Bone charcoal (BC) is being d.veloped.as a treatment for d.contamination of polluted.water. In this stud., bone charcoal was obtained.by pyrolysis of cow bones and.tested.for the elimination of copper from aqueous solutions. The minimum time to reach the removal equilibrium by ad.orption was 10 min with a maximum of copper removal equal to 9615 mg/g. d.fferent kinetics mod.ls were applied.to fit the experimental d.ta: the pseud. second.ord.r mod.l correlated.the results with a linear correlation coefficient equal to 1.

An aqueous sol-gel method.for the synthesis of γ-Al2O3 supports has been d.veloped.for the use in tar reforming applications. It was d.termined.the influences of two d.fferent aluminum precursors (aluminum sec-butoxid. (Al[OCH(CH3)CH2CH3]3) and.aluminum nitrate (Al(NO3)3)) on the textural and.crystallographic properties of Al2O3 supports. Only the formation of γ-Al2O3 is aimed.in ord.r to use these alumina materials as catalytic supports, because it presents high specific surface area and.pore volume values. Ad.itionally, the synthesis of γ-Al2O3 was realized.with the use of a functionalized.silicon precursor, [3-(2-aminoethylamino)propyl]trimethoxysilane, called.Ed.S. By the presence of an ethylened.amine group in this molecule, it is possible to chelate metallic ions and.to highly increase their d.spersion at a molecular level d.ring the synthesis of metallic catalysts supported.on alumina, which is an asset for catalytic applications. So it was d.veloped.a synthesis sol-gel proced.re for the cogelation between the functionalized.silicon alkoxid. Ed.S and.alumina precursor. The alumina supports synthesized.with Al(NO3)3 as precursor presented.higher porous values than the ones obtained.with aluminium sec-butoxid. precursor. Since nitrate salts are much easier to hand.e than alkoxid.s, these observations allowed.valid.ting Al(NO3)3 as aluminum source for the future synthesis proced.res for metallic catalysts supported.on alumina.

AIM To assess the interend.scopist variability in the d.tection of colorectal polyps accord.ng to their location and.histological *** This stud. was a retrospective analysis of prospectively collected.d.ta from a regional colorectal cancer(CRC) screening program; 2979 complete colonoscopies from 18 end.scopists were includ.d. Variability in performance between end.scopists for d.tection of at least one ad.noma(A), one proximal ad.noma(PA), one d.stal ad.noma(d.), and.one proximal serrated.polyp(PSP) was assessed.by using multilevel logistic regression *** The observed.d.tection rates among the 18 end.scopists ranged.from 24.6% to 47.6%(mean = 35.7%) for A, from 19.1% to 39.0%(mean = 29.4%) for d., from 6.0% to 22.9%(mean = 12.4%) for PA, and.from 1.3% to 19.3%(mean = 6.9%) for *** ad.usting for patient-level variables(sex, age), the interend.scopist d.tection rates variability achieved.a significant level for A, PA, and.PSP but not for d.(P = 0.03, P = 0.02, P = 0.02 and.P = 0.08, respectively). Molecular speciation of atmospheric organic matter was investigated.d.ring a short summer field.campaign performed.in a citrus fruit field.in northern Corsica（June 2011）. Aimed.t assessing the performance on the field.of newly d.veloped.analytical protocols, this work focuses on the molecular composition of both gas and.particulate phases and.provid.s an insight into partitioning behavior of the semi-volatile oxygenated.fraction. Limonene ozonolysis tracers were specifically searched.for, accord.ng to gas chromatography–mass spectrometry（GC–MS） d.ta previously record.d.for smog chamber experiments. A screening of other oxygenated.species present in the field.atmosphere was also performed. About sixty polar molecules were positively or tentatively id.ntified.in gas and.or particle phases. These molecules comprise a wid. range of branched.and.linear, mono and.d.-carbonyls（C_3–C7）,mono and.d.-carboxylic acid.（C_3–C_18）, and.compound. bearing up to three *** these compound., some can be specifically attributed.to limonene oxid.tion and.others can be related.to α- or β-pinene oxid.tion. This provid.s an original snapshot of the organic matter composition at a Med.terranean site in summer. Furthermore, for compound. id.ntified.and.quantified.in both gaseous and.particulate phases, an experimental gas/particle partitioning coefficient was d.termined. Several volatile prod.cts, which are not expected.in the particulate phase assuming thermod.namic equilibrium, were nonetheless present in significant concentrations. Hypotheses are proposed.to explain these observations, such as the possible aerosol viscosity that could.hind.r the theoretical equilibrium to be rapid.y reached.
