through the theoreticat anatysis of western discourse, notable attributes of the western architectural avant-garde are identified, and a tentative framework is developed to test its validity and usefulness in a non-western context. The term youleng is arguably a better phrase to describe these three Chinese architects considering the heterogeneous trajectory of modernity in China.

Background Rosuvastatin has been claimed to be more potent than other statins in its ability to lower the low-density lipoprotein （LDL） cholesterol levels. This study aimed to investigate the clinical efficacy of rosuvastatin in LDL cholesterol lowering therapy for new or switched hyperlipidaemic Chinese patients. Methods This study was a retrospective one in patients who took rosuvastatin in the outpatient clinics of Prince of wales hospital during the period of July 1,2004 to June 30, 2005. The prescribing pattern, the utilization pattern and the side effect profile were recorded. Attainment of lipid goals for each patient was assessed according to the National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel （NCEP ATP） III guidelines. Results A total of 261 Chinese patients （mean age （64.8±12） years; 55.6% male） were recruited into the study. The mean LDL-cholesterol level was （3.50±1.29） mmol/L prior to Rosuvastatin and （2.30±1.73） mmol/L after Rosuvastatin treatment （P 〈0.0001）. Rosuvastatin raised the LDL-cholesterol goal achievement rate from 28.0% to 74.3% in all patients combined （P 〈0.0001） and from 11.0% to 79.0% for statin naive patients （P 〈0.0001）. Approximately 4% of patients developed side effects including myalgia, elevated liver enzymes, and dizziness. Conclusion Rosuvastatin was effective in improving LDL-cholesterol goal attainment and lowering LDL-cholesterol and triglyceride （TG） levels in either newly started or switched patients.

Gd2O3:Er^3+nanophosphors were fabricated by the combustion method in presence of Na2 ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid(EDTA-Na2)as fuel at not high temperature(≤350℃)within a very short time of 5 *** added concentration of Er^3+ions in Gd2O3 matrix was changed from 0.5 mol%to 5.0 mol%.The X-ray diffraction pattern of samples indicates the monoclinic structure of Gd2O3:Er^3+.The morphology and chemical composition analysis of the Gd2O3:Er^3+samples are characterized by a field emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM)and a Fourier-transform infrared spectrometer(FTIR).The photoluminescence(PL),photo luminescence excitation(PLE)and upconversion(UC)at room temperature of the prepared materials with different concentrations of Er^3+were *** PL of Gd2O3:Er^3+nanomaterials are shown in visible at 545,594,623,648,688 nm under excitation at 275 *** emission bands from transitions of Er^3+from 2P3/2 to 4F9/2 are observed,UC luminescent spectra of the Gd2O3:Er^3+/silica nanocomposites under 976 nm excitation show the bands at 548 and 670 *** influence of excitation power at 980 nm for transitions were measured and *** results indicate that the upconversion process of Gd2O3:Er^3+/silica is two photons absorption *** low temperature dependence of UC luminescent intensities of the main bands of Gd2O3:Er^3+was investigated towards development of a nanotemperature sensor in the range of 10-300 k.
