Anti-ganglioside antibodies are associated with delayed/poor clinical recovery in Guillain-barrès.ndrome,mostly related to halted axon ***-linking of cell surface gangliosides by anti-ganglioside antibodies triggers inhibition of nerve repair in in vitro and in vivo paradigms of axon *** effects involve the activation of the small GTPase Rho A/ROCK signaling pathways,which negatively modulate growth cone cytoskeleton,similarly to well stablished inhibitors of axon regeneration described so *** aim of this work was to perform a proof of concept study to demonstrate the effectiveness of Y-27632,a selective pharmacological inhibitor of ROCK,in a mouse model of axon regeneration of peripheral nerves,where the passive immunization with a monoclonal antibody targeting gangliosides GD1a and GT1b was previously reported to exert a potent inhibitory effect on regeneration of both myelinated and unmyelinated *** results demonstrate a differential s.nsitivity of myelinated and unmyelinated axons to the pro-regenerative effect of *** with a total dosage of 9 mg/kg of Y-27632 resulted in a complete prevention of anti-GD1a/GT1b monoclonal antibody-mediated inhibition of axon regeneration of unmyelinated fibers to skin and the functional recovery of mechanical cutaneous *** contrast,the same dose showed toxic effects on the regeneration of myelinated ***,scale down of the dosage of Y-27632 to 5 mg/kg resulted in a significant although not complete recovery of regenerated myelinated axons exposed to anti-GD1a/GT1b monoclonal antibody in the abs.nce of toxicity in animals exposed to only ***,these findings confirm the in vivo participation of Rho A/ROCK signaling pathways in the molecular mechanisms associated with the inhibition of axon regeneration induced by anti-GD1a/GT1b monoclonal *** findings open the possibility of therapeutic pharmacological intervention targeting Rho A/R

In this study,a calcium-phosphate coating was formed on a Mg-Mn-Ce alloy by the plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO).The antibiotic vancomycin,widely used in the treatment of infections caused by staphylococcus aureus(***),was impregnated into the *** with vancomycin showed high bactericidal activity against *** mechanical and electrochemical properties of the formed coatings were studied,as well as in vitro cytotoxicity tests and in vivo tests on mature male rats were *** to sEM,EDs,XRD and XPs data,coatings had a developed morphology and contained hydroxyapatite,which indicates high *** analysis of roughness of coatings without and with vancomycin did not reveal any differences,confirming the high roughness of the *** electrochemical tests,an increase in corrosion resistance by more than two times after the application of PEO coatings was *** to the results of an in vivo study,after 28 days of the implantation of samples with calcium phosphate PEO coating and vancomycin,no signs of inflammation were observed,while an inflammatory reaction developed in the area of implantation of bare alloy,followed by *** release tests from the coatings show a sharp decrease in the concentration of the released antibiotic on day 7 and then a gradual decrease until day *** the experiment,no significant deviations in the condition and behavior of the animals were observed;clinical tests did not reveal a systemic toxic reaction.

The aim of this study was to develop self-healable and robust elect roconductive film based on polyaniline copolymer for application as electrode in flexible *** this purpose,the electroconductive polymer brushes(EPb)was *** s.nthesis of EPb is based on graft polymerizations of acrylamide(AAm)on poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA)with formation of PVA-PAAm polymer brush and subsequent graft copolymerization of aniline and p-phenylenediamine on PVA-PAAm resulting in formation of EPb with electroconducting copoly(aniline-co-pphenylenediamine)(PAPh DA).It was found that the ratio between PVA and PAAm at the first stage greatly influence the electrochemical performance of the *** films were prepared by casting of EPb solution with subsequent *** of electrical current distribution through the film with AFM reveal more uniform distribution of PAPhDA in EPb in comparis.n with reference PVA-PAPhDA and PAAm-PAPhDA *** was demonstrated that mechanical cha racteristics and electrical conductivity values of films restore at large extent after curring and self-healing under optimal relative humidity level(58%).The flexile supercapacitor cell with EPb film electrodes demon strate specific capacitance 602 mF·cm^(-2)at the current density of 1 mA·cm^(-2)and retention 94%of initial capacitance after 5000 charge/discharge cycles.

We report on the novel heterometallic quaternary selenide EuCeCuse3,the fabrication of which has been a challenge until this *** structure of the reported selenide was elucidated from the powder X-ray diffraction data,which revealed the formation of EuCeCuse3with excellent yield(96.7%)accompanied with a minor fraction of Cese2(3.3%),and was best solved in orthorhombic space group Pnma with the baLaCus3structural ***,the crystal structure of the title compound completes the row of the heterometallic quaternary selenides EuRECuse3(RE=La,pr,nd,sm,Eu,Gd,Tb,Dy,Ho,Er,Tm,Yb,Lu,Y),of which the cerium-based derivative exclusively belongs to the baLaCus3structural *** distortion of the Cuse4polyhedron was compared for the whole series of EuRECuse3compounds us.ng theτ4-descriptor for four coordinated ions,which revealed the highest degree of distortion for the Ce3+-containing selenide,followed by the La3+-based ***,the crystallographic and geometrical parameters of the reported selenide were discussed in comparis.n to the Ce3+-based sulfides srCeCus3and *** initio calculations of the crystal structure,a phonon spectrum and elastic constants for the crystal of EuCeCuse3were also *** types and wavenumbers of fundame ntal modes were determined and the involvement of ions participating in the phonon modes was *** experimental IR spectrum of the reported selenide was interpreted and found to be in agreement with the calculated *** experimental direct band gap of EuCeCuse3was measured to be 1.36 eV that is consistent with the concept of its origin due to interband transitions between orbitals emerging mainly from 4f(valence band)and 5d(conduction band)levels of the Eu2+*** dependence of the Young’s modulus on the direction demonstrates the anisotropy of the elastic properties,while the Vickers hardness for EuCeCuse3was calculated to be 5.2 ***,the title compound is paramagnetic above 4 K.

We fit various color–magnitude diagrams(CMDs) of the high-latitude Galactic globular clusters.nGC 5024(M53),nGC 5053,nGC 5272(M3),nGC 5466,and nGC 7099(M30) by isochrones from the Dartmouth stellar Evolution Database and bag of stellar Tracks and Isochrones for α–enrichment [α/Fe] = +*** the CMDs,we use data sets from Hubble space Telescope,Gaia,and other sources utilizing,at least,25 photometric filters for each *** obtain the following characteristics with their statistical uncertainties for nGC 5024,nGC 5053,nGC 5272,nGC 5466,and nGC 7099,respectively:metallicities [Fe/H] =-1.93 ± 0.02,-2.08 ± 0.03,-1.60 ± 0.02,-1.95 ± 0.02,and-2.07 ± 0.04 dex with their systematic uncertainty 0.1 dex;ages 13.00 ± 0.11,12.70 ± 0.11,11.63 ± 0.07,12.15 ± 0.11,and 12.80 ± 0.17 Gyr with their systematic uncertainty 0.8 Gyr;distances(systematic uncertainty added) 18.22 ± 0.06 ± 0.60,16.99 ± 0.06 ± 0.56,10.08 ± 0.04 ± 0.33,15.59 ±0.03 ± 0.51,and 8.29 ± 0.03 ± 0.27 kpc;reddenings E(b-V) = 0.023 ± 0.004,0.017 ± 0.004,0.023 ± 0.004,0.023 ± 0.003,and 0.045 ± 0.002 mag with their systematic uncertainty 0.01 mag;extinctions AV= 0.08 ± 0.01,0.06 ± 0.01,0.08 ± 0.01,0.08 ± 0.01,and 0.16 ± 0.01 mag with their systematic uncertainty 0.03 mag,which suggest the total Galactic extinction AV= 0.08 across the whole Galactic dust to extragalactic objects at the north Galactic *** horizontal branch morphology difference of these clusters is explained by their different metallicity,age,mass-loss efficiency,and loss of low-mass members in the evolution of the core-collapse cluster nGC 7099 and loose clusters.nGC 5053 and nGC 5466.

In this paper,we analyzed the physical characteristics of the ternary alloys RE_(2)Rh_(3)Ge(RE=pr and sm)us.ng the first principles calculation based on functional density theory integrated in the Wien2k *** calculated formation energies of pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and sm_(2)Rh_(3)Ge are−5.3827 and−5.2782 eV/atom,respectively,showing that these alloys may exist *** results of the band structure and density of states indicate that all of the compounds tested are magnetic metals,and their magnetism is mostly related to the contribution of pr and sm *** total magnetic moments of pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and sm_(2)Rh_(3)Ge are 4.07245 and 11.16161μb/f.u,*** parameters such as heat capacity at constant pressure,entropy,Debye temperature,lattice volume,compressibility coefficients,and Grüneis.n parameter alloys were calculated us.ng the Gibbs algorithm and studied in depth over a large temperature range of 0-900 *** Debye temperature increases with increas.ng pressure and decreases with decreas.ng ***,the Debye temperatures calculated at p=0 GPa and T=300 K are equal to be 342 and 322 K for pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and sm_(2)Rh_(3)Ge,*** optical characteristics such as the real and imaginary portions of the dielectric function,the absorption coefficient,the energy-loss function,and the refractive index were investigated and discussed in more depth.

La_2 O_3 doped(na0.495 K0.455 Li0.05)(nb0.95 Ta0.05)O_3 ceramics are prepared us.ng modified milling process, and the influences of La2 O3 on ferroelectric behaviour, ageing characteristics, thermal stability, electrical stability, crystal structure, microstructure, dielectric and piezoelectric properties were reported. La_2 O_3 addition improved the ferroelectric characteristic substantially, and obtained remnant polarization(pr) and maximum strain(smax) around 34.3 C/cm^2 and 0.13% ***_2 O_3 doped ceramics improved the thermal stability and were stable up to 180 ℃ compared to undoped ceramics(120 ℃). The Rietveld refinement along with the high-temperature X-ray diffraction studies suggested the pres.nce of monoclinic phase in La doped compositions, which is responsible for their idios.ncratic behaviour. The maximum values were obtained around 179 pC/n and 0.385 for piezoelectric constant(d33) and electromechanical coupling factor(kp) respectively in La_2 O_3 doped samples(0.02 wt%), which also exhibited the lowest ageing rate and stable electrical fatigue behaviour.
