Feature Selection with Deep Belief Network for Epileptic Seizure Detection on EEG Signals

The term Epilepsy refers to a most commonly occurring brain disorder after a *** identification of incoming seizures significantly impacts the lives of people with *** detection of epileptic seizures(ES)has dramatically improved the life quality of the *** Electroencephalogram(EEG)related seizure detection mechanisms encountered several difficulties in *** EEGs are the non-stationary signal,and seizure patternswould changewith patients and recording ***,EEG data were disposed to wide noise varieties that adversely moved the recognition accuracy of *** intelligence(AI)methods in the domain of ES analysis use traditional deep learning(DL),and machine learning(ML)*** article introduces an Oppositional Aquila Optimizer-based Feature Selection with Deep Belief Network for Epileptic Seizure Detection(OAOFS-DBNECD)technique using EEG *** primary aim of the presented OAOFS-DBNECD system is to categorize and classify the presence of *** suggested OAOFS-DBNECD technique transforms the EEG signals *** format at the initial ***,the OAOFS technique selects an optimal subset of features using the preprocessed *** seizure classification,the presented OAOFS-DBNECD technique applies Artificial Ecosystem Optimizer(AEO)with a deep belief network(DBN)*** extensive range of simulations was performed on the benchmark dataset to ensure the enhanced performance of the presented OAOFS-DBNECD *** comparison study shows the significant outcomes of the OAOFS-DBNECD approach over other *** addition,the result of the suggested approach has been evaluated using the CHB-MIT database,and the findings demonstrate accuracy of 97.81%.These findings confirmed the best seizure categorization accuracy on the EEG data considered.

Effect of organo-modified montmorillonite nanoclay on mechanical,thermal and ablation behavior of carbon fiber/phenolic resin composites

The mechanical,thermal and ablation properties of carbon phenolic(C-Ph)composites(Type-I)reinforced with different weight percentages of organo-modified montmorillonite(o-MMT)nanoclay have been studied *** milling was used to disperse different weight(wt)percentages(0,1,2,4,6 wt.%)of nanoclay into phenolic *** changes to resin due to nanoclay was *** the other hand,nanoclay added phenolic matrix composites(Type-II)were prepared to study the dispersion of nanoclay in phenolic matrix by small angle X-ray scattering and thermal stability changes to the matrix by thermogravimetric analyser(TGA).This data was used to understand the mechanical,thermal and ablation properties of Type-I *** laminar shear strength(ILSS),flexural strength and flexural modulus of Type I composites increased by about 29%,12%and 7%respectively at2 wt.%addition of nanoclay beyond which these properties *** was attributed to reduced fiber volume fraction(%Vf)of Type-I composites due to nanoclay addition at such high *** ablation rate of Type-I composites was evaluated using oxy acetylene torch test at low heat flux(125 W/cm^(2))and high heat flux levels(500 W/cm^(2)).Mass ablation rates have increased at both flux levels marginally up to 2 wt.%addition of nanoclay beyond which it has increased *** is in contrast to increased thermal stability observed for Type-I and Type-II composites up to 2 wt.%addition of *** ablation rates due to nanoclay addition was attributed to higher insulation efficiency of nanolcay,which accumulates more heat energy in limited area behind the ablation front and self-propagating ablation mechanisms triggered by thermal decomposition of organic part of nanoclay.

One type of soft tissue lesions of the oral cavity is lipoma, which is a kind of benign tumor composed of mature lipid cells. Although the lipoma presents as one of the most common mesenchymal neoplasms, most tend to develop on the trunk and proximal portions of the extremities. However, lipomas in the oral and maxillofacial region are much less frequent. Here we present a case of an intraoral lipoma in a six year-old child.

Enhancing fatigue performance of AZ31 magnesium alloy components fabricated by cold metal transfer-based wire arc directed energy deposition through LPB

Cold Metal Transfer-Based Wire Arc Directed Energy Deposition(CMT-WA-DED)presents a promising avenue for the rapid fabrication of components crucial to automotive,shipbuilding,and aerospace ***,the susceptibility to fatigue of CMT-WA-DED-produced AZ31 Mg alloy components has impeded their widespread adoption for critical load-bearing *** this study,a comprehensive investigation into the fatigue behaviour of WA-DED-fabricated AZ31 Mg alloy has been carried out and compared to commercially available wrought AZ31 *** findings indicate that the as-deposited parts exhibit a lower fatigue life than wrought Mg alloy,primarily due to poor surface finish,tensile residual stress,porosity,and coarse grain microstructure inherent in the WA-DED *** Plasticity Burnishing(LPB)treatment is applied to mitigate these issues,which induce significant plastic deformation on the *** treatment resulted in a remarkable improvement of fatigue life by 42%,accompanied by a reduction in surface roughness,grain refinement and enhancement of compressive residual stress ***,during cyclic deformation,WA-DED specimens exhibited higher plasticity and dislocation density compared to both wrought and WA-DED+LPB specimens.A higher fraction of Low Angle Grain Boundaries(LAGBs)in WA-DED specimens contributed to multiple crack initiation sites and convoluted crack paths,ultimately leading to premature *** contrast,wrought and WA-DED+LPB specimens displayed a higher percentage of High Angle Grain Boundaries(HAGBs),which hindered dislocation movement and resulted in fewer crack initiation sites and less complex crack paths,thereby extending fatigue *** findings underscore the effectiveness of LPB as a post-processing technique to enhance the fatigue performance of WA-DED-fabricated AZ31 Mg alloy *** study highlights the importance of LPB surface treatment on AZ31 Mg components produced by CMT-WA-DED to remove surface d

Pre-Trained Deep Neural Network-Based Computer-Aided Breast Tumor Diagnosis Using ROI Structures

Deep neural network(DNN)based computer-aided breast tumor diagnosis(CABTD)method plays a vital role in the early detection and diagnosis of breast ***,a Brightness mode(B-mode)ultrasound image derives training feature samples that make closer isolation toward the infection ***,it is expensive due to a metaheuristic search of features occupying the global region of interest(ROI)structures of input ***,it may lead to the high computational complexity of the pre-trained DNN-based CABTD *** paper proposes a novel ensemble pretrained DNN-based CABTD method using global-and local-ROI-structures of B-mode ultrasound *** conveys the additional consideration of a local-ROI-structures for further enhan-cing the pretrained DNN-based CABTD method’s breast tumor diagnostic performance without degrading its visual *** features are extracted at various depths(18,50,and 101)from the global and local ROI structures and feed to support vector machine for better *** the experimental results,it has been observed that the combined local and global ROI structure of small depth residual network ResNet18(0.8 in%)has produced significant improve-ment in pixel ratio as compared to ResNet50(0.5 in%)and ResNet101(0.3 in%),***,the pretrained DNN-based CABTD methods have been tested by influencing local and global ROI structures to diagnose two specific breast tumors(Benign and Malignant)and improve the diagnostic accuracy(86%)compared to Dense Net,Alex Net,VGG Net,and Google ***,it reduces the computational complexity due to the small depth residual network ResNet18,respectively.

Computers have become an integral part of human *** are used in almost every field even in *** like computer vision-based pattern recognition are being used to detect diseases and pests like weeds affecting the *** Weeds are unwanted plants growing among crops competing for nutrients,water,and *** can significantly reduce the quality and yield of the crops incurring a huge loss to the *** paper investigates the use of texture features extracted from Laws’texture masks for discrimination of Carrot crops and weeds in digital ***’texture method is one of the popular methods used to extract texture features in medical image processing,though not much explored in plant-based images or agricultural *** experiment was carried out on two categories of benchmark digital image datasets of Carrot crop and Carrot weed respectively,which are publicly available.A total of 70 texture features were *** dimensionality reduction technique was used to get the optimal *** features were then used to train the Random Forest *** results and observations from the experiment showed that the classifier achieved above 94%accuracy.

In this paper, the flow of blood through catheterized artery with mild constriction at the outer wall is considered. The closed form solutions are obtained for velocity and microrotation components. The impedance （resistance to the flow） and wall shear stress are calculated. The effects of catheterization, coupling number, micropolar parameter, and height of the stenosis on impedance and wall shear stresses are discussed.

Embryo culture is an efficient way to conserve a medicinally important endangered forest tree species Strychnos potatorum

The present study reports a protocol for germination of Strychnos potatorum （ver. Tel. Chilla） using zygotic embryo culture as an embryo rescue method. A 100% germination rate was obtained by culturing the embryos on full-strength Murashige and Skoog＇s medium （MS） containing 20 g/L sucrose in comparison to McCown and Lloyd＇s Woody Plant Medium （WPM）. Germination rates decreased when the sucrose concentration was lower or higher than 20 g·L-1 . WPM/MS medium containing glucose at levels 30, 20, 15 g·L-1 showed a smaller percentage of germination and at quarter strength, WPM/MS medium with glucose did not respond. Multiple shoot formation was found at 1.0 2.0 mg/L BAP; 3.0 mg/L Kn; 2.0 mg/L TDZ on MS medium with 20 g·L-1 sucrose. Germination rates improved when the embryos were placed upright （vertically） in the medium. The in vitro germinated seedlings were acclimatized in a walk-in-chamber and maintained in the green house with the survival rate of 65% 75%. These plants were transferred to the field and were found to be phenotypically normal, healthy and similar to donor plants. This protocol will be useful to overcome seed dormancy and for rapid multiplication and conservation of S. potatorum using zygotic embryo culture.

In this article,we are exploring the hemodynamics of nanofluid,flowing through a bifurcated artery with atherosclerosis in the presence of a *** treating obstruction in the artery,one can use the catheter whose outer surface is carrying the drug coated with *** resultant solvent is considered as blood *** being a complex fluid,is modeled by couple stress *** the presence of nano-particles,the temperature and the concentration distribution are understood in a bifurcated stenotic *** concluded mathematical model is governed by coupled non-linear equations,and are solved by using the homotopy perturbation ***,we have explored is the effects of fluid and the embedded geometric parameters on the hemodynamics *** is also realized that high wall shear stress exists for couple stress nano-fluid when compared to Newtonian *** is computed at a location corresponding to maximum constriction(z=12.5)of the artery.
