Human intestinal microbiota create a complex polymi-crobial ecology. This is characterised by its high population density, wide diversity and complexity of interaction. Any dysbalance of this complex intestinal microbiome, both qualitative and quantitative, might have serious health consequence for a macro-organism, including small intestinal bacterial overgrowth syndrome (sIBO).sIBO is defined as an increase in the number and/or alteration in the type of bacteria in the upper gastro-intestinal tract. There are several endogenous defence mechanisms for preventing bacterial overgrowth: gastric acid secretion, intestinal motility, intact ileo-caecal valve, immunoglobulins within intestinal secretion and bacte-riostatic properties of pancreatic and biliary secretion. Aetiology of sIBO is usually complex, associated with disorders of protective antibacterial mechanisms (e.g. achlorhydria, pancreatic exocrine insuff iciency, immuno-deficiency syndromes), anatomical abnormalities (e.g. small intestinal obstruction, diverticula, f istulae, surgical blind loop, previous ileo-caecal resections) and/or motility disorders (e.g. scleroderma, autonomic neuropathy in diabetes mellitus, post-radiation enteropathy, small intestinal pseudo-obstruction). In some patients more than one factor may be involved. symptoms related to sIBO are bloating, diarrhoea, malabsorption, weight loss and malnutrition. The gold standard for diagnosing sIBO is still microbial investigation of jejunal aspirates. Noninvasive hydrogen and methane breath tests are most commonly used for the diagnosis of sIBO using glucose or lactulose. Therapy for sIBO must be com-plex, addressing all causes, symptoms and complica-tions, and fully individualised. It should include treatment of the underlying disease, nutritional support and cyclical gastro-intestinal selective antibiotics. Prognosis is usually serious, determined mostly by the underlying disease that led to sIBO.

Method of Forming stable states of Dense High-Temperature Plasma

The concept of gravitational radiation as a radiation of one level with the electromagnetic radiation is based on theoretically proved and experimentally confirmed fact of existence of electron’s stationary states in own gravitational field, characterized by gravitational constant K = 1042 G (G-Newtonian gravitational constant) and by irremovable space-time curvature. The received results strictly correspond to principles of the relativistic theory of gravitation and the quantum mechanics. The given work contributes into further elaboration of the findings considering their application to dense high-temperature plasma of multiple-charge ions. This is due to quantitative character of electron gravitational radiation spectrum such that amplification of gravitational radiation may take place only in multiple-charge ion high-temperature plasma. In elaboration of the authors’ works [1-4], an essential instantiation of the concept of fusion plasma’s steady states formation (as the last paragraph outlines) and boundary conditions refinement in the electron’s stationary-states-in-proper-gravitational-field problem are appended to this article.

The availability and easy access of large-scale experimental and computational materials data have enabled the emergence of accelerated development of algorithms and models for materials property prediction,structure prediction,and generative design of ***,the lack of user-friendly materials informatics web servers has severely constrained the wide adoption of such tools in the daily practice of materials screening,tinkering,and design space exploration by materials *** we first survey current materials informatics web apps and then propose and develop ***,a web-based materials informatics toolbox for materials discovery,which includes a variety of routinely needed tools for exploratory materials discovery,including material’s composition and structure validity check (*** neutrality,electronegativity balance,dynamic stability,Pauling rules),materials property prediction (*** gap,elastic moduli,hardness,and thermal conductivity),search for hypothetical materials,and utility *** user-friendly tools can be freely accessed at http://*** argue that such materials informatics apps should be widely developed by the community to speed up materials discovery processes.

Is Gravitational Radiation a Radiation of the same Level as Electromagnetic Radiation?

The notion of gravitational radiation as a radiation of the same level as the electromagnetic radiation is based on the theoretically proven and experimentally confirmed facts of the existence of stationary states of an electron in its gravitational field, characterized by the gravitational constant K = 1042 G (G is Newtonian gravitational constant) and unrecoverable space-time curvature Λ. These experimental facts include, in particular, data on the broadening of the spectra of the characteristic radiation of multielectron atoms. This broadening of the spectra can be only due to the additional broadening mechanism, in particular the presence of excited states of electrons in their gravitational field. Another fact is the new line in the X-ray emission spectrum according to the results of observation with MOs-camera of the XMM-Newton observatory. This line unlike other identified lines of electromagnetic radiation cannot be assigned to any atomic transition.

A New Fairness-Oriented Packet scheduling scheme with Reduced Channel Feedback for OFDMA Packet Radio systems

In this paper, we propose a flexible and fairness-oriented packet scheduling approach for 3GPP UTRAN long term evolution (LTE) type packet radio systems, building on the ordinary proportional fair (PF) scheduling principle and channel quality indicator (CQI) feedback. special emphasis is also put on practical feedback reporting mechanisms, including the effects of mobile measurement and estimation errors, reporting delays, and CQI quantization and compression. The performance of the overall scheduling and feedback re-porting process is investigated in details, in terms of cell throughput, coverage and resource allocation fairness, by using extensive quasistatic cellular system simulations in practical OFDMA system environment with frequency reuse of 1. The performance simulations show that by using the proposed modified PF ap-proach, significant coverage improvements in the order of 50% can be obtained at the expense of only 10-15% throughput loss, for all reduced feedback reporting schemes. This reflects highly improved fairness in the radio resource management (RRM) compared to other existing schedulers, without essentially com-promising the cell capacity. Furthermore, we demonstrate the improved functionality increase in radio re-source management for UE’s utilizing multi-antenna diversity receivers.

Plasma activated water prepared by different plasma sources:physicochemical properties and decontamination effect on lentils sprouts

The pulsed corona discharge(CD)generated in contact with water and directly in water,and high-power air plasma jet(APJ)were studied for production of plasma activated water(PAW).The changes of physical(pH,redox potential,conductivity,temperature)and chemical(peroxides,nitrites,nitrates concentrations)properties of treated water were *** comparison of CD generated in gas/water interface and underwater configuration in the same system showed that the interaction of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species formed in ambient air in gas/water system induces different chemical processes,leading to lower pH,higher oxidation-reduction potential(ORP)and higher conductivity of PAW than in underwater *** yield of peroxide was observed in both *** PAW prepared by APJ exhibits high concentration of nitrites and nitrates according to supplied energy,and related significant decrease of pH and increase of ORP and conductivity after *** antimicrobial effect of PAW prepared by CD and plasma jet on lentils sprouts was studied in different treatment and washing *** APJ appears to have great efficacy on water activation resulted in strong decontamination *** PAW treated by APJ for 10 min led to bacterial reduction from initial 8.3 to 5.9 and 4.0 log10 CFU g^(-1)after 10 and 30 min of washing,respectively.

Viscosity of slags from the joint smelting of oxidized nickel and sulfide copper ores

The work is devoted to the viscosity determination of molten slags from the joint smelting of oxidized nickel and sulfide copper ores. The model slags were synthesized close in composition and structure to real samples， and limiting the investigated composition range: iron-containing slag (8.9 wt.% CaO， 11.8 MgO， 12.5 Al2O3， 47.4 siO2， 13.3 FeO， 5.0 Fe2O3) and iron-free slag formed by removing iron oxides from the iron-containing slag (12.5 wt.% CaO， 16.0 MgO， 9.4 Al2O3， 58.3 siO2). The experimental (vibrational method) viscosity values for iron-containing (1550–1300 ℃) and iron-free (1550–1400 ℃) model slags were 3.1–23.3 and 12.8–45.5 dPa·s， respectively. Viscosity estimation by the Kalmanovitch–Frank model showed a discrepancy with the experimental data for iron-containing slag. Regression analysis (by Weimann–Frenkel–Urbain formalism) of the experimental data was carried out， and original empirical models were proposed to predict the primary model slags viscosity in the considered temperature range. Reducing the basicity from 0.7 (iron-containing slag) to 0.6 (iron-free slag) increased viscous flow activation energy from 204 to 236 kJ·mol–1. To maintain optimal slag viscosity， joint smelting of oxidized nickel and sulfide copper ores should be carried out at a temperature not lower than 1400 ℃.

Development of structure at Extrusion of a strip of Made of Cu through the DRECE Machinery

Achievement of ultra-fine grained (UFG) structure in the strip of sheet is one of the basic problems of the current research in the field of forming. Contrary to bulk forming (processes ECAP, HPT, Conform, etc.), it is much more difficult to achieve high degree of deformation during 5 to 7-8 passes by the processes ARB, C2s2 (DCAP). At extrusion of the strip of sheet with use of the process C2s2 the refinement of structure (e. g., in the sheet made of Al) is visible only after 12-15 passes. This is given by the possibility of use of only one type of passes designated in literature as "C" (pass with turning of material by 180°). This creates smaller number of different types of shear planes than at the passes of the type "Bc". The paper gives an analysis of influence of number of passes on structure refinement of a strip of Al sheet on the brand new prototype equipment, DRECE (Dual Rolling Equal Channel Extrusion). The process was mathematically simulated and results were mutually compared.
