Neuroimaging in atypical normal tension glaucoma:debating routine implementation in the absence of classic neurological findings

●AIM:To assess the necessity of neuroimaging in patients with neurological or atypical findings of normal tension glaucoma(NTG)who do not exhibit typical glaucoma manifestations.●METHODS:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 90 atypical NTG patients who underwent cranial magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)due to atypical *** demographic characteristics,clinical parameters,and radiological findings were recorded.●RESULTS:Among the patients,66.7%had abnormal radiology results,with the most common findings being gliosis(34.4%),sequelae of cerebrovascular events and vascular malformations(14.4%),and benign intracranial mass lesions(11%).Non-glaucomatous visual field defects were more frequently observed in patients with abnormal neuroimaging ***,there were no significant differences in intraocular pressure,optic disc parameters,retinal nerve fiber layer thickness,and visual field indices between patients with normal and abnormal radiological *** mean age of the patients was ***,there was a significant age difference,with the abnormal radiology group having a higher median age(P=0.021).●CONCLUSION:The study highlights the importance of cranial imaging in older NTG patients to detect underlying pathologies and prevent *** suggests that neuroimaging may be warranted in NTG patients with atypical visual field defects incompatible with ***,routine neuroimaging in all NTG patients without classic neurological signs may not be necessary.

以小凌河中下游锦凌水库为例,结合水库移民系统信息的复杂性、不确定性特征及移民后期扶持监测数据,从收入结构、社会保障、生活条件、生产条件和基础设施5方面选择指标,运用熵值法与灰色系统模型评价移民后期扶持实施效果。结果表明:锦凌水库后期扶持政策的实施明显提升了移民的生产生活水平,灰色系统模型可以全面真实地反映水库移民后期扶持效果情况,实际应用时具有较强科学合理性,可为科学编制水库移民安置规划及促进移民后续稳定发展提供依据。

Vulnerability assessment and mapping play a crucial role in disaster risk reduction and planning for adaptation to a future *** is one of the most at-risk countries for earthquake disasters ***,it is imperative to develop effective earthquake vulnerability assessment and mapping at practically relevant *** this study,a holistic earthquake vulnerability index that addresses the multidimensional nature of earthquake vulnerability was *** the aim of representing the vulnerability as a continuum across space,buildings were set as the smallest unit of *** study area is in İzmit City of Turkey,with the exposed human and structural elements falling inside the most hazardous zone of *** index was represented by the building vulnerability,socioeconomic vulnerability,and vulnerability of the built *** minimize the subjectivity and uncertainty that the vulnerability indices based on expert knowledge are suffering from,an extension of the catastrophe progression method for the objective weighing of indicators was *** vulnerability index and components were mapped,a local spatial autocorrelation metric was employed where the hotspot maps demarcated the earthquake vulnerability,and the study quantitatively revealed an estimate of people at *** its objectivity and straightforward implementation,the method can aid decision support for disaster risk reduction and emergency management.

In this study,the effects of changing first wall materials and their thicknesses on a reactor were investigated to determine the displacement per atom(DPA)and gas production(helium and hydrogen)in the first wall,as well as the tritium breeding ratio(TBR)in the coolant and tritium breeding ***,the modeling of the magnetic fusion reactor was determined based on the blanket parameters of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor(ITER).Stainless steel(SS 316 LNIG),Oxide Dispersion Strengthened Steel alloy(PM2000 ODS),and China low-activation martensitic steel(CLAM)were used as the first wall(FW)*** family molten salt materials(FLiBe,FLiNaBe,FLiPb)and lithium oxide(LiO_(2))were considered the coolant and tritium production material in the blanket,*** transport calculations were performed using the wellknown 3D code MCNP5 using the continuous-energy Monte Carlo *** built-in continuous energy nuclear and atomic data libraries along with the Evaluated Nuclear Data file(ENDF)system(ENDF/B-V and ENDF/B-VI)were ***,the activity cross-section data library CLAW-IV was used to evaluate both the DPA values and gas production of the first wall(FW)*** interface computer program written in the FORTRAN 90 language to evaluate the MCNP5 outputs was developed for the fusion reactor *** results indicated that the best TBR value was obtained for the use of the FLiPb coolant,whereas depending on the thickness,the first wall replacement period in terms of radiation damage to all materials was between 6 and 11 years.

The Internet of Things(IoT)has aided in the development of new products and *** to the heterogeneity of IoT items and networks,traditional techniques cannot identify network ***-based solutions make it challenging to secure and manage IoT devices and services due to their *** the use of artificial intelligence eliminates the need to define rules,the training and retraining processes require additional processing *** study proposes a methodology for analyzing constrained devices in IoT *** examined the relationship between different sized samples from the Kitsune dataset to simulate the Mirai attack on IoT *** training and retraining stages for the Mirai attack were also evaluated for *** approaches are evaluated in smaller sample sizes to minimize training time on low-resource ***-validation was used to avoid overfitting classification methods during the learning *** used the Bootstrapping technique to generate 1000,10000,and 100000 samples to examine the performance metrics of different-sized variations of the *** this study,we demonstrated that a sample size of 10000 is sufficient for 99,56%accuracy and learning in the detection of Mirai attacks in IoT devices.

Understanding how soil fertility changes due to environmental conditions and stand-age-dependent forest attributes is important for local-scale forest *** evaluated the effects of stand-age-dependent forest attributes(plant community composition and litter stock)on soil and technosol fertility across two second-growth Atlantic forests(SGF)after the deposition of mining tailings in Mariana,southeastern *** hypothesized that technosol fertility in the SGF tailings is positively affected by plant community composition variability,stand age,and litter *** used total exchangeable bases and organic matter as fertility indicators for technosol and soil,and species composition and litter stock as stand-age-dependent forest *** results showed significant differences in the stand-age-dependent forest attributes and soil chemical properties between the two forest patches(SGF tailing and SGF non-tailing)***,there was a marked gradient of litter storage and fertility between soil and technosol that can be important forest recovery indicators for the affected plant ***,according to the tested models,we corroborated the hypothesis that technosol fertility is positively affected by stand age,plant community composition variability,and litter stock,which may contribute considerably to forest recovery on *** results demonstrate that the fertility predictors analyzed to explain the forest recovery on tailings can also be considered as ecological indicators for assessing forest restoration in areas impacted by mining tailings in Mariana.
