Ribosomopathies encompass a spectrum of disorders arising from impaired ribosome biogenesis and reduced *** or dysexpression of the genes that disturb any finely regulated steps of ribosome biogenesis can result in different types of ribosomopathies in clinic,collectively known as ribosomopathy *** data suggest that ribosomopathy patients exhibit a significantly heightened susceptibility to *** ribosome biogenesis and dysregulation of some ribosomopathy genes have also been found to be intimately associated with cancer *** correlation between ribosome biogenesis or ribosomopathy and the development of malignancies has been well *** work aims to review the recent advances in the research of ribosomopathy genes among human cancers and meanwhile,to excavate the potential role of these genes,which have not or rarely been reported in cancer,in the disease development across *** plan to establish a theoretical framework between the ribosomopathy gene and cancer development,to further facilitate the potential of these genes as diagnostic biomarker as well as pharmaceutical targets for cancer treatment.

Flame-assisted ultrafast synthesis of functionalized carbon nanosheets for high-performance sodium storage

The unique structural features of hard carbon(HC)make it a promising anode candidate for sodium-ion batteries(sIB).However,traditional methods of preparing HC require special equipment,long reaction times,and large energy consumption,resulting in low throughputs and *** our contribution,a novel synthesis method is proposed,involving the formation of HC nanosheets(Ns-CNs)within minutes by creating an anoxic environment through flame combustion and further introducing sulfur and nitrogen sources to achieve heteroatom *** effect of heterogeneous element doping on the microstructure of HC is quantitatively analyzed by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and image processing *** with density functional theory calculation,it is verified that the functionalized HC exhibits stronger Na^(+)adsorption ability,electron gain ability,and Na^(+)migration *** a result,Ns-CNs as sIB anodes provide an ultrahigh reversible capacity of 542.7mAh g^(-1) at 0.1Ag^(-1),and excellent rate performance with a reversible capacity of 236.4mAh g^(-1) at 2Ag^(-1) after 1200 ***,full cell assembled with Ns-CNs as the can present 230mAh g^(-1) at 0.5Ag^(-1) after 150 ***,in/ex situ techniques confirm that the excellent sodium storage properties of Ns-CNs are due to the construction of abundant active sites based on the novel synthesis method for realizing the reversible adsorption of Na^(+).This work provides a novel strategy to develop novel carbons and gives deep insights for the further investigation of facile preparation methods to develop high-performance carbon anodes for alkali-ion batteries.

BACKGROUND Endoscopic management is the first-line therapy for post-liver-transplant anas-tomotic *** the optimal duration of treatment with plastic stents has been reported to be 8-12 months,data on safety and duration for metal stents in this setting is *** to limited access to endoscopic retrograde cholan-giopancreatography(ERCP)during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic in our centre,there was a change in practice towards increased usage and length-of-stay of the Kaffes biliary intraductal self-expanding stent in patients with suitable *** was mainly due to the theoretical benefit of Kaffes stents allowing for longer indwelling periods compared to the traditional plastic *** Adult liver transplant recipients aged 18 years and above who underwent ERCP were retrospectively identified during a 10-year period through a database *** admissions post-Kaffes stent insertion were identified manually through electronic and scanned medical *** main outcome was the incidence of complications when stents were left indwelling for 3 months vs 6 *** efficacy was calculated via rates of stricture recurrence between patients that had stenting courses for≤120 d or>120 *** During the study period,a total of 66 ERCPs with Kaffes insertion were performed in 54 patients throughout their stenting *** 33 ERCPs,the stent was removed or exchanged on a 3-month *** pancreatitis,perfor-ations or deaths *** post-ERCP complications were similar between the 3-month(abdominal pain and intraductal migration)and 6-month(abdominal pain,septic shower and embedded stent)groups-6.1%vs 9.1%respectively,P=*** strictures resolved at the end of the stenting course,but the stenting course was variable from 3 to 22 *** recurrence rate for stenting courses lasting for up to 120 d was 71.4%and 21.4%for stenting courses of 121 d or over(P=0.03).There were 28 patients that were treated with a sin

The commercial viability of thermoelectric(TE)devices relies heavily on two factors:cost reduction and efficiency *** this study,we first produce p-type Cu_(12)sb_(4)s_(16-x)(x=0,3,4)using a low-temperature bottom-up approach and demonstrate Cu_(12)sb_(4)s_(13)to show the best TE performance among the three tested ***,the TE energy conversion efficiency of Cu_(12)sb_(4)s_(13)is further enhanced by optimizing its electronic band structure through the incorporation of small amounts of *** an optimal Te content of 5 mol%,more than a twofold increase in the TE figure of merit(zT)is *** gain insight into the mechanism of improvement on the transport properties of the mate-rial,we compare the interphase transport mechanism by incorporating nanodomains of different metals(Ag and Cu)into the Cu_(12)sb_(4)s_(13)*** improved electrical conductivity obtained with Cu_(12)sb_(4)s_(13)-Te nanocomposites is attributed to a charge flooding of the Cu_(12)sb_(4)s_(13)*** contrast,excessive down-ward band-bending at the interphases of Ag/Cu metal-semiconductor drastically reduces the electrical ***,a weighted mobility(μw)analysis shows a dominant thermal activation of carri-ers in Cu_(12)sb_(4)s_(13)-Te *** this material,a strong decrease in lattice thermal conductivity is also found,which is associated with a phonon-carrier scattering *** work shows the impor-tance of proper band-engineering in TE nanocomposites to decouple electrical and thermal transport to enhance TE performance,and the efficacy ofμw for electrical and thermal transport analysis.
