Computed tomography-based radiomics diagnostic approach for differential diagnosis between early-and late-stage pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

BACKGROUND One of the primary reasons for the dismal survival rates in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)is that most patients are usually diagnosed at late stages.There is an urgent unmet clinical need to identify and develop diagnostic methods that could precisely detect PDAC at its earliest stages.METHODS A total of 71 patients with pathologically proved PDAC based on surgical resection who underwent contrast-enhanced computed tomography(CT)within 30 d prior to surgery were included in the study.Tumor staging was performed in accordance with the 8th edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer staging system.Radiomics features were extracted from the region of interest(ROI)for each patient using Analysis Kit software.The most important and predictive radiomics features were selected using Mann-Whitney U test,univar-iate logistic regression analysis,and minimum redundancy maximum relevance(MRMR)method.Random forest(RF)method was used to construct the radiomics model,and 10-times leave group out cross-validation(LGOCV)method was used to validate the robustness and reproducibility of the model.RESULTS A total of 792 radiomics features(396 from late arterial phase and 396 from portal venous phase)were extracted from the ROI for each patient using Analysis Kit software.Nine most important and predictive features were selected using Mann-Whitney U test,univariate logistic regression analysis,and MRMR method.RF method was used to construct the radiomics model with the nine most predictive radiomics features,which showed a high discriminative ability with 97.7%accuracy,97.6%sensitivity,97.8%specificity,98.4%positive predictive value,and 96.8%negative predictive value.The radiomics model was proved to be robust and reproducible using 10-times LGOCV method with an average area under the curve of 0.75 by the average performance of the 10 newly built models.CONCLUSION The radiomics model based on CT could serve as a promising non-invasive method in differential diagnosis between early and late stage PDAC.

Identification and Dna Barcoding of a New Sillago Species in Beihai and Zhanjiang,China,with a Key to Related Species

A new Sillago species,Sillago parasihama sp.n.,is identified based on 127 specimens collected from the southern coast of China.We compared the morphological characters between Sillago parasihama and all other 11 Sillago species with two posterior extensions on the swim bladder.The new species is like S.sihama in the countable characters and color pattern,but is different from the latter by the distinct swim bladders.The swim bladder of S.parasihama is without lateral process.The posterior sub-extensions of anterolateral extensions are unique with some dendritic or sometimes stunted blind tubule,which are unilateral and outward,ex-tending along the abdominal,and are about one-third to half of the body of swim bladder in length.But the swim bladder of S.si-hama with 8-10 lateral processes,the posterior sub-extensions of anterolateral extensions are kinky,long and complicated,extend-ing along the abdominal wall below the peritoneum to the base of posterior extensions.S.parasihama can be distinguished from other species in this group by color pattern,meristic,and morphometric characters.Moreover,the results of genetic analysis using sequences of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I(COI)fragment show significant interspecific-level genetic distances(0.159-0.231)between S.parasihama and 8 congeners in the group,which also support the validity of new species.We also provide a distribution map and a key of the related species.

数字化时代为传统工艺的保护与传承创造了机遇,同时也使其面临着诸多法律挑战。知识产权侵权行为频发,反映了立法指导性与司法适用性的缺陷与不足。传统工艺作为一种传统知识与知识产权具有一致性。由于传统工艺历史悠久、品类繁多,且具有文化性与经济性的双重属性,以及公共利益与私人利益的双重关系,这决定了传统工艺的法律保护必然呈现出复杂性与多样性。因此,从文化进化论的角度提出传统工艺的“文化模因”分类标准,即“物态器物模因”“行为实践模因”以及“无形精神模因”,为传统工艺的立法完善与司法适用提出针对性的分类保护思路与对应策略:以著作权为主的“物态模因保护”、以专利权或商业秘密为主的“行为模因保护”、以商标权或地理标志为主的“精神模因保护”,以期更加有效地保护传统工艺及其相关智力成果,防止侵权行为的发生。

BACKGROUND Solid pseudopapillary neoplasms of the pancreas(SPN)share similar imaging findings with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma with cystic changes(PDAC with cystic changes),which may result in unnecessary surgery.AIM To investigate the value of computed tomography(CT)in differentiation of SPN from PDAC with cystic changes.METHODS This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical and imaging findings of 32 patients diagnosed with SPN and 14 patients diagnosed with PDAC exhibiting cystic changes,confirmed through pathological diagnosis.Quantitative and qualitative analysis was performed,including assessment of age,sex,tumor size,shape,margin,density,enhancement pattern,CT values of tumors,CT contrast enhancement ratios,“floating cloud sign,”calcification,main pancreatic duct dilatation,pancreatic atrophy,and peripancreatic invasion or distal metastasis.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to identify relevant features to differentiate between SPN and PDAC with cystic changes,and receiver operating characteristic curves were obtained to evaluate the diagnostic performance of each variable and their combination.RESULTS When compared to PDAC with cystic changes,SPN had a lower age(32 years vs 64 years,P0.05).The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the combination was 0.833(95%confidence interval:0.708-0.957)with 78.6%sensitivity,81.3%specificity,and 80.4%accuracy in differentiation of SPN from PDAC with cystic changes.CONCLUSION A larger tumor size,“floating cloud sign,”and peripancreatic invasion or distal metastasis are use

学科分类方法研究是学科交叉评价的重要环节,为学科交叉测度研究奠定了基础。文章在总结现有的学科分类研究视角和学科分类体系的基础上,基于对《中国图书馆分类法》和国家标准《学科分类与代码》的理解,利用文献分析工具Derwent Data Analyzer构建了一种基于中图分类号和国家标准学科分类体系之间映射关系的学科分类方法。该学科分类方法可根据文献标记的中图分类号将文献直接划分到国家标准学科体系当中。该方法操作相对简单,以单篇论文作为分类标准较为精确,并且划分的学科目录在国内也具有很强代表性和说服力。

Profile and development of microsatellite primers for Acanthogobius ommaturus based on high-throughput sequencing technology

Acanthogobius ommaturus,a fish species of the Family Gobiidae,is a marine commercial fish perched on the bottom of seawater.In this study,Illumina high-throughput sequencing technology was applied to obtain the candidate microsatellite markers of A.ommaturus.A total of 4746 microsatellite-rich fragments were found,of which 4542 microsatellites are with primer fragments,containing 971 dinucleotide sequences,2643 trinucleotide sequences,569 tetranucleotide sequences,406 pentanucleotide sequences,and 212 hexanucleotide sequences.Based on the results of high-throughput sequencing,a total of 141 pairs of the microsatellite primers were designed and screened.And then 24 polymorphic primers were finally obtained by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.In total,271 alleles were detected in the 24 pairs of primers.The number of alleles for different primers ranged from 5 to 19.The average number of effective alleles(na)was 11.292;the average observed heterozygosity(Ho)of the 24 pairs of primers was 0.665,the average expected heterozygosity(He)was 0.880,and the average polymorphic information content was 0.846.All sites were highly polymorphic(PIC>0.50).

Platycephalus in Chinese sea area has a high commercial value.However,there were mis-identifications in previous records.In this study,we fully distinguished and diagnosed all five species,Platycephalus indicus,P.cultellatus,Platycephalus sp.,Platycephalus sp.1 and Platycephalus sp.2.The results revealed that P.cultellatus was overlooked by previous ichthyologists.Platycephalus sp.1 was misidentified as P.indicus in reality,and Platycephalus sp.2 only existed in the seas of Japan.Furthermore,morphological,especially phylogenetic analysis indicated that Platycephalus sp.from South China Sea differs from all former known species,which might be a new species.We identified all Platycephalus species in China seas for the first time,which will contribute to local species identification,biodiversity conservation and sustainable exploitation of Platycephalus species.

Population Genetic Analysis of Sillago nigrofasciata (Perciformes:Sillaginidae) Along the Coast of China by Sequencing Mitochondrial Dna Control Region

Sillago nigrofasciata, a small to moderate size nearshore species, is newly found along the eastern and southern coasts of China. The present study is carried out in order to analyze the population genetics of the S. nigrofasciata. The control region sequence of mitochondrial Dna revealing 73 haplotypes were obtained from 162 individuals collected at 8 locations along the coast of China. The whole S. nigrofasciata population along the coast of China showed a low nucleotide diversity(0.012) and a high population diversity(haplotype diversity)(0.943), and all the 8 local populations showed low nucleotide diversities(0.014 – 0.001), suggesting the protective measures are effective. The haplotypes of the 8 local populations were widely distributed in haplotype network diagram and neighbor-joining phylogenetic tree, while no branch associating with sampling locations was detected. Recent gene flow analysis showed asymmetric gene exchanges among local populations. The pairwise FST values and unweighted pair-group method with arithmetic mean(UPGMA) tree revealed a certain amount of genetic difference among local populations. Moreover, analysis of molecular variance(AMOVA) reflected genetic differences between hypothetical subdivision groups. Neutral test and mismatch distribution of pairwise nucleotide suggested S. nigrofasciata may have experienced recent population expansion events. The historical geographic events associating with ice age may be the main explanation to the heterogeneity among local populations with short geographic distances, and the homogeneity among local populations with long geographic distances.

目的探讨依托“雨课堂”平台的混合式教学模式在特殊时期骨科临床护理教学中的应用效果。方法选取在大连医科大学附属第二医院创伤骨一科临床实习的护理本科生为研究对象,将2020年6月至2021年1月的护生设定为对照组,2021年6月至2022年1月的护生设定为试验组,分别采用传统方式和依托“雨课堂”平台的混合式教学模式进行教学,以笔试成绩、操作成绩及护生满意度作为评价指标。结果经过对比,试验组理论成绩及操作成绩分别是(95.26±2.31)分和(96.60±2.24)分,对照组理论成绩及操作成绩分别是(87.53±6.44)分和(90.32±2.72)分,试验组分数均高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P <0.001);同时,试验组护生对临床带教的满意度高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P <0.05)。结论依托“雨课堂”平台的混合式教学模式能明显提高护生在临床实习过程中的参与度和学习的积极性,使护生掌握更多的疾病护理专科知识,为以后正式踏入临床工作打下坚实的基础。
