Altered electroencephalographic networks in developmental dyslexia after remedial training:a prospective case-control study

Electroencephalographic studies using graph theoretic analysis have found aberrations in functional connectivity in children with developmental ***,how the training with visual tasks can change the functional connectivity of the semantic network in developmental dyslexia is still *** looked for differences in local and global topological properties of functional networks between 21 healthy controls and 22 dyslexic children(8–9 years old)before and after training with visual tasks in this prospective case-control *** minimum spanning tree method was used to construct the subjects’brain networks in multiple electroencephalographic frequency ranges during a visual word/pseudoword discrimination *** found group differences in the theta,alpha,beta and gamma bands for four graph measures suggesting a more integrated network topology in dyslexics before the training compared to *** training,the network topology of dyslexic children had become more segregated and similar to that of the *** theθ,αandβ1-frequency bands,compared to the controls,the pre-training dyslexics exhibited a reduced degree and betweenness centrality of the left anterior temporal and parietal *** simultaneous appearance in the left hemisphere of hubs in temporal and parietal(α,β1),temporal and superior frontal cortex(θ,α),parietal and occipitotemporal cortices(β1),identified in the networks of normally developing children was not present in the brain networks of *** training,the hub distribution for dyslexics in the theta and beta1 bands had become similar to that of the *** summary,our findings point to a less efficient network configuration in dyslexics compared to a more optimal global organization in the *** is the first study to investigate the topological organization of functional brain networks of Bulgarian dyslexic *** for the study was obtained from the Ethics Committee of the Institute of Neur

A series of KY3F10 nanophosphors doped with Gd3＋, Ce3＋ and Eu3＋ ions were obtained with the use of a co-precipitation method. The resulting products were white precipitates, consisting of spherical particles with diameter about 150-200 nm, which was confirmed using transmission electron microscopy （TEM） technique. Powder X-ray diffraction （XRD） and energy dispersive X-ray analysis （EDX） measurements confirmed appropriate structures of the nanoparticles obtained. Spectroscopic properties of the prod- ucts were examined on the basis of the measured excitation/emission spectra and luminescence decay curves. The synthesized sam- ples showed orange-red luminescence, characteristic for Eu3＋ ions. The reaction process was performed in required alkaline pH ad- justed with the use of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid （EDTA） and potassium hydroxide. The samples containing large amounts of Gd3＋ dooant ions exhibited a tendencv to form nroducts with different momhologies.

The KLOE experiment at the φ-factory DAФPNE has measured the pion form factor in the range between 0.1 〈 Mππ^2 〈 0.85 GeV^2 using events taken at √s = 1 GeV with a photon emitted at large polar angles in the initial state. This measurement extends the Mππ^2 region covered by KLOE ISR measurements of the pion form factor down to the two pion production threshold. The value obtained in this measurement of the dipion contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment of △αμ^ππ= （478.5±2-0stat±4.8syst±2.9theo）·10^-10 further confirms the discrepancy between the Standard Model evaluation for αμ and the experimental value measured by the （g-2） collaboration at BNL.

The field of acousto-optical tomography （AOT） for medical applications began in the 1990s and has since developed multiple techniques for the detection of ultrasound-modulated light. Light becomes frequency shifted as it travels through an ultrasound beam. This ＂tagged＂ light can be detected and used for focused optical imaging. Here, we present a comprehensive overview of the techniques that have developed since around 2011 in the field of biomedical AOT. This includes how AOT has advanced by taken advantage of the research conducted in the ultrasound, as well as, the optical fields. Also, simulations and reconstruction algorithms have been formulated specifically for AOT imaging over this time period. Future progression of AOT relies on its ability to provide significant contributions to in vivo imaging for biomedical applications. We outline the challenges that AOT still faces to make in vivo imaging possible and what has been accomplished thus far, as well as possible future directions.

This study uses linear regression and composite analyses to identify a pronounced asymmetric connection of sea surface temperature(SST)in the Tasman Sea with the two opposite phases of El Ni?o-Southern Oscillation(ENSO)during austral *** El Ni?o years,the SST anomalies(SSTAs)in the Tasman Sea exhibit a dipolar pattern with weak warmth in the northwest and modest cooling in the southeast,while during La Ni?a years the SSTAs exhibit a basin-scale warmth with greater *** into the underlying mechanism suggest that this asymmetry arises from a mechanism related to oceanic heat transport,specifically the anomalous Ekman meridional heat transport induced by the zonal wind stress anomalies,rather than the surface heat fluxes on the air-sea *** analysis reveals that the asymmetry of oceanic heat transport between El Ni?o and La Ni?a years is driven by the asymmetric atmospheric circulation over the Tasman Sea stimulated by the asymmetric diabatic heating in the tropical Pacific between the two opposite ENSO phases.

Fluorinated organic compounds display significant impact in the fields of agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and materials science. However, very few fluorine-containing compounds are available from nature, and therefore studies of the distinct effect of fluorine substitution mainly depend on the ease of access to fluorinated scaffolds. Among fluorination strategies, the development and application of fluorinated diazo compounds has provided a convenient and effective method for the construction of various fluorinated structural moieties.
